meneerGreen 18-11, Today I took a seed out of the fridge to acclimatize, this time an Outlaw Amnesia.
Here's what they say about the strain,
Outlaw Amnesia, a top-quality old-school Haze dominant sativa. We carefully selected original Haze seeds from our 30-year-old seed bank to create this variety. Outlaw Amnesia is an 80/20 sativa/indica strain with a THC content of 15% to 20%.
It's a cross of our “Super Haze” with a very special clone of “Amnesia.” The sativa high is very powerful and kicks in quickly. The flavor is fresh, strong, and old-school Zebra-like. Outlaw grows up to 50 cm from the moment the plants are put into flowering. Outlaw is very suitable for the SCROG method.
Although it can be harvested after 9 weeks, a full flowering period of 12 weeks is recommended for the best flavor, yield, and high. It grows well in all growing mediums, and with a Hydro system, yields of up to 500g/m2 are possible. This qualifies Outlaw Amnesia as a high-yielding variety.
And here are the specifications,
Type: 80% Sativa
Genotype: Super Haze, Amnesia
Flowering time: 9 weeks
Sex: Feminized
Yield: XXL
Height indoor:
Height outdoor:
THC: 15 - 20%
Flavor: Fresh, strong, and old-school zebra-like
Effect: Very powerful high that kicks in quickly
Seed company: Dutch Passion
20-11, I placed the seed for germination using the coffee filter method, which I always use and gives me almost a 100% germination guarantee.
Photo 1 to 5 (20-11)
21-11, Today I put a rock wool plug in the water to soak it up, I hope to be able to pot/sew tomorrow.
22-11, No little root yet, it's a bit colder than usual for germination here in the house.
23-11, Today I planted/sewed a little root in the rock wool plug.
Photo 6 and 7 (23-11)
24-11, I gave a bit of water with the spray bottle, I made some new because when I checked it today (it was old water) the pH turned out to be way too low (4.5), I hope the lady doesn't suffer too much from it, luckily just once, EC is now back to 0.8 and pH 5.5.
25-11, The lady was today suddenly +/- 5 cm above the plug, so I put her under the lamp right away and on 18/6, the lamp hangs 10cm above the lady and gives 28000 lux.
Photo 8 and 9 (25-11)
26-11, I added a bit of water to the container she's in, today 2 leaves visible, that wasn't the case yesterday.
27-11, Today 4 leaves visible, 2 lobes and 2 true leaves, also the first little root out of the plug, tomorrow I'll prepare the small hydro seedling container, also put a temperature/RH meter in there.
28-11, temperature today 23.2 and RH 51, it probably gives a slightly deviating value because it's on the edge of the warming container where the lady is.
Prepared 2 liters of water for the seedling container, added 0.2 ml Silicapower, 0.5 ml Root stimulator, 0.9 ml pH-, 0.40 grams powder feeding, that gives a value of EC 0.9, pH 5.5.
Put the lady in the net pot with clay pebbles, she was quite tall so she could almost stand on the bottom, then added nutrient water to the seedling container of +/- 5 liters (old ice bucket), turned on the pump and she can start making roots, in about 3 weeks she'll go into the bucket.
I hung the lamp at 10 cm and the lux meter shows 28000 lux.
Photo 10 to 17 (28-11)
29-11, poured a bit of water from the container over the clay pebbles, the level is still high enough so I don't need to refill water anyway.
30-11, the same as 29-11.
1-12, the temperature fluctuates around 22 to 23 degrees and I actually don't think that's too bad considering the room temperature where the tents and the bucket are, it helps that there are more tents so with all the lights on, it's automatically a bit warmer.
The RH is currently between 58 and 65 which isn't too bad either, I leave the extractor off and that also helps with temperature and RH.
Furthermore, the first roots are out from under the net pot, so soon I can lower the water level and check the EC and pH.

Watering: little.
Temperature: 22.4 during the day, 20 at night (lights on, lights off) RH 65 to 53% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.1
pH: 5.9
This week I removed water from the reservoir once and let it flow back over the clay pebbles into the reservoir, added 2 x 100 ml of water.
On 3-12 she already had quite a few roots, so I'm going to lower the water level to about 0.5 cm below the net pot, giving her some air between the net pot and the nutrient water. I don't have much space in this grow box, so she'll have to manage with that this week; by the end of this week, she'll go into the tent. She's also not getting any more water over the clay pebbles.
On 4-12, today I lowered the water level to 0.5 cm below the net pot, also measured the values; the EC was 1.0 and the pH 6.1. I'm not doing anything about it for now, even though it's a bit on the high side.
The lamp was hung 10 cm above the top of the plant, which was only 7 cm tall.
On 6-12, today I added 100 ml of water and prepared a bucket with 10 liters; by the end of this week, she'll go into the tent, so I can adjust the water well in terms of EC and pH before she goes in.
On 7-12, I added another 100 ml of water and also raised the lamp slightly to 10 cm from 9 cm.
I checked the 10 liters of water; the EC was 1.1 and the pH 5.8. I'll measure again tomorrow and possibly adjust.
On 8-12, today the lady went into the tent (60 x 60 x 140), the bucket's EC was 1.1, pH 5.9. I'll measure the temperature and RH tomorrow since everything hasn't been running for 24 hours yet. I hung the lamp at 60 cm and set it to 40% of its power; tomorrow I'll see what that yields in terms of heat and RH values.
The lux value is 7700, which seems low compared to the grow LED where she was under a lux of 28000 but at a height of 10 cm from the lamp. Tomorrow I'll check the values and then make some adjustments.
But first, I'll see how she reacts to this lamp, and then every week or every few days, I'll slightly increase the wattage or lower the lamp, or both, which will happen in my case to create a bit more heat since it's quite cool in my grow room.
The lady in question is now 6 cm tall.

