P.P.D & Watermelon Zkittles - Autos

DaMunchies 04/19: These autos are growing so much faster than my Doug’s Varin grow at this point. They seem perfectly healthy. I am just running distilled water through them that has been PH’ed down to 6. Autopot does only includes 4.9ft of tubing in their 2 pot kit, and that isn’t enough to get them setup in the tent the way that I want. And because they came with AquaValve5, they required a less common size. I check 4 local grow shops, no one keeps them in the store. So I have some extra on order from autopot. Once it arrives these plants should be ready to hook up to the water. Looking forward to that.

DaMunchies 04/26: Both plants are growing very fast. The PPD seems to be a bigger plant than the Watermelon Zkittles, but they are on very similar stages to each other. I now have the autopots hooked up to water. And so far I like them a lot. Today I topped both plants at the 5th node.

DaMunchies 05/03: Wow, the PPD just blew up this last week. I’ve never had any of my plants change so much just in a week. I topped them last week. And I also tied down the Watermellon Zkittles. I want to see how they both do with slightly different training. The autopots are working fine, but I the FoxFarm stack may not be the best. It is definitely slowly clogging the system. I’ve ordered some General Hydroponics 3 part nutes. And I’m planning to switch to that as the idea of cleaning these things and the res as often as I expect I’ll need to with fox farm sounds terrible.

DaMunchies 5/10: Wow! The PPD Auto is growing soooo fast. The early flower stretch is real! It has grown nearly 2in each day for the last week and is nearly 22in tall already. It is also growing new nodes a little unevenly. The WZ auto is also growing fast, but because I’ve tied it down, height isn’t as evident. I switched from FoxFarm to the General Hydroponics 3 part. It feeds though the autopots significantly better. And the plants are loving it.

DaMunchies 05/17: I am loving this PPD plant. It just wants to grow, and fast. I am not a fan of the WZ so far. It seems very stringy and weak compared to the PPD. But I guess I will just see how it matures. I defoliated both plants again.

DaMunchies 05/24 Now that my 4x4 has been freed up, I moved the seedlings form my other grow out of this tent and have opened up a bit more room for these. The watermelon zkittles is still just a stringy and probably over stretched plant. The PPD is looking great and is growing a bunch of pretty purple buds. Both plants are smelling great. The auto pots are working flawlessly.

DaMunchies 06/01: I haven’t been doing a very good job with my plants the last couple of weeks. These ladies could really use a defoliation. I will try to get it taken care of this weekend. The PPD looks great and is thriving. The watermelon zkittles seems to be dealing with a deficiency- cal or mag it seems. So far I am not a fan of the Watermelon Zkittles, and I love the PPD.

DaMunchies 06/07: I finally defoliated both plants today. The WZ needed it pretty bad. The PPD is an awesome plant all around. It is growing some thick and sticky, delicious looking purple buds. I’m super excited about this plant. The WZ I am not liking at all. I have tried this bud before and really liked it, but it is a pain to grow. I couldn’t get this thing enough light I guess cause it just won’t stop stretching. And the buds are still light and airy little things.

DaMunchies 06/14: Both Plants are starting to look wonderful. The PPD may only be 10 days out from being done, but I will be drying in the same tent and so may need to let them over do so that the WZ can mature. Last week I said that I am not liking the WZ, but it is starting to thicken up and has stopped stretching, I think. So I am liking it more. The PPD is crazy great though! Just look at all of those pretty sugar coated purple buds. Yummy!

DaMunchies 06/21: No big changes this week. They are looking yummy. I think that the next time I fill the res I will just use water for the next two weeks, as I think I’m getting close to finish now.

DaMunchies 06/29: Both are looking frosty as hell. I think im going to cut them down and start drying in about a week or so. The PPD looks amazing. The he WZ is Lilly just going to be used to make some extracts, cause the bit is just a bunch of airy larf.

DaMunchies Amazing bud! It smells, tastes, and looks amazing. I like more daytime highs for the most part. And this is more a night time strain, but it love it for the night. Will be popping more seeds of this strain for sure.

DaMunchies I won’t be planting this or any other Barney’s Farm auto flower again. It’s a shame that I bought a 10 pack of these seeds. The buds are just a bunch of airy weird growing pods. Almost as if it were trying to grow seeds. Not sure if this was just a one off issue or not, but I won’t risk having a crappy plant like this in my grow space again. It was an absolute pain to trim what I was able to, with the majority of the buds just going in an alcohol extract with the trim.
