Okay so I try not to touch my girls too much during flower, some is obviously inevitable but I do try not to Maul the buds, for obvious reasons. However, it is nice to gauge what the terps might be like and Lemon tree by name, lemon tree by nature.
It’s not a thin, wimpy, citrus lemon notes you get in some weed, it’s like those preserved lemons you get in North African countries only mixed with dirty, oily rags and diesel fumes. Real nice!
You know when you see the amazing photography on Barney’s farm where the buds look all pristine and the flowers actually look like little mini frosted roses or something? And your buds never come out looking like that?
Well these did. 💕
No disappointment here, just rock hard, frosty goodness.
Flushed out the medium a little because the salt build up was evident but not effecting the plant so no need really, but I did it anyway because ppm was outrageously high. Gave her just water for the last week.
Well for a free seed this was just a punt and I think I lucked out on the pheno, only looks wise compared to others I’ve seen, Lemon tree seems to have quite the variations, should’ve taken cuts of this in hindsight, but oh well.
Yielded big. The aromas are great and the buds are big and like bullets, even the lower stuff and made great lemony hash, I mean what more can you ask for?
Yeah, Lemon tree was well worth growing, even if it was just for the fact it yielded 7.5 ounces from one plant! That is a monster yield for me in a 5 gallon pot as I’m used to getting about 4-5 a plant, across a range of cultivars from seed. I was blown away by it, others who tried it didn’t seem as enthusiastic for some reason? I mean they liked it but I really thought it was something.
Growing it now. Last wks of flowering. By far the best one I've ever grown. Ya gotta train to get bigger yields because the bud structure but wow. Beautiful and the frostyness is on another level. Can't wait to grow again. Yours looks fantastic!.
