Week 3 still going well. I have seaweed extract that I use on my balcony plants and decided to give it 1/4 of the recommended dose and see how it would do.
This was an eventful week in that one mistake (too much seaweed emulsion) worked out and another (weird tie-downs) would bite me in the ass later.
I've been paranoid about overwatering, since that was my biggest issue in my first grow. I only gave it 500 ml but wasn't paying attention (smoking while mixing) and added 1L worth of seaweed emulsion. Fast Buds described this strain as liking heavy feeding so I decided to risk it and she took the dose well and exploded, so thank goodness for that.
I've been hit or miss with LST. I've started it later than I should on every plant because I'm always scared of stressing autos. This time (again I was smoking a strong sativa) I wondered what would happen if I just tied down side branches and not the main stem. Don't judge me y'all. Well, you can, just don't be mean. LOL!
All good this week. Work has kicked my butt so I didn't take as many photos. Also, the smell is getting strong so I'm going to try to stay out of the tent as much as possible.
I've been struggling with keeping the temperature down and had to move the tent from my closet to near a window. It's the middle of a Dutch winter so just having it against the window worked like a charm but I prefer keeping it in my closet so I'll have to figure something else out for the next grow.
Work has been absolutely crazy and that is the only photo I took before I quickly fed. I'll try to do better next week. But all is well. The main cola is coming is super strong thanks to my dumb idea about LST. The side branches are fine as well, but I should have bent down the main stem as well.
1. This was another hectic work week so only a few trichome shots. I wanted to get better at these because I've struggled to tell when it's time to wrap up a grow, so please, more experienced growers tell me what you think.
2. My cat is a pot head. I had it and another plant out to take pictures and he bit an entire stem off and ate one of the buds. This may be my fault because I let him take an nibble on a sugar leaf while doing some light defoliating on another one. I just had to cut that branch off so it'll look at little weird when I do have time to take some more photos. 😂
Welp, my grey cat ripped another bud off. Yes, this is totally my fault for not paying attention. I've decided to go ahead and start flushing her. What buds survived the vicious cat attack still look good.
