And we are off once again. Just a super basic 5 gallon bucket setup for the tiny babies. They will be happy here, under domes not pictured, for a few weeks before I need to change out the water and eventually move them into larger containers. I'm planning on firing up the time-lapse camera for this one so the early veg stages should give us some great video. Running this completely blind as I have zero experience with the breeder or strain.

A full week down from germination and we are rolling along nicely. One plant popped a day later than the other and is lagging behind a bit but things should even out here as we get into veg. They will spend another two weeks in these buckets before they get transferred into larger containers. Not much else to say about tiny plants. Next week a time-lapse should be available as the plants are big enough to actually be seen on camera.

Moving along nicely now. The timelapse is showing some nice growth over the last 6 days. The next month should really be fun to watch. I plan to let them stay in the buckets for another week before I move them into the larger containers. Not much else to see early on. They should be ready for their first clipping here soon. Fun fun!

One more week down in the early veg. Later today or tomorrow I will give them a FIM along with some light training. The plants are really taking off as you can see in the time-lapse. Always fun watching the plants move about. With luck the next few weeks there will be some great explosive growth videos. Fun fun.

Well, they got their first topping midway through last week. Waited a few days then gave them a bit more stress with a container change. Probably should have waited a few more days before moving them but they seem to have bounced back well. Started the transition to flowering and will go ahead and give them a quick defoliation and trim again starting next week. That will be the end of clipping and such.

Another week down and I think its time to move the camera up a bit. Getting hard to keep them both in that dumpy camera's optics. At some point I'm doing to invest in some decent glass for these videos. The plants seem to be rocking along fine after their initial topping. Did some light defoliating here and there but I'll pretty much leave them alone from this point on. I might do a bit more training but honestly I'm not after a perfect canopy.

Pistols everywhere now, I was getting low key worried lol I've done a bit of trimming here and there in the last week. Pretty much all set for their final run into flowering. I might trim off a few more of the tiny branches on the bottom. They will need to be pinned down a bit here and there. I really need to get on that. Reservoir topping off has started now, they make it roughly five days before I need to add a bit of water.

Another week down and we are definitely off to the races. The stretch is real...... As in holy crap these are racing toward the ceiling. Eleven inches in a week. Looks like I'm going to be adding something to the top area to help keep things stable once the bugs really start filling in. Not my favorite trait in a plant when they run like this. Well, this is why we pheno hunt right? I'll give the clones I took early on to a friend for an outdoor grow. Darn timelapse had an issue with the camera towards the end so it got a big wonky. All reset for the next week. Thinking of moving it close to a bud to see if we can just watch one of those form.

Well, the outrageous stretch continues. At this point I'm not even sure I'll give this strain another shot. I *really* dislike the scraggly tall plants like this. Maybe for outdoors someone might take a shot on them. The plant on the right is still racing skywards and isn't showing me that is is slowing down. I'm going to have to start bending here. grrrrrrr. Oh well, I've given the clones I took early on to a buddy for his outdoor grow. Moving forward I have to really start thinking about more support up top. Thinking of nabbing a second net. I've got a few seeds of this strain left and I'm wondering if I should bother to hope for a different pheno or just move on to another strain.

Another week down and it appears that the upward stretching has finally slowed down to a crawl at this point. I probably could have done a far better job managing these plants for maximum yields given I was doing some quick and dirty pheno hunting it really wasn't needed. I am glad to see the buds are beginning to swell nicely now. The time lapse really shows it off well, even if it is a bit over-exposed. I *really* need to get some better glass in there.... This old Brino 720p camera isn't cutting it when I want nice close shots. The buds are showing some nice trichome development as well. I'm more than a little curious to see how they after another month of filling out.

Another week down and we are getting some color on the right plant. I'm not sure I've caught it on timelapse before but if you look close around the 10 second mark in the video you can start to see the purple appear on the leaves in the center a bit. It's subtle in the video but it really shows up in the pictures. I do like it when they turn colors! Aside from the color it was a fairly uneventful week. Buds are filling in a bit more, fun fun. The smell of a strong pineapple is in the air around the plant and especially when you touch it.

Well shit..... Here is a reminder for everyone out there, calibrate your pH monitoring equipment on its recommended schedule! Of all the things to forget about. Sigh. My pH has been out of whack, looks like it was far to low and I have been effectively starving the plants of phosphorus. At least is what the leaves are starting to show, a definite deficiency. It was hard to see on the right plant at first as the purple hit the spots rather well. They just started turning necrotic in places. It really jumped out on the left plant and was easier to spot. It was reading 6.1 but was more like 5.2 Lesson learned, stay on top of that pH. I think it is time to retire these old Milwaukee MC120's in favor of some newer models. I could just replace the probes and double down on the calibration but I've had these things for nearly ten years now. I think sitting in that moderately humid environment has taken its toll on the internals. They aren't exactly made well. Oh well, these won't end up looking perfectly pretty in the end I guess. Given that I already wasn't to happy with the pheno, I'm not expecting much from these plants now.

Another week down and I believe we are coming into the home stretch here. Maybe another week or two and they will get the chop. While they may not be big on weight, they are smelling super strong now. The pineapple smell is overpowering. I should hook up that carbon filter lol At least they look like they should be decent for pressing, we'll see. Not much to see really, they have swelled somewhat more. I can't see any further damage from my prior pH issue. Onward!

All in all this was a fairly easy strain to grow. I could have greatly improved my harvest if I had done some more training so if someone else is going to give this strain a try I would highly suggest more topping and training. The smell is a nice citrus scent and my early tester bud I dried gave me a really intense high. Can't wait to see what the cured version does when I press out some rosin.
