She really started to stretch after 3 days under the light, so I moved her outside. The weather has still been less than cooperative but she's doing Okay so far.
I have easy access to Fox Farm products and have had pretty good results with them over the past few years. I don't go heavy on the nutes or follow any kind of schedule. Just watch what the plants are doing and react accordingly.
She seems to be adjusting well to being outside. We had some pretty strong winds yesterday and she's no worse for wear. Looks to be coming along nicely.
She's really starting to get going. The weather is getting warmer and a few days are supposed to be close to 100 degrees this week. I hit her with some microbe brew and big bloom this week.
She really seemed to enjoy the hot weather we had this week and is coming along nicely. Growth has been very symmetrical without any funky leaves or anything.
Not much to say about this week. It was another warm week and she's still chugging along. Starting to smell a little bit. We've still got a long way to go
This one added about 6" this week and is starting to smell a little bit. It's supposed to get really hot in the coming days so we'll see how she reacts to that.
Still coming along nicely after another week. She got beat up by the wind again but seems no worse for wear. Trimmed off some of the larger fan leaves to let the sunlight through and reduce water loss.
Still chugging along. She's close to 3 feet tall at this point which is about as big as I expected. Still got a long way to go so I hope she doesn't get root bound in this pot.
After 2 months she's now about 3 feet tall. I gave her a little bit of a trim again today to remove some of the undergrowth and thin it out. Still got a long way to go but she's coming along nicely. It hasn't really been as hot as it could be.
She's still going strong. Getting close to 4 feet tall now and no signs of slowing down. I trimmed up a lot of the lower stuff this week. She has a nice skunky small to her even though there aren't any flowers forming yet.
This is my only plant left after this week. The Moby Dick is drying and I gave up on the other one. The weather is getting really hot and she is definitely showing it. I'm going to have to really ramp up the watering and feeding to get her through.
I was out of town for a few days and she didn't get watered. Not looking good right now, but I think she will pull through. I will chalk this up to hydro training I guess, but this is how rough the desert climate can be on plants. I'm lucky it wasn't as hot as it could have been or she'd probably be toast.
Afghani is one of my all-time favorites and this is the ILGM version. Pretty excited to see how things turn out. She'll need to be very resilient to make it through the summer.
Nice solid steady growth the past few weeks. Turning out to be a lovely outdoor. You think you'll veg for the whole cycle outdoors or do you trigger your own flowering?
@gottagrowsometime, we're in it for the long haul. I'm thinking harvest time for her will be some time mid to late October. Summer is pretty rough on plants out here, which is why I've started using a lot of auto's the past few years but I didn't want altered genetics for the Afghan. I can start another run of auto's in September.
