GrowBeforeHoe I think I'm lucky because I can't see any damage on the plant. Hopefully it's stay as easy as it's now.
You can comment if you see any mistakes which I made bc its my first grow :).
Keep Growing
Do you have any recommendable tips against bud rot because I'm afraid to see all my buds moldy . All the rain which might be starting in September and October are one of my biggest issues.
Thanks in advance!
The only working tip is building a roof (transparent)so that the rain dont reaches the flowers. thats the only practicable thing. before flowering rhe rain doe not do any harm. and yes its strain related . the denser the plant grows the higher is the risk of moldering. Most time i have to harvest 4 weeks before the end of dlower because of the rain that takes days. The only thing that helped me buiding a roof against direct rain. happy growing
GrowBeforeHoe The Royal Cheese Automatic stop growing the branches on top only the two lowest branches grow even further... So I bend her down so that the low branches can get the new tops... Hope this will work.
All the other plants doing good and growing along nicely!

GrowBeforeHoe This week the weather was horrible!
Storm, rain, cold temperatures :/
But they survived all and look quite nice!
The only issue I had to deal with was that the Lemon Haze laying on the side for a few days and I had to pull her up in the right position again but now everything seems to be fixed.
And the best the storm is over!
Keep growing 👍
Nice enjoyable buds. I'm happy with the result.
Keep growing!

GrowBeforeHoe It was a pretty fast flowering strain... It was resistent against hot and cold weather. I can recommend this strain If you want some quick smoke.

It was a seed which a friend have to me so the genetic wasn't as powerful as all the highend from the real seed banks. Bitte she produced a good amount of nugs which smells delicious.
I'm happy with the grow and the performance of this lady!

GrowBeforeHoe I'm happy with the results and will grow the strain next year again because I have some seeds left in my stash. :)
I think the taste and smell was more berry than lemon...

basically bud rot is "strain-dependent", some are better against some diseases some are better at other diseases. you're trying to keep the sun and the air in contact with the bud which is a good way for the environment to help the plant fight the rot. So defoliation is a yes, air circulation is a yes, keeping the buds not so humid is a yes. Basically, you make the buds a house to live in at night if you're brave and have the time. (no need for walls just a roof. otherwise you can try to take care of them, but be careful because if they are hurt they will actually be more vulnerable. anyway man, good luck - strong start !
@BarrieGrower,
Seems like a good idea those crystals can help, but I think you have to check and water your plants ones a week so your soil don't dry out. The microbes which live in the soil needs water to survive. They are micro organism which provide important nutrients/organic matter to your plant. The microbes consume the bacteria which lives in your soil and has this organic matter trapped inside them. The organic matter gets converted into mineral form and excreted by the microbes and now your plant can use these nutrients.
So preventing your soil from drying out is very important!
