S06: Cali Deli by Hypno Seeds

Bang! Welcome to the third week of the Cali Deli diary. Straight at the beginning I can already see superior genetics or a lucky phenotype because I've never seen vigor like this in a cannabis plant. I wanted to try to maximize the veg growth with additional CO2 and stronger lights and the plants' response to it is bonkers. It's growing really fast in comparison to everything I've grown so far and especially this season. Just wow. It's growing so fast that I'll try to top it several times because there's still no space in the flowering room and I need to keep it under control for a later stage. Let's hope for the best! Holy crapity crap! Hi guys! I was right about this plant from the get go! The fan leaves are as huge as they get at this stage. I've never grown leaves that big! They seem to be straight out of the Jurassic era when there was a lot more CO2 in the atmosphere. It's growing super strong and really fast. Normally I'd switch it to flowering because it's at a perfect stage right now but I still have to wait for the Red Hot Cookies to be ready for harvest which means it'll stay in veg for another week or two. I also performed the first topping on this plant. When bounces back I'll top it again again and again. I'm super pumped for this one! XOXO Cremo

Sup, sup guys! Let me show you what I meant in previous weeks by saying that the foliage on this plant is bonkers! Just look at the photographs in the gallery! If you don't want to watch all the photos then just take a deep long look at the first picture! Both plants in this photographs started the same day but after just a few weeks you can see how much of a monster Cali Deli is going be! Every time I look into the veg room it fuckin amazes me of the sheer size of this plant! The fan leaves are 25-30cm huge! It's crazy! So the plan is perform another round of topping, only this time I'll top it several times, and defoliate pretty heavily because these leaves cover everything up! I'll top this plant around 6-8 times and I'll leave it at this, let it recover and transplant it into the flowering room because I Red Hot Cookies is about to go down in the coming days. Alrighty, hey guys, I transplanted the Cali Deli into the flowering room and she exploded just a few days later. I honestly thought that these fan leaves couldn't grow any bigger, but look at this. Around 35cm long fan leaves... I mean, what the actual fuck??? I had to defoliate and cut off any small branches from the bottom to the top and almost only left the ones from several toppings. Looking good for now! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, this week went by like a breeze. The plant stretched and doesn't seem to slow down. The foliage grew so much that I had to defoliate heavily AGAIN! I also added 16L of fresh water with nutes. Next week I'll exchange the whole water tank. You can see the before and after defoliation photographs in the gallery. Hi guys. I'm sooooooo happy about this particular phenotype. I've never seen seen a plant so vigorous as this one. Cali Deli is doing great. It's in flowering already, the bud sites are here, she develops perfectly. No signs of any deficiencies. Can't wait for it to flower properly :D I bet the res water exchange did their due and after another heaaaavy defoliation it's back on track practically without any pause. Love these kind of genetics. Hopefully she'll be as good as she grows! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, Welcome to another update on the Cali Deli. Looking at the thickness of the branches, it seems like the plants is sucking up water with nutrients like crazy! She's been such a beast from the get to. As I said before, I've never seen genetics this vigorous! Crazy! I had to defoliate her again because she got very bushy again in a matter of days. I also decided to supercrop a few branches because I KNEW I COULD :P She's so strong that she didn't even flinch :D Her bud sites are covered in a crazy amount of pistils! I can't wait to get my hands on her and I say it again, I didn't have this much fun growing in a long time! This season is truly magnificent! This monster genetics, then the beautifully trained Shogun with a gazillion bud sites, then Vino Tinto, a beautiful mutant and Forgotten Haze Cake that is taking off like crazy. There's still the Juicy Pussy which looks most beautiful right now before its final day and the Purple OG Punch that is getting violet hues a week or two before harvest. I LOVE IT! Have a great one! Hi there, here's a quick update on the Cali Deli. She's getting fatter and fatter every week. The smell that is coming from the flowering room is sweet and I can't wait to try it out! The trichomes are becoming more and more milky. It looks like she's got around 3 weeks to go until the milky/golden trichome ratio is on point. Let's see how the buds develop in the coming weeks because I'm in need of some bomb ass new shots of my plants :D Please enjoy this hairy lady :D XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, just a few quick updates. The whole plant matures as expected, I need to defoliate heavily because it gets so bushy in there, and I want to have the best possible light penetration because I want to have great nugs, even the popcorn ones. Other than that, look at these beautiful buds, it's getting there. A few weeks and it should be ready for a chop chop! Stay tuned fam! XOXO Cremo

Hi guys, a few weeks went by in the background and the time has come to finish this freak of a beauty :D The Cali Deli was hands down the most vigorous plant I've ever grown with its biggest leaves to date. I'm so happy that I've topped it soooo many times. The nugs are rock hard and big. I decided to do the same thing as with the Shogun, just take out the whole plant with its root system and manicure it live. The smell is sooo amazing, the whole room is filled with it. Looking at the size of all the buds, these will be so great, a great bunch of big nugs, even the popcorn buds seem to be developed and pretty mature. Can't say nothing in regards to weight, because I chopped down the whole tree and will let it slowly dry and make the sugars in the branches get to the nugs and make them rooooock hard. Damn, that will be a pleasure in around 10-14 days to put it into grove bags for curing :D :D :D I have nothing more to add, just enjoy these few photographs of the final moments of the Cali Deli! The Cali Deli was a blast to grow and chop down. It's the most vigorous plant I've grown so far. I also never seen these kind of mammoth leafs compared to anything I've grown thus far! Great looking and great smelling pheno! Def recommend it!
