This girl is starting life in my first ever tent. 50cm x 50cm x 1m.
50 litre of compost and 10 litre perlite.
Started in her final pot.
4 days in a peat plug before she broke ground.
Plan is to veg in here, then transfer to the bigger tent for flower when the space is available (approximately 7 - 8 weeks time) .
Top dressed with fish tank gravel.
Small tub over the top for now to increase humidity.
Temp and humidity won't be monitored during this veg period. I don't have the space for temp and humidity control in this area. All will be done by feel.
She seems to have finally settled in to her substrate. I think the slow growth is down to the compost I've used (not seedling compost).
This week I've removed any immature leaves and branches that started from immature leaves. I don't think I'll do anything else to this girl until she's in the big tent.
Anyway. I've decided to go organic on this round. I've chucked some worms in the pot from the compost bin. I will add ammendments as need.
Growth rate has picked up this week.
She's been trimmed using a Stanley blade. Trained using a bamboo frame, and some hooks made from gardening wire.
I slide the hooks along the frame as she grows.
I'm going to carry on topping and training her in this way until the other tent is free.
The growth rate is manageable for me at the moment but I think she'll really need to be in the big tent In the next few weeks.
This girl is shaped as I wanted her, now the only way is up.
All internodes are staggered in the new growth, I guess that means she's mature and ready to go flower. She'll be in here for the next week and a half before going to 12 - 12.
Not much else to say. Still very small dose of organic nutes. She's happy and healthy
Still ticking over.
No issues.
She'll be in the big tent by the time you see her next week.
I'll give her a week of veg in the big tent before flipping to 12/12
Relocated to the big tent.
I'm adding humidity to maintain @ 70rh using an ultrasonic fogger. I'm going to let her settle in for a week before flipping to 12 hr
Done some more lst to her yesterday. Only to bring the main stems out to alloe more light penetration.
She's filled the space and is progressing well.
Another week of big bud then a couple of weeks of overdrive before flush.
She's showing fantastic structure. If the density is good then I'll be over the moon.
Ticking over.
Pistils have started to go orange on some flowers. She is still throwing out pistils and doesn't seem to have started fattening just yet.
I think there will be another 2 weeks of feed before flush. That will take her to 8 weeks since the switch to 12/12.
Smell is fantastic. Very little smell unless you are moving the branches around. When you do there's a burst of orange Fanta. Lush!
I've been away this week and left nephew in charge.
Got a bit of tip burn. Don't think he was mixing the nutes well enough before watering. Given her a rinse through with 6 litres of water today.
Flowers are still pushing pistils, and I'm hoping there's another 2 weeks of pushing and fattening. I'll be dropping the nutes to half strength and reducing watering to every other day from now.
This week she totally collapsed under her own weight. Loads of supports added to keep her upright.
She's drank significantly less this week so she's in the final stage.
Started flushing today. She will have another flush Thursday and probs harvest next monday
Great first attempt at photoperiod.
Was it better than auto's 🤔. No, fast buds gorilla cookies auto gave me the best flower I've grown to date.
Photoperiod is way more forgiving than autoflower.
You really need to be on top of auto's and provide almost perfect seedling conditions and the veg cycle to prevent stress.
Photoperiod you can just wait for them to recover.
Manifolding is fun. Started another 2 photoperiod and plan to go to 32 tops on each and scrog next round.
Took me 10 hours to chop and trim before drying.
I'd definitely grow this one again.
