So I’m starting my new grow. It’s been awhile since my last one unfortunately, but I love to grow and I’m starting to get that itch. I got a busted up 2x4 I’m going to patch up and make her work. Using a KQ0 1200w light on 20% right now during germ. Going with the Barney’s farm watermelon zkittles. I’ve read great things about this strain and I’m ready to put it to the test. I’m going to Germ straight In the soil with a little clear dome over them. I’m using tap water from my well. “Cooked” the water and tested my PH right at 6.3-6.4. I’m going full Organic this time. I made my own soil. I used half a bag of Happy Frog, found some stuff called Whitney Farms it contains Processed Forest Products, Sphagnum Peat Moss, Poultry Litter, Alfalfa Meal, and Kelp Meal. Great stuff other words. It’s a 2 month feeder. Im also using the Gaia green All Purpose, worm castings and green sand at this moment. Added a bag of perlite and let this baby cook for two weeks. I’ve still got to bring the temps down in my little closet set up. I ran a new outlet to supply the setup. Im going to be adding extra moisture and a cooler surroundings to add to the RH and dropping the temps. They should be just fine in these temps while germinating though. I’ve got a ton of stuff I could post but I know how it goes with these things, you can get long winded pretty quick. But I’m looking forward to sharing this grow with my gromies again and looking forward to getting back to the best community on the web! Happpy growing my friends!

Not much going on yet. I’ve got one seed that’s taken off and the other not much. I’m going to give the one that hasn’t germ. About 2 more days, by then it will be 10 days. I’ve had some late starters before so I’m thinking she’s going to be a late one. The one that’s grown she stretching like crazy. I’ve had to add more soil to lower the stretches. I’ve got them under 200w and have grown a few under this light and none have stretched like her. I’m hoping for that unicorn! Well this will be the end of my first week. I’ve added a humidifier to the closest so I don’t get her to moist. I want to bring my RH up a little closer to 60%. I’m going to be adding the CO2 again this year after how crazy I seen my plants grow after I added it last time. Well that’s it folk’s I look forward to this grow. It’s been almost 1 1/2 years since my last grow so I’ve been dying to grow. Thanks for checking me out Peace, Love and Grow

So, I went out of town for a couple days and I had someone watch my babies for me. I come back to some concerns. They’re stretching, the stem is weak still and they’re really not producing like others. I think he may of over watered? Any ideas. Thanks in advance! Peace love&Grow

Its looks they did they a little stretch. This can easily be fixed when uppotting.. just bury so the surface of the sub in that pot is below the new. I take it you can't move your light, r dimmer. If so you might have it too far away? You could put your plant on a base and raise it up some. These are young girls. The sub always stays wet for the 1st week or so when they just sprout. Unless you pour lightly there's just no way to dry that up unless you pack it or add sand/perlite. To help her dry up quicker and roots and breath. Agitate the soil. A fork ran over it lightly, keep doing this it'll help 02 get to your roots. Therefore making for a healthier root zone and therefore a stronger plant. Good growing

So I was fixing a problem and found what seem to be beneficial mites? This is my first organic grow and have never dealt with these before. I haven’t notice a overload of them but are they dangerous and will they get worse? Any advice with experience will be much appreciated

There what were larva and will soon be fruit flies. Have you flies in your tent. If so I have a diary of everything I did to get rid of them The Males lay eggs. Then there's larva and then, they turn into that just before they get their wings. I have seen them a loads times. Just in soil i bought and the larva stays dormant if dries out enough and waits for the perfect breeding ground. If you dont have fliers yet. You soon will. Have a look at my diary.

Well I’m a bit behind here. I left out of town for a few days and come back to some issues. Issue 1: Overwatered Issue 2: Light went bad and wasn’t producing enough to give my babies what they wanted. They stretched and didn’t actually Grow any bigger just taller. They was very weak and was almost like a noodle. I had a old 600w burple light that did the job. I tested UVs and she was still producing like a champ, she just gets warm. Issue 3: Mfing PEST. I noticed in my soil to what I thought might of been beneficial mites, I was wrong. After some great knowledge from GD pros come to find out it’s Baby Gnats. Found some organic DIATOMACEOUS EARTH garden safe. I had to transplant my babies already but only went to a little bit bigger pot and not the final one. Burying the stem, and left watering. My soil was moist enough to feed during transplant obviously bc their doing a lot better. I’m applying my DE to the dry soil and to help prevent any issues im going to do a straight 6.5 water feed from the bottom. Just applying the water to my tray and letting them go get it. I’m hoping the DE clears the bugs up and I can get these girls back on the right track. Lowered the RH to help fight off these bugs. As of right now they took well to the transplant and already have gotten stronger at the stem. With challenges come knowledge! Thanks for checking it out Peace love & grow

Well a lot has changed. After battling bugs I changed a lot on this Grow. I moved it out of my closet I was growing it in and put it next to a ac vent. Took them out of the 2x4x6 tent and put them in my 2x2x4 tent to help keep my room temps at level. Finally got rid of the bugs and they have recovered well. They’re starting to grow faster again. Really let them dry out the last two waters before watering. Maybe water a full pot once a week. I give a shot glass full of water as the top soil drys out. The plants are different ones a original skunk #1 and the watermelon zkittles. They both are very different and the zkittles is producing more smell at the moment. WZ is more compacted and tight as the OGS#1 is bigger and filling out more. Both starting to do well. I’ve got a spider farmer SF1000 light coming and a new humidifier and a CO2 bag coming. I ran CO2 last year and my plants went crazy afterwards. Well thanks for stopping by. I did miss a week on here due to all the complications but now I’ll keep a update every week. Peace Love and Grow
