meneerGreen 6-10, Took a seed out of the fridge, this time I chose a Moby Dick, I haven't had this one before so I'm curious.
7-10, Today I placed the Moby Dick for germination using the coffee filter method.
First, let's go over the specifications of this strain,
This weed has a high THC content and a powerful effect
Mainly consists of sativa genetics
Originated from crossing very potent cannabis strains
Description
Moby Dick from our House Brand Wietzaadjes.nl is a cannabis strain that mainly contains sativa genetics. These cannabis plants were created by combining Haze x White Widow. House Brand Moby Dick Wietzaadjes.nl are suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. The seeds grow into stable cannabis plants that yield high harvests. The weed produced from these plants has a high THC content. For outdoor cultivation, these plants need a warm summer and a not too humid late summer. The effect of smoking this weed is a long-lasting and powerful high that is not suitable for inexperienced smokers. If you choose one of our House Brand feminized cannabis seeds to grow weed, you choose top quality.
Brand: House Brand
Genetics: Mainly sativa
Type: Feminized
Flowering time: 9 - 10 weeks
Harvest month outdoors: Mid-October
Yield indoors: High
Yield outdoors: High
11-10, Today I planted the seed, it had a nice little root.
Photo 1 to 5 (11-10)
13-10, The lady in waiting is above ground.
Photo 6 to 8 (13-10)
16-10, Gave water for the first time today, just a little bit and this time some spa pure because I wasn't able to prepare water, so I did it this way.
17-10, Today I topped up the soil in the pot so it's nice and full again, the lamp is hanging about 6 to 7 cm above the lady, it's a new growth lamp LED 20 watt 6500K, this gives a bit more power even though it has less wattage, at +/- 10 cm it already gives 35000 lux (for comparison, the old fluorescent at 2 cm gives 2000 lux) so with the new lamp, I have to be careful.
Gave a little bit of water a few more times the rest of the week also spa pure (pH 6.0) but starting next week she'll get demineralized water with some Root stimulator.

22-10, I finally had the time to make some pH-adjusted water, I added some root stimulator, EC 0.5 and pH 5.8 but since the pH does rise a bit, I’ll stick with the value of 6.0. I’ll measure it again next week and adjust if necessary.
Not much else to report, she’s growing nicely so that’s positive, just another week or at most 2 and then she’ll go into the bucket.
I did raise the lamp to 10 cm above the top, the lux meter shows 30000 lux.

6-11, today I prepared the soil for the bucket, so 15 liters of soil + 1 liter of pH-adjusted water that I mixed well and then filled the pot of the bucket, I placed a small pot in it the same size as the pot where the plant is so I can easily transfer them.
7-11, today I transferred the lady to the bucket, added half a liter of pH-adjusted water because the moisture meter was already close to the red.
I hung the lamp at 45 cm at the start, which gave 16,000 lux, not too much but it allows her to get used to the new light/lamp, the lady is 15 cm tall.
18-11, today I was supposed to measure the temperature and RH for the first time in the bucket, but it turned out to be malfunctioning, so I put a new one in as a backup until I replace it in the bucket, it's the same meter but it's positioned higher in the bucket.
9-11, today I topped the lady, and I won't need to give her any more water for the rest of the week.

This week I removed some leaves and tied down a few shoots, it’s not growing super fast but I didn’t expect that with these low temperatures, but it is growing, it just takes a bit longer. The highest recorded temperature this week was 20.5, I always note the average temperature and that came out to 19.9 as you can see.
She’s still not getting any nutrients, I think I’ll start carefully adding some from this coming Thursday to prevent any deficiencies (in nutrients), I did this in the previous round as well and it worked out great for me.

This week I removed some leaves again and secured a few shoots. Due to the somewhat low temperature, it's not growing too fast, but I did switch the timer to 12/12 on 1-12. The rack is almost half full, and I don't want to run into problems; I'd rather have a little too little than a jungle.

