The Gorilla Cake is looking fantastic!
No issues at all following last week's training incident that saw a pretty significant splitting of the stem. I melted some candle wax over the break to help seal things up a bit and have the afflicted branch propped up and supported as well.
She got her first feed this week. Giving her Remo nutes which she seems to love, and also gives me opportunity to use up the VeloKelp and Nature's Candy I have on hand as it doesn't really play well in my DWC setup.
More news next week. Thanks for tuning in βοΈ
@Oozle, Yup. I started feeding once a week around 2nd week of flower. Leaf tips were looking a bit burnt at one point so I skipped a week of feed and then resumed. I was wondering if I should be feeding more frequently, but she doesn't seem to be suffering any deficiencies so I'm staying the course.
Plant looks great. Nice Turgor. Looks really happy. Going from DWC to soil is like π€π€ sometimes, but I like the break. I think I'm keeping 1 of my tents soil because it breaks up the amount of work I have to do.
@Oozle, My grandmother used to graft the branches from other fruit trees onto the apple tree in her back yard - she would use wax to help seal up her joins. I figured I would pay homage to her technique and give it a shot. Not that I think it strengthened anything in this case but it did seal up the wound.
I always thought it was wild that she had plums and apples growing on the same tree. I did a little bit of research and found that it's also feasible to do it with cannabis - it doesn't seem very practical though π
