Aug 17: nice plant is still growing. Hit 30 C today which was unexpected, and we also had a two minute hail storm in the evening. The pot plants were up against the leeward side of the house so they were fine.
Aug 18: rain all day, cooled off quickly to 10 C.
Aug 19: cool again today but some sun and not raining. Started early with a few litres of 26 C water to warm them up. The plants are still noticeably growing but flowering is progressing so I’ll take it.
Aug 21: she is officially the biggest of the four plants despite the very slow start. 👍
Aug 22: don’t take flash pics of photoperiod plants unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm far red light to put them into dark mode. k, thanks.
Aug 23: this plant has vegged to a seriously large size, and hopefully the flowering will go quickly. The sun gets weak quickly this far North but it should still be good.
@Dutchfem_Seeds, you’re right and point taken, I’ll keep an eye on it…the daytime humidity is always very low (25%)here and I’ve been spraying the leaves a few times a day with city water which is very good but high-ish pH (8+). I keep a 20 L pail of water on the go for the whole garden, to let it degas for a day before use, but sometimes I just mist from the garden hose. Should be okay, but what do you think, should I lower the pH a bit?
@Northern_Ent, at this stage with this plant height they only need about 40ml water per day. The rest of the soil should be dry/moist for best growing condition. Your plants always look awesome so i am sure you will make these a succes too. Cheers! 👌
@Dutchfem_Seeds, thanks for the comment. I’ve made the same observation about other people’s grows too, but I don’t think I’m overwatering. I likely took the pic right after watering.
We have cool overnight temps, and my plants always look small at this stage. Nice weather now and she’ll start growing quickly.
@BudBoutique, thanks. Haven’t tried any yet as I just took it down yesterday. Couple colas hanging to dry but mostly fresh frozen. I need to get an electrician in to set up my freeze dryer and once that happens I’ll be making piatella hash. I have liked Gelatos from other breeders so I’m looking forward to this one.
