deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season, cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
I’m starting this grow with a lot of interest and gratitude to the grower @1Right_Angle who kindly sent me these regular seeds from a mythical strain I've always wanted to try. Plus, I love challenges just as much as sativas.
I placed the seed in a light substrate and in a small grow bag, moistened the substrate with a mix of honey, auxins, and a Bio Mix EM, put the pot near the router for warmth, and waited 24 hours. The intention is to give time for the Activated Microorganisms from the watering to spread through the substrate, and also for the seed to find a warm substrate. Even so, the seed took 8 days to break through the soil, but in exchange, in these last two days, it has shed its shell and is growing rapidly towards its destination.
Since it’s a regular seed, a male might pop up, so I’ll sacrifice it without mercy and try again. I’ll probably speed up the sex demonstration and cross my fingers waiting for a good female...
Until next time...
HELLO TO EVERYONE!!

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season, cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
It's the second week from seed of this legendary strain, the seedling is evolving and already shows a shape of leaves, thin and elongated, which excites me. I call sativas with long, pointed leaves "spiders"... let's go!
The companion of this seed, a Panama Red strain, did not survive the impact with life RIP, now Punto Rojo is alone and I'm going to pamper it.
I've noticed some issues with the small grow bags (0.45l) that I've started using this season; they tend to dry out the substrate very quickly due to evaporation from the bag, especially when they're in the sun, and that delays root development. I've observed this when transplanting another 4 seedlings this week; I expected a larger root system, but there were no roots at the edges of the substrate due to lack of moisture. So, I've looked for a glass container to keep the humidity in the small pot and prevent evaporation. In the meantime, I've moistened the bags... all for the cause!
For now, I have this seedling under light for 24 hours, at night in the grow tent, and the rest of the day, moving from window to window capturing the spring sunshine. If the day is cloudy, I leave them in the grow tent.
Until next time...

Third week of life for this legendary strain, the seedling is working hard to establish itself in its little pot, and it has started to show its first true leaves.
I keep the humidity in the small grow bag by having the pot inside a glass container.
This week, varied watering and foliar applications to stimulate growth, the seedling is responding, I just hope it’s a female. Next week, I’m going to transplant it and wait for it to declare its sex; if it’s male, I’ll pull the plant and put another seed in its place... all for the cause!

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!✋👨🌾 This season, we're cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
It's the fourth week of life for this legendary strain, and we still don't know if it will be male or female. I haven't even wanted to force the sex declaration because I want to enjoy the plant; if it turns out to be male, it will end up as mulch for some pot.
Three days ago, I transplanted the seedling into an old-school 11L pot with lateral aeration. Three days later, the plant is already looking very comfortable in its new home, the leaves are expanding to capture as much light as possible, the stem is strengthening, and there's a good distance between nodes... let the games begin!!
I did an initial stimulating watering with inoculation of microorganisms into the substrate until the entire pot was moist. These days, I've been doing some foliar applications to all the plants... they seem grateful.
For the potting substrate, I made a base mix with 25% recycled substrate from two seasons ago, which I've had in a bag for these months to lose all moisture. Additionally, I used coconut fiber, a mix of two light substrates, bokashi from algae, worm humus, perlite, and vermiculite, and finally added a wide variety of minerals: Leonardite, zeolite, azomite, Epsom salt, diatomite, illite, montmorillonite, kaolin, basalt, phosphate rock, wood ash, pumice, and several types of clay. Once well mixed and the seedling placed, I added a good layer of mulch rescued from other crops with great microbiological activity and organic matter, to which I added rice husk, a dry material rich in silica that I normally use to make bokashi, but now I'm adding it to the mulch to see its behavior and because I didn't have enough organic matter to complete the mulch for this and other plants.
Next, I did a watering with 1500ml; the mix includes a bio-fertilizer that I'm debuting this season. I've had it in anaerobic fermentation since June of last year. It's a bio-ferment with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA), fermented grass, and Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) to which I added water from 4 green coconuts. I've called it Bio Coco EM. With this bio-stimulant for crops and for the vegetative growth stage, I've tried to capture the hormones (cytokinins), enzymes, and vitamins from coconut water, as well as the multitude of minerals it contains. The water from a coconut contains enough energy and minerals to germinate a coconut seed. Here you can read all about the creation process of this series of fertilizers: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/782852
Now this strain enters the big game, with artificial light at night and capturing sunlight during the day. If the day is cloudy, like last week, they stay in the grow tent. Starting today, I've reduced the light hours from 24h to 19h because the plants also need rest. Of the three lamps in the canopy of my grow tent, the central one is at maximum power, among other things because the dimmer is broken, damn it! The other two lamps in the canopy will go to maximum power this week, and I will add lights as the plants need them.
Until next time...
REGARDS TO EVERYONE!!

