All went well during germination this was transferring from paper towel to soil... I know, I know red solo cups are awful but they work short term if you don't overwater
Everything going smooth I started adding nutrients because the lower leaves were showing signs of starving (yellowing some) and it seemed like a good time. Once the nutrients hit they bushed out and up. Soon Lst and possible trimming will be needed. I'm unsure which ones will go outdoors and which will stay in as mothers. I have a few more weeks before weather will be good for outdoors front to back black jack (bjx2)blackberry moonrocks (bbmx2) godfather og (gfx4)
Had to transplant 4 of them into bigger containers. Other 4 will need transplanting this week. Kind of at a bad spot at the moment. My indoor grow space Had some heater issue so I made I temp room in my office. Not ideal but will work until I can get heat fixed. Supposed to start warming up this week, nights have been below freezing so I don't dare chance it with their current size
Sorry I missed a week, work had me in all directions. Everything going smooth transplanted about 8 days ago inton3 gallon containers sometime this week I will make the final transplant to 10 gallon and move out side with in the next 4 weeks. 2 of these were chosen for some clones (they are tied down to allow them to fill out for now)
Normal week, had 2 nights temp dropped down around 38f. Caused them to slow on growing a little. Always tricky this time of year night Temps near freezing, day Temps high 80s. Will start backing light hours off 1 hour per day to align with the solar cycle currently 13/14 hours won't put outside until close to 15
Defoliated most of the fan leaves today along with some lst to the lower branches to allow light to the interior bud sites. I added 2 lights this year and it has caused them to be more bushy than usual. I usually like a little more height than I currently have. Supposed to be rainy and cold this week so I will hold off on the final transplant to outdoors. With around 15 weeks or so of vegetation left I have plenty of time to let them get much larger.
Made a field trip to the outdoors in existing planters to start introducing natural sunlight, didn't want to burn them up with too much too start. with in the first 2 days I noticed them shooting upwards. Unfortunately the last few days I have had freeze warning at night so back inside they went. Soon the will be in the ground for the season. Clones are doing good might put a few on 12/12 in a few more weeks let them flower. Last year's harvest is getting smaller and smaller lmao
Started transplanting to their final resting place. Alot of work to go but it was raining most of the weekend so I didn't get as much done as I wanted. The 2 in wooden planters got a heavy watering today tommorow I will check ph and soil wetness. Underneath the wood planter is around 6 inches of rock to help with drainage
Was out of town so I haven't done too much in the last week. Ones on the wooden planters are filling out nicely. Calling for 0 rain iver the next week so I will be hitting them with the hose in the evenings as needed
Smooth sailing have been seeing some slugs and catapillars here and there removing them as I find them will be
be getting sone neem oil this week thought i had some from last season but apparently not enough. Clones went to flowering. My own fault, I had them on 18/6 didn't follow the same lighting reduction prior to moving outside as the mothers.
I used all the same methods on all...
The blackberry moonrocks and blackjack took the transfer from indoors to outdoors well, the godfather went straight to flower. Lighting schedule was reduced from 18/6 to 14/10 gradually over a period of about 5 weeks to match the outdoor sunlight for my area. Around mid may they were moved outdoors together and lighting continued to increase (June 21st longest day) I have since moved 2 godfather back indoors to continue the flowering (1 I'm pretty sure I broke) remaining I have left outside to see if they continue flower or go back to veg. The clones I screwed up, they were on 24 lighting to root and I moved them outside not even thinking about lighting difference. Lst and defoliage on lower dead leaves as needed but mainly just letting grow. I may clone the clones that are re-veg just to see the results lmao
Noticed some pre-flowering starting this week on all 3 strains. Largest is around 6 feet tall 5 feet diameter. Smallest is 5 feet tall 4 feet diameter. The Godfather strain seems to be getting attacked hard this week by cucumber beetles? I added a picture of the bug I keep seeing. I'm open to suggestions, I have tried neem oil and DE powder with no luck. It has rained alot this week so i havent added much nutrients they are water logged. But some of the bottom branches areshowing signs of yellowing leaves defoliating as needed. I mixed some heavy nutrients and added tonight right before another rain storm passes through. The one in full flower is blackjack it is indoors under 12/12.
Had some signs of a deficiency starting checked ph and it was low (5.2) corrected ph and seems to be correcting, most of the stalks are getting stronger to support weight. Few added pictures of the clones that were in flower when the were cloned. I dont think the will get real big but bushy for sure. They look really weird with the way the leaves formed.
Ended up with around 3 oz from the plant that started flowering when it went outside.
Gliding through all seems well. been really rainy this week so no water added. All but 2 are showing signs of flowering. Moved a few more of the revenge ones back indoors running them on 12/12 dropping temp to 60f at night. They're looking close to full maturity maybe another week or 2
On of the godfather starting getting some rot so it's currently curing.wish I could have let it go longer was just a little premature, but didn't want tonrisk losing whole plant to rot. It flowered once I put it outside. Getting some yellowing fan leaves towards bottom of the rest due to old age. All is going good.
Just letting them flower, one of the photos looks like it will be ready soon (gf) the clones also. Rest have a 4 weeks or more.
Over all I think mixing fox farm and my native soil hindered me some. Last few pics are the next generation of monster crop clones, they will be harvested around Christmas time.
On a side note, I made some worm towers
Next year i will be adding my own worm castings
1 godfather seed harvested, currently drying will post total weight once dried and cured. It was rmatire could tell by looking at the trichomes and pistils.
Rest are maturing nicely at about the same pace. Most of the fan/sun leaves have yellowed and fallen off all.
Godfather seemed to be faster flowering to maturity than the other 2 strains.
Preliminary report from a few friends on the harvested clones...all 3 strains kick ass, none are for novice smokers. High thc for sure!! as a smoker/grower myself for 25 years or so, I'm pretty impressed
Godfather= going to sleep
Blackberry moonrocks= philosophical, euphoric,happy(we were contemplating dietys that smoke session)
Blackjack= takes me back to the Jack Herer days with a better taste. Definitely a creeper weed, setting on couch thinking it's not strong and blam it hits you like the kool-aid man jumping out of the wall
Godfather og was a bit tricky, this is not a typical strain I grow.both of them were kinda picky I had to watch ph pretty close. Both I had to fight aphids off of,being ourdoors. Both immediately went to flower when moved from indoor to outdoor. Overall not for a beginner learning to hrow. 1st plant showed signs of rot so I harvested early (350 grams) second went full term around 620 grams. It's potency is up there with the best of them as advertised lol
I dont know how or why it says it 100% sativa this is a hybrid for sure. 60/40
The weather has been brutal, last 2 weeks has been humid off and on rainy and I need a few more weeks for both strains. Most of the fan/sun leaves have been removed or turned yellow and been pulled. the blackberry moonrocks is turning that dark reddish purple on leaves now. Both are plastered with tricomes and pistils just need to fill out some more
@Irishmike, you had such a good Idea I've done the same with mine. Going to see how they do over the compost (Its pretty hot with nutrient) You've got some nice sized planters. They honestly look really good in there shame we can't grow them in the flowerbed for the neighborhood like we do roses. cheers.
@WatercanWampa,
Yes and no lol, I'm working on building wooden planters 2 feet x 2 feet X 18 inches tall, filled with a potting mix. I will till the dirt under them and hope they root deeper.
