North Atlantic Seed Company came through again with another successful germination. Soaked in water for 24 hours. Wrapped in wet paper towel for 48 until 1/4" tap root cracked through. A presoaked peat puck was used for initial planting, and within 24 hours, roots were popping through the sides.
Only given tap water that had been given time to sit out and dechlorinate. 1 liter a couple inches out from the center to promote root growth. No nutrients introduced yet. Humidity dome and T5 light from a seed sprouting setup originally used for it's lighting. Peat puck was planted into a 5 gallon fabric container of ProMix HP.
Introduced nutrients. 25% strength of base nutrients and 100% of supplements. Still in dechlorinated tap water at 1 liter per watering. At the end of the week I took two other plants from the tent, allowing me to raise this one off the floor and closer to the lights. Still using the humidity dome to avoid adding a humidifier.
The little one was not excited to be topped. I may have also overwatered earlier in the week which certainly didn't help the situation. I waited for the pot to lighten before watering again, and monitored the new growth which is looking bright green. Now just waiting for the full recovery.
Straight water this week. Giving a rest with how densely green those leaves are. The new growth looks great now that we're past the stress of topping. She's gonna be a mother plant for a round of clones before she finally gets flipped. We'll be taking our veg slow and let it last as long as necessary. most of what is on the plant right now will end up stripped at the base of the split between the two main stalks.
