My First Grow (WIP)

Good first experience overall. I did not expect the growth spur of early flower to be this intense, I only had 1-2 inch of space above the light which was a bit concerning. Combined with the early heat waves we had and the longer flower period, I had lots of issues with temperature as I got closer to harvest. Next time, I will start growing from August until end of December so that I don't have the same issues later in the grow. I will also try to do a better job at training the plant to keep it low and also probably cut a lot more branches to reduce the number of very small colas.

18/08 After 3 weeks in the jar, the buds still feel a bit sticky and look very green still. I took a bud that I wanted to test and set it apart it in it's own jar for a few days. The smell of that bud was still quite green but I could also smell a strong pine odour with a very faint blueberry aroma. The buds will need a couple more weeks to mature to their peak form. I'm not sure about the normal density of this strain, but I'd say the bud was of a medium density. It could probably have grown more dense had the temperature been a bit colder during the last half of flowering. Grinding was surprisingly easy, breaking down quickly and with very little residue left in the grinder. The grind was nice and uniform with few bigger chunks to break down. For taste, you definitely still taste the chlorophyll confirming that more time in cure is required. I also got a strong pine flavour with a little bit of sweetness in the background, too faint to make out the staple blueberry taste. I loaded my Pax2 with a medium tamp, set it on the first temperature setting (360°F) and took a couple of regular puffs. The high hit quickly and strongly but it still kept me sharp. It put me in a very happy state where I could experience/create anything I wanted, in this case I went to listening to music. I am dealing with some tense muscles in the feet which is uncomfortable, but once I was high, I could not feel that pain unless I was walking on it. There was little downsides to this experience other than feeling a bit thirsty, but that's why I always have a water bottle around. Very pleased with the result up to now. Cannot wait for it to mature a bit more to get rid of the chlorophyll smell/taste. More to come in a few weeks
