Topped both plants moment's ago, attempted Deep Water Culture couple months back but ran into some issues and I had very little knowledge at the time to solve or troubleshoot the problems I was having so i scrapped them due to needing more space.... so here I am. 2nd Crack at this. Ultimately I am trying to have everything go full hydro in the future with all my setups and tents. I do not or hVe not yet purchased or needed a chiller and the pales do get warm so I will need to do some insulating I'm sure, but in the mean time I picked up some hydroguard. 100$ cdn for a 1L bottle so I sure hope it helps with res Temps and stress etc. I have heard and read nothing but great things about this product so fingers crossed. Both plants had a top drip system to help establish a good root base but was removed recently once I seen roots out of the net pot. At this point I'm just going to keep a close eye and try and read the plant regularly so nothing gets over looked. Wish me luck !!! & of course if there is anyone who has any helpful tips or advice please don't hesitate to leave a comment Happy growing donkey smell

Everything was on the up & up at the beginning of the week, until both units started to show signs of K deficiency. I caught it immediately. And I am not surprised as I was using up the last of my Gen H food micro and grow without bloom as I ran out and was waiting for my emerald harvest 3 part to arrive in the mail which it did mid week. So I changed out the rest with emerald harvest 3 part and a couple other products from canna and hydroguard. The next day the plants were not looking as happy or as perky as I would've hoped so I took a look in the res and noticed some gross sludge type shit growing around my roots at water level and in the bottom of the buckets resting on the bottom. I immediately washed out and changed both reservoirs and I came to the conclusion it was the RAW NPK silica powder I applied to both buckets. Not sure if I did it wrong or added to much but luckily I caught it before any real issues occurred. After this I just put in emerald harvest 3 part with a splash of cal mag and some hydroguard. That was yesterday morning and everything seems to be bouncing back just fine. I am adjusting the ph almost daily to keep it around 5.8. The roots were growing well until these deficiency occurred and then the silica powder incident so I am hopeful this week they will continue on an upward path. I am determined to see these through to the end as I just ultimately really want to learn hydroponics with some minor success. Thanks for stopping by catch ya next week! Donkey smell

#1 is doing fine or at least it appears or I think. #2 has given me nothing but problems. I am on my 2nd res change this week for her as she had some funk going on with the bottom of her roots in the pale. She seems hungry and foods there with ph at 5.8 but she doesn't seem to want to take any of it up. She's growing but very very slowly. Her roots compared to #1 are a God damn joke and I'm just not sure what more I can do for her due to the fact I am new to hydroponics and dwc and I am not very knowledgeable in hydro problems or problem solving. I'm very keen to learn and that's why i am giving this a try to begin with. I washed the bucket, airstones net pot and roots with a light h202 mist in a spray bottle and a scrub for the materials. I then added fresh water 10L. Added my calmag then my EH trio. After that I applied 20ml of cannazym to help with the fucking war zone root mass that is nearly non existent on #2. After that I added 6ml of hydroguard to help with my roots as well as combat any unwanted stress/heat issues. I plan to Stay ontop of the ph @ or around 5.8 and just let her be. Fingers crossed that something picks up both above the netpot and underneath the net pot. If it doesn't I will just focus all my time on my other tents and #1. I took this on as a learning experience so I'm not stressed about it and I'm certainly not mad about it. I'll be happy if I could just see one of these until the end. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE OR INPUT , HELPFUL OR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM I WELCOME IT ALL. I JUST WANT TO GET THIS RIGHT AND DRIVE ER ON HOME. until next week , Donkey smell ✌️

I'd have to say this week was better then the last. In the past I have tried dwc once or twice , never left the veg state though. As soon as the plant would start going sideways I just threw it out. This time I kept both and worked through any issues. The plant on the left has done well its whole life where as the plant on the right has struggled its entire life until just recently. Until about 3 days ago there was only a coupl3 of roots coming out of the net pot and they were all brown and the tips were slimy so i literally snipped 2 inches off the bottom of the roots and misted the roots with h202. She's on the mend now and seems to be doing much better, putting on some decent root mass now in the bucket as well. Today marks day 8 of flower and I added another moby dick I had I'm a 3gal fabric pot as well to the mix. I have the 3 plants in the tent all moby dick and I added a trellis to try some Scrog for the first time ever. So well see how that works out for me. Hopefully both plants just stay on the up and up from here on out.
