@Alex_xlive, that is a good question. It could be just because the seed was not very viable. In nature, nothing is perfect. However, germination likes high humidity. I see you are germinating on the windowsill. That is a great idea. Make sure that it stays warm. If the window is cold, or your room is, be careful. Also, germination likes very high humidity. A good thing to do is to cut the bottom off of a plastic drinking bottle and place it over the seed in the soil. This will produce condensation from the evaporating water and increase the relative humidity inside the dome. I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
