Ok week again no problems, didn’t have a clue what ec was then figured out it was ppm. So started that measurement it’s about 400 going in. I knocked a stem with my tent door but taped it up hopefully will be ok. I have one plant high the rest are smaller I took photos of each one is budding much quicker than the others. I have stopped the defoliation as everyone on this website told me too much. I am using grow weed easy site for the nutrients guide I look at others and they are all using much more than me. ?? Anyway every week is a progress week it’s got cooler in canada so eaiser to maintain the temps.

Hello @mrhat2001 ! Definitely both. The broader the spectrum the better the outcome will be ( especially at quality 😉 ) . The flower setting by its own you are going to use it probably never 😜 unless for some reason you want them to get stretched in order to perform some kind of training. Happy growing ! 👊

Guys ok I am start of week 6 I think everything so far is ok I am on full spectrum led light 20/4. Please look at the pics what can I expect for week 6 7 8 etc as I have no idea. I am sticking to defoliation once per week nutrient 5 out of 7 days , using the grow weed easy guide.

Hi @mrhat2001! Plant looks a bit under-watered and probably under heat-stress. I would stop defoliation at this stage since your plant has stopped making new leaves, and she still needs those to proceed to photosynthesis. I would also stop FloraNovaGrow intakes since she doesn't need Nitrogen anymore. All she needs is a bit of P+K booster to help buds fattening up. You can expect bud fattening, resin/trichomes production. You will need to inspect your trichomes on a daily basis to understand their maturation process, and you will also need to flush the soil for a few days before harvest, to get rid of any nutrients/chemicals in the buds. Patience is the key, but you're doing fine, I'm confident you'll be rewarded with a good yield. Happy growing 👊

Hi @mrhat2001! I won't recommend such kind of post harvest treatment. You worked hard for months in order to get those buds fat and frosty, you don't want to ruin your final product with a risky method. You should flush your medium, to get the optimum potency/taste, but don't touch your buds, even with your fingers, trichomes are precious (and fragile), a badly done washing operation may lead to resin loss or worst. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and enjoy your harvest! 👊

@mrhat2001, Dont do to much defoilation, just picking the leaves that block the light to the flowers. Otherwise she gives the energy in building leaves instead of Fatten up Flowers

Newbie grower here, so it's just my 2 cents, but if you are really giving her 5ml per gallon, that is way too much. Recommended is 1ml per litre at this stage in a soilless grow. At least that's what I read. Might want to dial that back a bit. Good luck!

@BeefWellingtons, to be faitr i think 5ml per gallon is ok it isnt 5ml per ltr? 1Ml per litre is 4ml per gallon?

If you are talking about a flush, yes. Go ahead and just give water to wash out nutes and salts and whatnot. If you are talking about a post harvest wash I have seen it done on YouTube and it won't hurt your buds, but it's really done more for outdoor growers to remove bugs and dust and stuff like that, not really needed for indoor growers. You can search youtube for something like cannabis washing to see how it's done, but I doubt you need it.

I would give it another week from now and then check again, but I would bet they could use 2 more weeks to fatten up.

@mrhat2001 still lots of white pistils. You're at least a week out, but you might seriously benefit if you wait 2 weeks more before harvest. Time to get a magnifier so you can observe the tricomes and get a better reading? Great job so far!

yes the plant needs more time maybe the stress from the defoliation slowed down the grow for a bit

I would suggest you refrain from further defoliation at this point. Each time you do it, it's a shock to the plant and then the plant has to recover. So doing it every week will stunt it, and make your harvest 2 or 3 weeks late. Imo, you did a great job on the first pic, try tucking the leaves if they are in the way. Good luck!