EC: 1.1
pH: 5.7 to 6.2
This week I adjusted the pH down a bit, it started at 6.2 and now I have it at 5.7 and I want to keep it around there.
I also lowered the lamp by 10 cm to 50 cm above the plant and it's still at 50%. I lowered it a bit just to get some extra warmth to the plant; I'll see what it does. Otherwise, I’ll increase the wattage next week to 60%. Maybe then I’ll have to raise the lamp a bit again, but I'll figure that out later.
I also found out that I had the wrong marker for watering, so instead of 10 liters, there was actually 11 liters in there. Not really a disaster, but then the water level was almost touching the net pot and I don’t want that. In the meantime, the water level has recovered reasonably well, so I had to give little water last week and the first days of the upcoming week will also be nothing or very little.

The pH is still not quite to my liking, it fluctuates a bit too much and I also find it a bit on the high side now, the last few days it was above 6.0 and I prefer it a bit lower at this stage of growth, around 5.8 to 5.9.
On 18-12 I topped the lady and removed some large leaves, she is now 15 cm tall. Next week I'll measure the lamp height and the lux value again, I think I'll also increase the lamp wattage a bit to 60% (currently 50%). I'll keep the lamp height at 50 cm for now, so if it ends up being lower, the lamp will go up a bit.

24-12, Placed a little SCROG net.
27-12, Removed some leaves and shoots under the net.
Other than that, everything is going smoothly, I'm increasing the EC and you can tell she's eating more, I'm taking it easy and only raising the EC if it drops with the nutrients she's getting now, because I still have the feeling that EC and pH values react a bit to each other, so a higher EC gives lower pH values, at least that's the idea I have after turning a few tiles on hydro (DWC).

Temperature: 23.6 to 19.2 (lights on, lights off) RH 61 to 44% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.2
pH: 5.1 to 5.9
The pH isn't quite where I want it, but I can keep it reasonably between 5.5 and 5.9, although I do have to add some pH+ almost every day. It did drop below 5.5 a few times, but generally it's been above.
The EC stays a bit at 1.2 even though I value the newly added water at 1.3 to 1.6, whether I add 1 liter or half a liter, so I'll give it a bit higher next week because I actually want an EC of 1.3 to 1.4 in the bucket. In about three weeks, I'll replace the entire bucket because then the PK booster and Calmag will be added (the Calmag will be a one-time boost), and then for maintenance, about 0.2 to 0.3 ml per liter, since there's already Calmag in the nutrients, I don't want them to get too much. I always do it this way and so far it's been going fine.
I've also removed quite a bit of leaf and secured the first shoots, and with this strain, that means the clock is ticking to 12/12, which I did on 3-1.
On the last day of this week, I set the lamp to 80%, and the distance to the plant remains the same at about 50 cm. This will stay like this until +/- the 4th week of flowering; if I still have space then, the lamp will go to 40 cm and the volume will be maxed out, but it's not there yet.

Also removed some leaves and a few shoots.

This week I removed some leaves and tied down a few shoots, it's not growing very fast so I'm afraid I won't fill the trellis this time. The last time I grew this strain and started tying it down, I was worried I wouldn't have enough space, but now I think I might have some space left over. The temperature is lower than last time, so that might have some effect.

On January 26th, I set the light to 90%, lux value 31,500, the light is hanging at 40 cm, let's see how that goes. If it goes well, I'll leave it like that; otherwise, I'll hang it a bit higher. If it goes to 100% in about 4 to 5 weeks, I'll hang the light back at 40 to 45 cm, or earlier if they get too tall, so I’ll keep this distance until the end of the grow.

The pH averaged 5.6 to 5.7 this week but had a dip to 5.3 (2x), the EC was nice and stable.
31-1, Today I prepared 10 liters of water with bloom booster, will measure again tomorrow and adjust if necessary.
1-2, I measured the water I prepared yesterday today, EC 1.6, pH 6.1, I won't do anything about it for now, will measure again tomorrow and then replace it with the current bucket.
Added to 10 liters of water: Silica power 1 ml, Hydrogen peroxide 10 ml, Calmag 5 ml, PK+ 2 grams, Powderfeeding longflowering 5 grams, pH- 2 ml.
2-2, Today I replaced the bucket, the values were almost the same as yesterday, the pH was now 6.2 and I’ll leave it like that, I’ll measure again tomorrow and can adjust if needed, lately I’ve had to regularly mix in pH+ so there's a chance I might have to start that again tomorrow.
Also this week I regularly removed leaves and secured some shoots, I want to see if I can remove some small buds that are lower and will probably be harvested as fluff anyway.

