In week 2, I noticed slower growth, but my plant looked healthy. To promote growth, I started low-stress training (LST) on the plants, which seems to be going well. I used the Plagron alga start kit and fed it with 4 ml of alga grow and 1 ml of root booster per 1L
Moving on to week 3, I switched the light to a Mars Hydro TS 600, and the plant seems happy under it. However, it's tough to LST sometimes because it stays very compact, and the branches don't want to grow out much. Instead, it's more focused on developing good side branching. I feel like I made a rookie mistake of overwatering during the first few weeks, which might have stunted growth. I fed it with 4 ml of alga grow and 1 ml of root booster per 1L. Advice is always welcome :)
ITS GROWING UPWARDS woohooo, and its flowering! In week 4, I bought a biorhizotonic and added 4ML per 1L. The first pistils are being shown. Lovely feeling. I got a fan to improve airflow, and the plant is growing at a much more rapid pace. I also started to manage watering a bit more, and it seems to be working well. These strains are known for being compact, so I recommend starting LST later than I did. I felt like I was too early in coming back on it. Unfortunately, I accidentally topped one of the side branches, but the plant is growing two new tops there, which is fine, the plant is super rigid and i take good care of it. Making sure all the colas are pointed upwards. And have as even light as possible. While opening up the plant in the middle a bit.
in week 5, the plant is still growing and developing good side branches, while more and more pistils are being shown. It's showing healthy signs and responds well to stress. The plant is very rigid. I'm still feeding it Plagron Alga Bloom 4ML per L and biorhizotonic. I am glad it is finally growing way more upwards. The fan i bought has been way overdue, the plants loves the influx of fresh air! I am normally not into RQS. Me and a friend grew Barneys farm and Greenhouse Seeds before. But this strain is one that looks very promising and healthy. I Love how these new branches have this big base at the stem and seeing that branches that were planted into the ground grew upwards like that. i Dont think my climate is that optimal as it is not as controlled. But I just try to keep it nice and farm. And let enough hair flow through.
Flowers are developing nicely. Have just been watering them with nutriens. Not stretching a lot and staying very compact. But developing a lot of bud sites. thinking about giving it less light so it can stretch out a bit.
i switched the plants to 16 hours instead of 18 to mimic the natural light cycle a bit more. Also looking healthy and buds starting to look very good! A very very weak smell of earthy and fresh tones. Very complex smell! stripped some leaves from the bottom part.
Flowering getting on nicely. Trichomes still seem too clear. The plant stopped stretching and is now focussing on bud development. Buds look nice and white. I think i will continu to feed it a few more times and start flushing after that. Im going to keep an eye on the trichomes, and water and feed based on how they look.
The strain seems very strong. It does stay very short. Barely stretches during flowering. I tried LST but it was not too keen on being trained. Overal very dense colas on the bigger branches. Smoke seems very balanced and chill. Hits very deep and different, Goes over into slight euphoria and a deep body stone afterwards. Great for later in the evening. Smell during curing minimal. Very spicy and sweet apple smell!