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season, cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
Fifth week of life for this legendary strain, I planted a regular seed and I'm convinced, by the compact growth and structure it's showing, that it's a female, and this gets me excited! 😈👸
This week, I've seen the plant grow day by day, the strength it's showing is impressive, water consumption has doubled, and the old-school pot is just right for it. Yesterday I did an apical cut and started training, I'm going to keep it compact for as long as I can to prevent it from stretching too much.
Two days ago, I did the second deep watering after transplanting, with various components for the plant and substrate, and this week I'm expecting a lot of growth!
This week I'm going to start the flowering phase for my bigger plants, for this one I'm going to wait until it's well populated and branched out, although I think next week it's going to have considerable growth.
The cloudy days continue, the plants are just coming out of the grow tent, I've reduced the light time by half an hour, now (18h 30'), I've added a 50w LED panel to the light canopy (2700K +660nm) and now I have 4 lamps running at maximum power (370w). Since I keep the lamps as close to the tips as possible to compact the plants, it turns out that the light on the sides of the lamps doesn't reach enough, so this season, due to putting too many plants in my grow tent, I'm going to play around with putting a powerful canopy instead of lighting from the sides. I have two COBs with lenses waiting to be placed in the canopy, this way I can maintain a short distance with the tips and light from above all sides of the tent.
Additionally, I have two bars, placed vertically in two corners (50cm) with 2100K +IR LEDs that I will connect when flowering starts and the plants grow a bit more.
I'm also waiting to receive an extra spacer bar kit for my grow tent, with this I'm going to recover up to 20% of the horizontal space that the tent loses due to the negative pressure from the air extractors... all for the cause!
Until next time...

Sixth week of life for this legendary strain, I planted a regular seed and I'm convinced, by the compact way it grows and the structure it shows, that it's a female, and this gets me excited! 😈👸
These days the plant started stretching wildly and I had to bend it to show who's in charge of this grow! I've bent the trunk without mercy, tied down branches, and the plant has appreciated it in a display of plant masochism; the current shape convinces me, the trunk and main branches have shown spectacular thickening compared to last week.
This week, a deep watering and several foliar applications with my Fresh Blood Enzymatic Hydrolate (Hidro Blood) to energize the grow, and also my Fruit Lacto Ferment, rich in minerals and vitamins, the plant appreciates it almost immediately.
I was thinking of switching to flowering schedule 12/12 this week, but I think I'm going to extend the vegetative growth a bit longer and enjoy the plant; for now, I observe that water consumption is low, despite the growth and vigor the crop shows.
Normally, this plant stays 12 hours in the grow tent and then I take it outside for six hours to capture the spring sunlight and feed on its fantastic light spectrum; there's no light comparable to this!
Until next time...