I removed some leaves once this week and also broke a few branches; they were the longest, but now it's a bit more reasonable, not exactly even but manageable. I'll pay a bit more attention to it next round.
The last day of this week was a bit colder (17 degrees), so I took the radiator off the timer and let it run a bit longer, meanwhile getting the temperature back up (23 to 24 degrees) and I mean in the tent.

Not much to report this week, just that the EC increased a bit at the end of this week, and I'm correcting that because I don't want it higher than 1.6. I was already reducing nutrients, and still, the EC went up, so for the last watering of 2 liters, I didn't add any nutrients. I'll check the results tomorrow.

Temperature: 26.7 to 20.2 (lights on, lights off) RH 59 to 40% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.7 to 1.8
pH: 5.7 to 6.2
The pH was still 6.2 at the beginning of this week, but I've since brought it back down to 5.7; it was above 6.0 for the first 2 days, then below that.
Not much else to report, I'm going to check the trichomes tomorrow; I have a feeling they might be ahead of schedule. This strain should take about 9 weeks for flowering, but I think it might be ready in 8 weeks, maybe even a bit earlier. I don't know why that is; I have the same strain in the tent next door, and it's a completely different plant in terms of growth, even though I'm doing exactly the same thing, and this one is also in a DWC bucket.
This lady is now 35 cm tall, and the light meter shows 40000 lux, the lamp is hanging at 40 cm and is set to 100%.
I haven't added any nutrients all week, just on 6-3 I made one addition of potassium silicate (1 ml per 2 liters) and once 1 ml of phosphorus (per 2 liters), because I think she might have a phosphorus deficiency or a potassium issue, but I can't say for sure. I've looked at some photos of those deficiencies, but I'm not sure which it is, and it could be something else entirely. It's still tricky to make an accurate diagnosis, at least for me.

meneerGreen Week 15 (10-3 to 16-3) week 7 flowering.
Watering: 9 liters.
Temperature: 27 during lights on, 20 during lights off, RH 57 to 43% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.7 to 1.8
pH: 5.6 to 5.7
Not much to report this week, the only thing is that on 15-3 I replaced 4 liters of water because (even though I'm not giving any nutrients) the EC was at 1.9 and the pH at 5.0, so I replaced 4 liters of water and that helped; a day later the EC was at 1.4 and the pH at 6.1. I’ll check the values tomorrow since I gave them some nutrients and some pH- because I want the pH to be below 6.0 or at least not higher than 6.0. The EC can be around 1.5 to 1.6 for me; she’s going into her last week(s) so she won't be getting much more nutrients, but she hasn’t had anything for quite some time now.
The plant looks a bit yellowish; I still suspect a phosphorus deficiency, but maybe it's just the autumn colors. She still has 1 to 2 weeks to go, so who knows, but the photo looks nice again, that’s for sure.

meneerGreen Week 16 (17-3 to 23-3) week 8 flowering.
Watering: 7 liters.
Temperature: 27.5 to 19.8 (lights on, lights off) RH 62 to 41% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.3 to 1.4
pH: 5.8 to 6.2 (1 x 5.5)
At the beginning of this week, the pH was still 6.2, but I've got it back under 6.0 now. Not much else to report; she's nearing the end, but I'll give her at least one more week. There's not really any amber yet, and I want to see some, so I'll keep an eye on her this week. If she needs another week, then so be it.
Nice little thing that I've put and will put more often, it never disappoints actually 😁👍

meneerGreen Week 17 (24-3 to 30-3) Week 9 Flowering.
Watering: 4 liters.
Temperature: 26.6 to 19.7 (lights on, lights off) RH 58 to 40% (highest, lowest).
EC: 1.3 to 1.4
pH: 5.4 to 5.8
I haven't added any water in the last 3 days because I harvested the lady at the end of this week, hence the EC also rose a bit even though she hasn't received any nutrients for a few weeks.
I'm going to do things differently from now on; with my other grow, I've started replacing the water every week, and I'm going to do that with the replacement for this lady starting when I add the PK booster. I won't add any more water but will let the bucket mostly dry out and only adjust the pH if necessary.
Furthermore, I'm going to follow the Greenhouse (powder feeding) feeding schedule more closely and see what happens. I've had some issues at the end of the grow lately, so I want to get away from that. I did turn the light back up to 90% this week (I suspected some light stress), although I won't see the results of that anymore.
But as mentioned, I harvested at the end of this week; the wet weight of the buds is 484 grams and the trim waste is 74 grams, totaling 558 grams. Now just waiting for it to dry, but it looks good.
Beautiful end result! To be honest, I expected a bit less final weight, but you did a really nice job! Those are some pretty compact buds then haha. Enjoy! :)
