Experimenting with a rooted clone, monstercropped from my first grow ever, that failed. This was taken from a 10 month old re-vegged plant that was nutrient burned, light burned, over and underwatered. Also soil was a mix of peat, coco and perlite, and organic + synthetic nutrients. A MESS! Let's see what happens with this one, going just synthetic in coco this time. Also using cheap nutrients.

Weird color. Not sure if it was overfed nitrogen or because there were worm castings in this pot. DLI 17.

Such a weird structure! But nice nonetheless. Didn't really want to pluck so many leaves and bud sites out but they need to be spread out. Plants seem very happy with the new environment care and now feeding early morning as well.

Entering week 10. I'll flip to flower and defo once I have buds on my autos no matter what size it is. She definitely has nutrient deficiencies but I can't say if it's my fertigation frequency, if my coco was unbuffered or the container size. I'll keep going as is. 24/03: added kelp meal, microbes, molasses, humic acid and silica. some leaves could be suffering from wind stress so I dialed down the fan in the tent and switched position. Went from 1.7 to 1.55 EC in nutrient concentration. 25/03: transplanted this girl into a fabric 2gal pot and brand new buffered coco as an experiment. I suspect the year-old, unbuffered coir is at play here, causing issues. it was canna professional plus, but it was old, so who knows? 27/03: plant is out of the tent, into a sauna, to recover from transplant.

29/03: Realized I applied too little mycorrhizae early on and now she doesn't has a poor root system. Oh well it is what it is, I won't keep her out of the tent anymore, she was in jail for almost 3 days. She will develop roots as she grows. *shrug* Also PH pen arrives today and I'm going up to 6.0PH. She should be good in a week. 31/03: The solution I've been feeding wasn't really dissolving properly, now I've been warming the water and also using more micronutrients and a bit more magnesium. Excited to see if this one is gonna be all green. It looks better already! 01/04: Flushed and lowered EC. 02/04: She's looking good, apart from the water drop burns... They are so close to the coco it's annoying. I'll give her a magnesium spray. 04/04: I'll just let her bush out now. Kelp tea foliar spray and feed tomorrow.

She is progressing nicely, went from Mg deficiency to maybe a little toxicity. Backing off on the foliar spray and will keep observing. Might lower EC to 0.8.

meh, still figuring out the problem with my tent. seems like now it's some sort of wind burn (some other plants with other nutrients have same leaf pattern (you can actually see it in the picture). some spots in healthy leaves due to water drops as well. 🤷 not too worried as I think I solved my main chlorosis problem. it was light burn! crazy to get light burn when your light is more than 23 inches away. it happened! let's see in the next few days if moving the fan around solves this problem. I'm just excited to get some healthy buds on this one, since the mother plan failed completely. I also fucked up with this plant so many times! just happy to complete this cycle at this point. my next grow is already happening and it's going amazingly with the things I learned from this one :D

Throughout my 2 grows I have had this chlorosis problem. The leaves slowly start to turn yellow, like some sort of bleaching. Lowering EC seemed to help. Toning down the light seemed to help, now I'm checking if it's a wind issue. You can check the other diaries too! Thank you!

@Ctrellis yeah, I'm feeding it but not a lot. I posted a breakdown in grams here. https://ibb.co/nDN35Sw I'm using a blue lab PH pen. It shouldn't be the nutrients.. Because the other plants that are using Advanced Nutrients have the same problems! It's driving me mad.

@gottagrowsometime, if you read this, I have done foliar spray of epsom salts a few times on this plant as I thought it was mag def at first, but it seemed to make it worse and caused a mag toxicity.. or was that dark shade of leaf its normal color? it seemed sick to me. it was around week end of week 11 to 12 to to beginning of 13.

The easiest way to fix major deficiencies like this ons it by flushing the soil once with 2 times the pot volume in water with the right pH and a small amount of nutrients. After you have done this let the soil dry out for 2-3 days and than you can continue watering like you did before but with less nutrients, the right NPK ratio for every phase of the grow and the right pH. And occasionally water till runoff to get rid of the build up salts inside the soil to prevent issues like nutrient lockout.