Seventh week of life for this legendary strain, a complicated week...
After some wild and continuous foliar applications with a strong amino acid formula, I managed to block the plant for 5 days, water consumption almost stopped completely, at the same time, many leaves got burned, the appearance was pitiful, I did a major defoliation, I decided to water despite there still being a lot of water in the substrate, I prepared 2L of light solution with molasses and two bio-stimulants, one fruit lacto-ferment and another from algae with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA), the idea was to wash the substrate with this solution and drag nutrients to cushion the over-nutrition, the response came after 24 hours, the plant began to normalize water consumption and today, 3 days later, the plant has returned to normal and is growing.
At the same time, I decided to keep the vegetative growth period for a few more days, the plant stays 12 hours in the grow tent and then I take it outside for six hours to capture the spring sunlight and feed on its fantastic light spectrum, there’s no light comparable to this!
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season is all about growing legendary sativas... all for the cause!
Eighth week of life for this legendary strain, fully recovered from last week's stumble, the plant is growing wildly, this week it has grown 20cm, I've kept it in mixed indoor/outdoor cultivation for 18 to 20 hours, today I'm switching it to flowering.
Yesterday I did a major defoliation on all the plants, I’m not a fan of this technique, but space constraints force me to do it, and I want maximum light penetration through the canopy, since this season I'm barely going to add side lighting. The loss of leaf mass takes away from the plant's splendor, but it will recover in a few days... let’s play!
Water consumption has skyrocketed this week, I’m watering deeply every 3 days, and I will continue until the start of flowering with mild watering mixes and stimulating components to achieve the best establishment in the pot. I want many good roots to absorb all the food I’m going to give until the end of their days... growing to the max!
I would really like this plant to become hermaphrodite, to obtain S1 retro-crossed seeds, and if it pollinates other crops, I wouldn't mind either, because this phenomenon occurs at the end of the crops and the amount of seeds obtained is very little compared to regular outdoor crops. I’m always pleasantly surprised to find a seed in my cured buds because I truly consider the phenomenon of hermaphroditism a gift, and I don’t keep an eye on it during the crops... every crazy person has their thing!
Until next time...

It's the first week since switching to the 12/12 flowering schedule for this legendary strain. This week, it has developed a lot of leaf mass to compensate for the heavy defoliation last week, with fine, long leaves to please my eyes. It's still growing in height, adding 16cm this week, and along with this great metabolism, water consumption is rising more and more. So far, so good, but I'm freaking out that it might turn out to be a male goat wanting to pollinate my girls, like what happened this week with an advanced Durban Poison grow... but I'm ready!
Water consumption is perfect for deep watering every exact 3 days, with each watering using new mixes of bio components so that nothing is missing!
This week, I added the last lights to the grow tent, two 50cm LED bars, 25w consumption, and 3000K, 2100K + IR 730nm LEDs in equal parts. I placed them vertically, one in each corner at the back of the tent. These LEDs are to enhance flowering and the growth of the branches and intermediate buds... let’s play!
Until next time...

It's the second week since switching to the 12/12 flowering schedule for this legendary strain, great vigor and growth, but I'm still not sure if it will be male or female, I hope it declares itself this week.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying the grow, the plant keeps growing and growing, I've had to make some last-minute and somewhat grotesque ties on all the upper tips to slow down the height growth, I hope the plant forgives me for this.
Everything else is normal, the metabolism is high, it consumes quite a bit of water, and the leaf mass is expanding, now we just need the flowers!!

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️🌱 This season, cultivating sativa legends... all for the cause!
It's been three weeks since the switch to flowering, and the Great Colombian Female has finally arrived!... let’s play! 💃😈
I think the plant has definitely stopped stretching, so I've continued this week with the bizarre torture of wiring the rebellious upper tips... I love you too! 🧡
Now countless floral buds adorn the entire plant, a starry horizon of bright and vibrant flowers looking for their place in the sky!
The plant is very branched, with thin and delicate branches, and the leaves are too; no branch stands out over others, the overall appearance reminds me of a sugarcane field. I hope for the next few weeks to see the hardening and strengthening of all the branches, as they need to prepare to support all the weight of the buds I plan to cultivate... to the death!
Water consumption is high; I water deeply every 4 days with varied components. In the last few weeks, I've tried to strengthen and energize the plant by adding Bio Stimulants to the watering mixes, all to prepare this sativa legend for the switch to flowering Bio fertilizers and more concentrated nutrients... all for the cause! Since it’s summer and very hot, my mountain water that I store for watering maintains an ambient temperature of 25°C. I prefer to cool it down to 20°C, so I keep water in the fridge and mix it when it’s time to water. Water at 20°C carries more oxygen to the substrate and refreshes it... who doesn’t love a cold shower in summer?
This week I also added some dry amendments: Bone meal, Bat guano, and Worm castings, food for the substrate, the microorganisms, and the plant... in cannabis cultivation, I’m a proponent of obesity; there’s nothing healthier!! 🙋♂️😈
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season, cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
Four weeks into flowering, the plant stands tall and vigorous, taking its time in forming flowers. Although there are countless floral buds popping up everywhere, the canopy already forms a great crown adorned with starry flowers. I think it's going to be a long journey, and I like it because this way I’ll get to know this Colombian legend and get the most and best out of it. Plus, what’s going to happen is that I’ll harvest other plants weeks before this one, and then all the free lights will end up shining on it, trying to get the biggest and hardest buds that this strain can give...
To stimulate the grow this week, I’m doing two deep and concentrated waterings with various Bio components and an EC above 2.2... let’s play!
I’ve also added some pre-cooked dry amendments with Mountain Microorganisms (MM).
For now, the plant has no smell, and to be sure, since I barely have a sense of smell, I asked my wife for help and she confirmed it... everything will come, the plant is young and still doesn’t wear perfume, although what always interests me the most is the effect of the herb. 💃😈
Until next time...

