Second time growing this strain. The last time was during a record braking heat wave despite this to her credit she still produces 26 grams, this time I'm hoping for closer to 100 :)
my little seedling wont be little for much longer :). added food to the water 11-2-23 she hasn't got roots in to the solution yet just there for when she is ready. I'll add the notes for ratios next week against the photos from the same feed period
Apart from a suspected calcium deficiency that was stopped by adding 20ml of calmag she's plodding along nicely. Roots look good leaves are fat like an indica new growth is popping out of most nodes i suspect shell be bushy :)
She seems OK, but the leaves do look a little curled at the tips not sure if I should worry. I cut some of the lower branches off, I'm going to aim for 8 colas so I don't have as much trimming to do.
She's much happier this week, I'm an idiot and was over feeding the 1st 2 weeks. I reused the Excel spreadsheet from the last grow and forgot to reset the values that allowed for an extra 10L of solution to dilute to 50:50 top up water. Now the solution is a bit weaker she seems happier and no new leaf stress.
I've topped her hoping for a few fat buds to trim rather than loads of smaller ones. Strong genetics of the last Banana Purple Punch I grew leave me confident'ish she'll be OK. Every grows a learning day :)
More defoliation of bud sites, I don't think will get any light. She seems to have removed OK from the topping, quite a few pre flowers I think still too early to switch to flower nutrients, maybe mid-week. I've started LST, this is probably my favourite bit of the grow.
She's growing tall on the stretch, I didn't expect that. Still some calcium deficiency on the Lower leaves, but she's steaming along. I'm removing lower bud sites as i go.
So I massively underestimated the stretch she's grown 300 mm in a week and where I tied down the branches at the topping site she split herself in half trying to grow up. I think this has caused a bit of stress and the buds look small and spaced out, hopefully she'll bulk up. Smells great.
Started the week not to bad then it became clear something wasn’t right with the leaves, I suspected calcium deficiency so added more Calmag. The situation didn’t improve so after some research I decided I had a K deficiency, this would also explain why she has gotten so tall. After adding another 20ml of A&B bloom she seemed to pick up, then on Friday night I noticed the veins of the leaves going brown. Saturday morning I flushed the sump with 10L of pure RO and set and feed at “flowers increase in size” week 8 of the VitaLink schedule. This week after the reset I have EC of 2.4 vs the 2.8 of Friday night. Lets hope she has a better week this week. Every days a learning day
She's plodding along and doesn't seem to be getting sicker since I upped her food. Smells coming on, and she's got a few purple bits. I think despite the issues, she'll still be OK come harvest time :)
So, this one has really caught me out with her speed, I think I’ve probably been a few weeks behind with my fertilisation regime the whole time. Looking at her this week the pistils are all orange 1 or 2 trichomes have gone amber with most milky. I think later in the week I’ll put her on pure RO and cut her down next weekend. This week I put her on the PK boost rather than the buddy probably a bit late and maybe I should have gone with the finale. Every plants a luring plant.
Had to hang individual branches as she was so tall. Her roots look fantastic, I was a bit worried because my peltier chillers stopped working a week or so ago. I will invest in a real chiller for my next grow, £££ 😟. The buds look well-formed and none are "popcorn" so when it comes time to trim it shouldn't be too much of a chore. I'll have a go at guessing weight but I'm normally well off, I'll say about 110g. She's probably one of the nicest looking plants I've grown. I'll have a bit more to say in a few weeks
@ILoveGrowingBudzGR, Thanks mate been prototyping every grow over the last few years. It's getting to the point where I can't make many more modifications a few tweaks to the drain position this grow then maybe next time I'll build the final design. I'd like to take the cooler out of the sump and run it in line but Ive not worked out the best way to do this yet my current idea is a bit of a bodge, still i have 12 to 16 weeks to work it out😂.
Hey there,
Thanks a bunch for growing our genetics, and sharing this diary with us :)
We hope that it was a nice experience, and that you enjoy the harvest!
Have a good one