This week I removed a few leaves and tied down some shoots, also removed a few shoots, other than that it was a calm week and everything is going smoothly.
I also slightly increased the EC this week, the soil is pretty depleted I think, so I'm going to feed cautiously. She gets nutrients (Powderfeeding longflowering from Greenhouse feeding) with each watering, so I'll keep an eye on the color of the leaves.

EC: 1.2 to 1.3

This week I pruned quite a bit of leaf and secured some shoots, also removed a few small shoots again, it looks like the rack is going to fill up nicely.
Other than that, not much to do this week besides watering, of course. I spotted the first flowering hairs, not very visible yet, but still, it's the 2nd week of 12/12 so it's about time. Normally I would start counting the flowering weeks now, but since things are moving a bit slower (due to lower temperatures), the last few little ones are taking about 3 weeks or nearly 3 weeks before the flowering is really established, so I expect to start counting the flowering weeks next week.

Lamp height 23 cm, lux 33000, removed quite a bit of leaf this week (24-12) also gave kali water glass today instead of nutrients to see if that gives a better result at the end of the grow, I’ll do that every two weeks, it does give a higher EC (3.5) but that’s only once every two weeks, I’m keeping my EC at the lower limit anyway so I think that won’t cause too many problems, time will tell.
Next week I’m going to start with the PK addition and I’ll also give a little bit of Calmag 0.3 ml per liter or 0.2 per half liter to prevent any issues regarding that, I’ve been doing this for a few grows and it’s working well, in week 3 to 4 of flowering I’ll give 0.5 ml per liter and 0.3 per half liter until week 6 of flowering and then I’ll stop both the PK and the Calmag.

No complaints about the bucket grow so far, they are growing nicely and the flowering is going well, so this week I started with the PK booster, slowly around +/- 3 to 1 (+/- 3 parts nutrients to 1 part PK).
Further, not much to do, removed a leaf here and there but that's about it.

The EC of 0.6 is because I'm giving Calmag (0.2 ml per 0.5 liters of water), even when I'm just giving pH'd water; normally the EC of the tap water here is 0.4.
Also removed quite a bit of leaf once; I'll see if it's necessary to do it again, otherwise this will be the last time.
As for this lady, it's been a chill week.

The EC was highest at the beginning of this week because I added Kali Waterglass, which gives a higher EC according to the schedule. The rest of the week, she had nutrients two more times, the last time with an EC of 1.4. I'm going to give a bit less nutrients next week because I'm noticing some burnt tips here and there, and the leaves are quite dark in color, so just a bit less nutrients, meaning next week an EC of 1.2 to 1.3, and probably nothing the week after because that’s either the last week or the second to last week, so I'll keep an eye on that.

4-2, I hung the lamp 20 cm from the tops, it was 15 cm before, the buds were getting a bit light on top and it might be that the lamp is hanging a bit too low for this strain, usually I have it hanging at 15 cm and didn't have this specific problem, so that's why.
I also have some burnt tips, so starting from 5-2 I stopped giving her nutrients, only some Silica power (0.2 ml per liter) and I've also stopped with the Calmag, I was still giving 0.2 ml with each watering whether it was 0.5 liters or 1 liter.
Starting next week, I’m stopping everything and she'll only get pH'd water, as I expect this to be the last week for this lady. I've already spotted some amber but I'll give her one more extra week, and if it's still not what I want, then I'll give her another one.

Her successor is already growing and can basically go into the bucket, so as soon as the bucket is empty, I'll clean it, disinfect it, and fill it up again.
Een mooi soortje, jammer dat ik maar 1 zaadje van deze had, ik ga haar zeker nog eens zetten in de toekomst.👍

24-2, today I harvested the lady, the buds weighed wet 272 grams and the trimming waste 62 grams, now it's just waiting for it to dry, it won't be a top score but I expect to come in above a gram per watt anyway.
I've also calculated the average use of the lamp and it's 43 watts.
