2/22: Soaked peat pellets; drained excess water; placed in tray; warmed tray using heating pad until internal pellet temp was 70-72 degrees; placed seeds in pellets and covered with 1/3” of soil; sprayed inside of plastic lid with water to increase humidity and placed lid on container; put tray in tent on blocks to keep it off of the ground; sf-1000 set at ~28” from top of pellet.
2/27: 7/7 have sprouted and 6/7 (maybe 7/7?) sprouts appear to be viable- Quality Mephisto genetics coupled with a tried and true method for germination that (according to Grow Diaries) has a high success rate but is still (somehow) relatively unpopular. Popped the dome on humidity tray. 1 strawberry nuggets is just sprouting while the other 6 beans sprouted a little faster, so I’m going to go one more day in the tray before planting the pellets in soil. I am going to use Roots Organic soil in 3.2 gallon fabric pots.
