04/26:
I did a Peat cube germination this time. Had the dome under a cheap blue light, got crazy stretching. Should have transplanted to their first pot sooner. However it all worked out.
This will ultimately be 4 plants, one of each strain that will flower in AutoPot XLs in my 4x4.
I started 3 of the Jack the Ripper, as they are regular seeds, and I want to make sure I get a female. The others I popped 2 of each but have taken only 1.
They will veg over the next few weeks in my 2x2 while my first grow finishes and dries. I will then move them to the 4x4.
05/03:
So far these are all doing just fine. I took their humidity domes off yesterday, and so they are currently adjusting to their environment.
Looking forward to seeing how they respond over the next week.
5/10:
These little plants are loving life.
Nothing special to report. They are growing fine.
I think I may have a bug or two in the tent that are chowing down on The OG Kush plant. Hopefully that doesn’t become a larger problem.
05/17:
These ladies are growing in fine.
The OG Kush seems to have survived whatever was eating at it early on. The Durban Poison has some strange thing going on with its leaves. The JTRs are thriving, and the Humboldt Dream seems to be doing great too.
05/24
I’ve move these plants to the 4x4.
I’ve started main-lining the Sativas. But the Indicas just haven’t grown in the same way, and I’ve t been able to keep them on the same stage. I’d guess that this will create a bit of a challenge in the initial stages of my main-lining.
06/01
I’m am mostly just frustrated with this grow right now. Not sure that going with multiple strains at the same time was the right move. Each of the strains are in significantly different stages in the main-lining. And this is kind of annoying. The OG Kush is really not responding well to this training style, and I may just end up pulling it from the grow entirely.
06/07:
The JTRs are still the strongest and fastest growers. I have all both the OG Kush on 8 mains but each are at different growth levels in this stage. The OG Kush is still working on its 4 mains.
The next couple of weeks should settle in the main-lining for each of them. I need to sex the JTRs before picking one of them and then potting them in the large auto pots. And so I’ll likely need to let them bush out a bit before that so that I can identify the sex. That or just pick my favorite and cross my fingers.
06/14
This week I accidentally spit the main stem of the Humboldt Dream. This frustrated me, but also kind of made me happy. Looking at the plants and seeing that trying to grow 4 different strains this was was just going to frustrate me nonstop though the grow. As all of the plants were basically on different stages of the main-lining and I really need to get the JTRs into flower so that I can sex them. Because the JTRs are growing so well, I’ve decided to remove all of the other strains from the grow. I’ll try them again another time with either a different growing style or with the same strains in the tent so that each plant maintains a similar stage.
So now this is a 3 plant regular seed Jack the Ripper grow. Each plant now has 16 tops! I think I am going to do 32 tops plants for this. I am going to get some new soil this week and then get all 3 of these in their 6.6 gallon autopots. And then get them established. I’ll then switch to flower and cross my fingers. I am hoping that I have at least two females here.
I’ve read that males grow faster than female, and if this is any indicator, I may only have 1 female here as two of these have grown much faster than the third. But that could also just be different phenos.
06/21:
I repotted this week. They are now getting acclimated to their new 6.6gal pots. I will setup the watering system on this sometime in the coming weekend, as the roots should have established by then. I am still training, but will switch to flower in about a week and half or so, and then cross my fingers and how that there is a female in there. 😂
06/26
I stretched out and tied down everything with them at 16 main tops.
06/29
I have officially changed the lighting to 12/12. The training has been excellent. They have been hooked up to the water reservoir. Fingers crossed that I have some females in here. We will see what happens in the next few weeks.
07/05
I noticed a couple of days ago that 1 of the plants was showing signs of being male. And so I unfortunately had to cut it down.
Today I can confirm the other two as female. And so I will have two plants that I am going to let bush out in the 4x4.
Stretching like crazy. Needed a defoliation on the 14th. I basically took of all the fan leaves. Looks bare but just wait for it. It will need it again in a few weeks.
These ladies are growing really well. One of the plants has some strange curling of the leaves that almost look like a water issue, but with the auto pots, I’m sure that they are getting the water that they need. Will just ignore it for now. The buds are pretty and looks like they are going to fatten up nicely. Might end up having to tie some of them up before the end of the grow.
