This is my first attempt at LST. I am finding that I bent the stem too closely to the soil initially and plan to correct in the future, but this one is bushing out very nicely. Using self-watering pots, so feeding schedule is taking some getting used to.
Added an aquarium air pump and bubbler to each of the reservoir trays on the self-watering pots last night (Day 28) and woke up to a nice bit of growth. Even though the LST has been a bit aggressive, it is paying off, as there are several growth tips, and the canopy is starting to level out. I plan to let it stretch up more this week so that I can continue the LST and level it off around week 6 or 7. The roots are starting to grow into the reservoir of the pot as well, so I'm curious if I should switch to a hydroponic nutrient regimen?
Day 32 tried some tiger bloom with the big bloom. Just a tad too much nitrogen and it nutrient locked, but I was watching it closely and caught it very early on day 31. Today, the plant has recovered well. Growth is so bushy. Did some more defoliation today.
Day 35 she is looking bushy today lol. After work, I'll do some defoliation to start week 6 out strongly.
As she's only entering pre flower. I'm afraid you've missed your window to get in a defol before PF.
After PF is over. (Youll know, as she'll stop putting on height, "the stretch", then you can go ahead and open her bud sites up to your light.
Going down up and each node. Remove all major fan leafs. Making sure to leave a set at the very top. And also any leafs at the bottom can stay as they not blocking out light

Had more nutrient lock, decided against straight feeding from the reservoir. I've been feeding with big bloom at half strength and added tiger bloom at slightly less than half, and I feel like the extra nitrogen was just too much.
She's recovering nicely now (Day 45) and is in full bloom lol. Very faint odors amplified when defoliating and it's hard to place exactly, but it smells great. Very earthy.
Day 49 brings some great growth. The top buds are setting in and the plant has a very light dank odor. Foliage is looking better and I think it pulled through the nutrient lock pretty well.
Wow, she's getting pretty stinky. Very earthy, dank notes. Trichomes are popping up all over and the buds are setting up well. Did some hst on a few branches to see what difference it makes. The stems on those 2 branches have already formed the typical knots. I'm anxious to see if it really impacts yield when compared with similar branches from the same plant.
So far, so good. Tops are fattening up slightly, stretch is well passed. The root ball in the reservoir is unreal.
Figuring out feeding with this container is definitely a challenge. She's in full blown potassium and phosphorus deficiency status, but I've increased the dosage on fertilizer so I'm hoping to counteract that. It's already starting to work, I'm just timid about overdoing it.
Easy week, just treating the nutrient deficiency. I've found that at this point, the self watering pot is best treated as hydroponic growth and I've been keeping a nutrient solution in the reservoir to suit that. The growth has been great, and the buds are really starting to swell
She did great this week, but the difficulty in balancing nutrients is very apparent. I'll have to keep working with this grow format to get things dialed in, but I like the results I've gotten so far.
Did some defoliation and now I'm watching it fatten the rest of the way. Seeing a lot more trichomes turned milky in the last few days, but she's still got a whole.