It's been six weeks since this great Colombian female transitioned to flowering, and with her majestic crown adorned with a forest of immaculate, airy flowers that seem to float, she claims her lineage and place in cannabis history...
The buds are growing without restraint, the plant has a high water consumption, and I water deeply every four days with varied mixes of Bio Fertilizers and Stimulators. During these hot days, I make sure the watering mixes are between 18-20°C, refreshing the substrate and providing plenty of oxygen with each watering. Seven weeks since the transition to flowering.
This sculptural Colombian female has rightfully earned a permanent spot in the center of the tent, the most illuminated spot!
The buds are growing with an uncommon elegance, beautiful and immaculate, the new flowers are growing with a fluffy density, showing a perfect epitome of pure sativa strains... I’m already dreaming of breaking this herb between my fingers and smoking and smoking!
The plant continues with a good level of water and nutrient consumption, this week, simpler watering mixes focused mainly on phosphorus and potassium from different organic sources.

Eight weeks since the transition to flowering...
The whole plant is focused on providing energy to the fantastic canopy of flowers, the leaves, like miserable vassals, willingly yield their nutrients... and the Colombian queen increases her crown and her power.
The flowering time for this legendary strain is unclear, but starting tomorrow, when some of her companions head to cannabis Valhalla, she, unafraid of solitude, will absorb all the photons she can handle, and her tails will grow in rhythm. I will remove all her ties and set her free...
Happy summer, growers!

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season is all about growing sativa legends... all for the cause!
Nine weeks since the switch to flowering...
The great Colombian female is alone in the grow tent with only 3M ▼ La gitanilla for company. They are slender and elegant plants, both promising a great yield. Now they are the big privileged ones of the season with much more light and space for air to flow... let’s play!! 💪😁
I've set up a corner of the tent for the two plants, filled all sides with light, keeping the two strongest lamps over the canopy of both plants, and surrounding them with 4 more lamps on the sides with very red spectra. I intend to boost the growth of the middle and lower buds; both plants have underdeveloped parts due to their height, but now I’m going to try to fix that with 400w of lights to give maximum energy in these last weeks of cultivation.
An interesting observation... immediately after setting up the lighting system for these crops, the daily water consumption has increased by an average of 30-40% even though the temperature in the grow tent is lower than before, as I’ve also disconnected other lights after harvesting the rest of my crops. Now, with more space, the aeration of these plants has improved a lot. The increase in water consumption is directly related to the increase in light intensity; I quickly detected this since I weigh my pots daily to know the exact water consumption. All of this clearly reinforces my concept of high-yield organic cultivation: +light=+energy=+photosynthesis=+metabolism=+waterings=+more nutrients= monstrous and dense buds! 🤓😁💡💡💡🌲🌲🌲😈
Happy summer, growers!
Until next time...