These ladies are growing some dense pretty buds. I did what I hope to be the final defoliation this week. I also tied up several of the branches that are no longer able to support themselves. No question if these are sativa dominant. They are growing like a healthy stereotype. Based on what I am seeing now, I think I may be pulling over 4oz off one of these plants. The smell is sweet and earthy. Very pleased with this strain so far.
Yummy yummy! These ladies are so beautiful and smell so tasty. I’ve switched them to just water and will be harvesting in 2 weeks. I am so very pleased with the way both of these plants have turned out. The buds are dense and well formed, and look as if this is going to be the best weed I’ve grown so far. Getting very excited to try her out!
I am less than a week from shutting off the lights. I will shut them off on Wednesday and the. Chop them down for drying on Friday. Getting very excited for this bud. Super proud of the training and this grow. These ladies are nothing but a bunch of juicy yummy flowers.
I just chopped these ladies down. This has been a wonderful grow overall. Very pleased with both of these plants. You can really see the difference in size between the two now that they are hanging upside down. I’m super proud of the training, though maybe not the best style for this strain, as she was stretchy. They will now sit in this tent in the dark and between 58-62% RH. I’ll be back in 5-7 days with a harvest report.
Wow! That his is the strongest stuff I have grown for sure. Or at least it comes with the most head high. I smoked half a bowl before starting to trim. I got energized, and feeling good. Didn’t get hungry, or relaxed or tired. About 15 minutes after smoking I was all over the place mentally. I was so stoned for a bit there that I forgot what I was doing while trimming. I managed to forget while I had a limb and trimmers in my hand and a trim in full of weed in my lap…. I’ll take it a bit easy next time. I’ll smoke up again after a cure.
Update with Smoke after 2 week cure:
This bud is delicious, strong, and trippy. I can’t handle a full joint myself. About half way into a standard raw, I am baked and all over the place. It comes with a wild energetic high that peaks about 5 minutes after smoking and settles down about 45 minutes to an hour in where you will either be feeling great or ready to toss on another trip. I prefer it in the daylight with the binds open. At night it somehow makes me paranoid. Love it overall.
I am very pleased with this grow. Subcool’s JTR is a wonderful strain and the genetics are spectacular. Happy that every thing in the grow turned out as it did.
From the smaller plant, my trimmed and dried but was 2.79oz.
From the larger plant, I got 4.3oz of dried and trimmed bud! That is a new personal best for a single plant. Even better is that this plant also has some of the highest quality weed I’ve ever had.
I am really looking forward to trying her again after a cure.
The training in this grow was a lot of fun but was also overkill. That much mainlining is not needed to get a decent return. But it sure is satisfying to see the result.
@StarLorr, 😂 I can relate.
The two Autos will stay in this tent. And I will be taking these plants to my 4x4 after the Doug’s Varin grow finished up in there. I’ll be taking 1 of each of the 4 strains and potting them in the AutoPot XL pots in the 4x4 where they will finish.
@@DaMunchies, i meant photos😅😂(don't mind me got high😵)
I just noticed you have two autos with them from a different diary. Will they stay in the tent or will they be ready when you flip to 12/12
@StarLorr, you mean photoperiod? They are all photoperiod plants for sure. As for their phenotypes, I am unsure. I know that the JTR are all regular Jack The Ripper F2, and so I’d expect that they are all the same pheno. However for the others, I will just have to see what characteristics come out.
Thanks! I’m pretty please with what I got going! 😁
@@DaMunchies,i hear ya.
Im growing non feminized seeds as well, my first diary 2 males, trying the last three seeds fingers crossed 🤞🏻 😂
And also these genetics are not too shabby 😉
@StarLorr,
It is for sure. But they were regular seeds and so I can’t complain. I doubt I use regular seeds again. Although these seeds are fantastic genetics.
@StarLorr, thanks dude!
Yeah, it’s pretty great. Trippy, but great. Hahah. Makes me want to go buy some Space Queen (one of the strain parents) to try, as it is supposedly where the trippyness comes from.
