I Began these august 2nd 2023 so at this point they are 18 days old except for the Gelat OG. The first Gelat OG seed which put out a tap root fine but stalled at that stage so I sprouted another so it's a little over a week younger.
Nice growth this week. Had to trim of 2 leaves of both the Blue monster and the White Widow due to some bfungus. I'm going to start feeding silica this week so the in a few weeks that won't be a concern.
Topped them all this week. Gave the Gelat OG a few more days to grow out that last node. The White widow barely noticed she'd been topped and it's 2 new mains are 2 inches tall. The Blue Monster grew 2 new mains as well but surprised me by also sprouting some new mains from the cut site as if I'd fimed it rather than top. Its to early to tell how many new mains it will sprout. The GG#4 is growing the the same rate as the monster but with 2 normal new mains. I've been treating them twice a week since week 3 with a foliar spray of water, silica gold and fulvic acid. The results speak for themselves. The leaves are all rough and leathery and the growth has been accelerated. The silica makes the leaves inedible for many insects and immune to fungus spores. So far there's been no more fungus issues at all and the bus that gotten in there week 2 haven't touched them since a few days after I started using this. I've also mixed the silica into the waterings as it helps the plant absorb and retain water and crowds out any heavy metals.
Not feeding them this week other than silica in soil and sprayed at night a few times a week. The stems are super thick. The fan leaf stems are a thick as a pencil. They've started to smell like strong mint. They're doing so well I topped them again today at the end of week 6. I will start scrogging them in a few days.
Started the Scrog the day after my last post and they took to it like a fish to water. Still on a heavy silica and Fulvic acid regimen and they are loving it. The fan leaves are hard to pinch off at this point but some of them were getting so large they were blocking 70% of the light from hitting the rest of the plant. Might not have needed to give them the TPS One Part this week but it's okay. They have a small amount of nutrient burn going on now but as long as I don't make it worse they'll be fine. The Blue Monster seems to be having a little more trouble with the last topping compared to the others but she's on her way now. Not much else to report.
Defoliated the top most fan leaves and bottom most fan leaves in order to get more light to the future bud sites and get rid of fan leaves that have no chance of ever seeing light again. I'm going to add some fish emulsion tonight to tonights watering of the White Widow and the Blue Monster. The Blue Monster probably doesn't need it but the White Widow is looking a little nitrogen deficient.
They're all showing some signs of nitrogen deficiency so they first got fed some fish emulsion and then a couple days they got fed the TPS One. Thankfully they're looking a lot darker. The White widow was getting severely pale there for a few days. I've still had to defoliate to give since light to the lower bud sites. I think I'm going to have to raise the Scrog net up a bit in the next few days. Probably in for some more pruning those next week.
Had to move the Scrog net today as they are about 13 inches taller than when I first installed at and with the growth rates (especially the white widow) it's starting to not look at like a canopy anymore. I'll add a photo tonight after the branches right themselves as much as they can.
Lots of defoliating this week. Striping off branches that will never make it to the light and top fan leaves blocking the colas that will. The White widow is still the fastest grower followed closely by the Gelat OG. The Blue monster is the hardiest plant I've ever gown and and those blue tinted leaves make me look forward to the buds that I hope show the same blue tint. I will probably them flip to flower in the next week or 2. If I let them go too much longer they'll run out of room in the flower stretch. I mixed myself a silica and fulvic acid foliar spray PH adjusted to 6.5 but I added too much silica so it left a silica film the looks like white blotches.
End of the first week of flower and they've finally started smelling a bit like skunk. The Gelat OG (back right) has stretched quite a bit since being flipped and is now the tallest plant.
Buds are developing nicely. Not much to say this early into flower. I kept getting little gnats in the tent so I got some sevin dust and dusted the bottom of the tent, the soil, the sides of the fabric bags, and the walls below the canopy. Haven't seen them since.
Some of the sugar leaves are starting to show some frost and the Blue monster has really started to put off a citrus skunk smell. The rest are starting to smell but nowhere near as much as the Blue monster. I'm pretty sure the Gelat OG is finally done with it's stretch which is good as it was really getting a little too close to the light for comfort. The White Widow is still very shaggy despite the newr constant defoliating I've been doing. I went through and did some hardcore pruning of the GG#4 and Gelat OG three days into this week and got rid of any branches that either won't ever reach the light or despite having been in the light failed to produce any buds. Happy growing everyone
Not Much to say. Buds are getting bigger and bigger. That white widow is absolutely covered in bud. The Gelat OG is pretty covered as well but after that last stretch, the intermodal spacing is nowhere near as close as it is with the white widow. The blue monster while being a short plant has quite a bit of bud on it. The GG#4 is not the best producer I've ever seen but I have high hopes for the quality of the buds.
The smell has really taken off. You can smell my plants a few hundred yards away from my house. Driving to my house today, I thought the car in front of me was driving with pounds of cannabis in their car; nope it was my house. They're all stacking very well. The White widow(front right) is the heaviest producing but very little terpene aroma. It has a vague chocolate smell and that's about it. The Blue Monster (Front Right) smell like a slightly funky fruit, sweet and pungent. The GG#4(Back left) smells sweet and fruity. The Gelat OG(back right) has a sweet smell that I can't really describe yet but I will update as it evolves over time.
I found 3 spots of bud rot on the Blue Monster. I'm heart broken. The trichomes are looking almost completely cloudy already so if I get anymore bud rot I'm going to harvest her. I haven't found any bud rot anywhere else thankfully. I have some crop control coming in a few days but I think I'll pick up something in the meantime.
She's a super heavy producer but this strain has a tendency towards fasciation. It's a neat mutations but not great for production. Overall I'm very happy with how this plant turned out.
Extremely dense buds with great production. I did have a problem with this one and bud rot but the juice is definitely worth the squeeze. I recommend a maintenance regimen ofbug killer/fungicide once or twice a week.
Buds are medium in size and the internodal distance was a little longer than I would have liked but the quality of the high is excellent so I'm happy with it.