Ten weeks since the switch to flowering...
The growing adventure continues with this classic sativa, now completely wild and free, it has traded its crown of buds for a curly mane swaying in the wind, giving it more freedom, the great Colombian female wants to keep playing... she can! 🌲
The canopy of buds, fully bent with multiple ties, resigns itself and grows large colas in all directions, the bud density in the canopy is spectacular, this week I've noticed more development in the middle and lower buds thanks to the intense light I give to this plant...
This week I made a change to the lights illuminating the stage for this Colombian plant, I replaced the side COB LED lamp (50w) at 3000K and diffuse light, with another COB (50w) with a 90° lens and 2800K, this lamp has more penetration than the previous one, and so the plant doesn't miss the beautiful red sunsets of this time of year, I've added, on the same side, a spotlight with 660nm diodes with PAR38 and 60° lenses (33w)... let’s play! 😋💡💡💡
Happy summer growers!

Eleven weeks since the switch to flowering...
The great Colombian female turns to stone anyone who looks at her, like Medusa from Greek mythology, the enormous colas just keep growing, curved, subdued, bent but fearsome and beautiful, especially now that the red tones are starting to cover all the buds. The volume of the colas is forcing me to juggle to hold them up; stakes, forced ties, and caresses are my tools to help her support the anarchic mane of fat colas! 🤓😁😁😁
It's been really hot this week, I hope the plant is enjoying the high temperatures similar to those in Colombia, and it seems so, because the colas just keep growing. I keep her hydrated and fed, and she tells me... Daddy my love!!
Taking advantage of the sunny days, I've brought the plant out into the sun for the last three hours of the 12/12 cycle, UV rays, IR... and all the fantastic solar spectrum at the service of the great Colombian female... let's play!!!
Happy summer growers!

Twelve weeks since the switch to flowering... the great Colombian female demands more life time! I'm going to give it to her! 🤷♂️🤓💃
You don't become a sativa legend by chance; the morphology of the huge buds evokes new images every week. Today, I have to say that these buds are the ultimate example of fox tails; the tail is the entire bud. I've never seen floral development like this strain. The bold and stacked flowers are forming beautiful and increasingly heavy buds. Caressing them and closing my eyes has become a regular practice... will I smoke you in the morning or in the afternoon?
Despite my lack of smell, the plant smells like good weed; these are aromas I dare not define, but this damn Colombian female stinks!

Congrats on a successful start to this journey. Damn exciting thats what it is.
I send a big high-five my Friend.
This is radiant, my friend, the structure after training is really nice and the elongated leaves give it a unique touch.
We're going to keep a close eye on it, let's see how this madness continues 🌱🌱🌱
@1Right_Angle, in the early grow diaries on GD, I was really interested in the topic of lights, until I told myself that no lamp shines brighter than the sun, and I started adding lights very close to the plants, only worrying about not burning the tips. The results are evident: maximum compactness and bigger, denser buds. From the 3rd/4th node, I give the lamps maximum power, and as they grow, I add lights to the sides, since the only downside of having the lamps so close is that you lose lighting area.
@1Right_Angle, I grow the plants in a mixed outdoor/indoor mode, at least throughout the entire vegetative period, and I take the plants outside without worrying about anything, the sunlight is always good. This crop has been the last to transition to flowering, in the meantime, it's 12 hours in the grow tent and the rest outside.
@deFharo, tolerance of the Plants, will be the best indicator. Canoe’s are a NoNo.
This last spell indoors, I stayed really close to 18” distance between plants/lite, throughout the grow.
That will be a little lower next time;
Thanks DeFharo
@deFharo, That is too funny, " Trembling, I'd slowly uncover her dazzling beauty..." and how fitting as well. I did listen. Have Goretski cranked as we speak. Symphony of Sorrow lol
Favourite (only favourite) Opera
@1Right_Angle, I am listening to Górecki and it demands a special state of mind. I'm going to add it to my collection of classical operas. I am eclectic in relation to the music that I like.
I grow marijuana with music, because my crops are next to me, and so that my house does not look like an office 😋😁😋
Great! Hope you right and she is a girl. You growing her in nice pot. I have similar - hydroponic mesh pots which I use for first two weeks of growth as plants loves air pruning.
A question for you this morning DeFharo.
In the last few days of germination and heading into Week 1 of Veg… How far above the seedlings, is your lite source?
Light Proximity? And 24 hours of Light, I am attempting to not have a big long stem in these newbies, wiggling for more lite.
How Close do you Go? I’ve a laser temp gauge and a PPDF reader…
