I will preface this by saying keep in mind that this is only half of my second grow ever, I also did it all organic with an 11/13 flowering light cycle, and two of my colas had to be removed due to accidental wind burn, so the yield isn’t eye dropping, but…. oh my god it smells and tastes so good and the high is magical. I’m all about quality over quantity. This strain is my favorite grow out of the 4 plants I have ever grown for both ease and flavor. Seriously, THIS IS A TRUE CONNOISSEUR STRAIN. The quality of the high matches all of my other favorite highs. I only marked "insomnia" as a negative because the high made me so excited that I basically couldn't go to sleep. So I guess I don't really know if that qualifies as a negative. Per average cola weight, I could have had an extra 17.91g more to add to my total dry weight for a possible total of around 71.65g instead of 53.74g had it not been for losing two of my colas to wind burn, but I’m not complaining because this was an all-around wonderful learning experience. It even survived 2 stem splits.

You can actually notice a positive difference in growth and color after using this. The Kind Soil alone wouldn't have done as well without it. Didn't even have to use the full recommended amount.
I don't notice a big difference in bud size partially due to lack of experience, but I won't *not* use it during flowering.
Made an almost instant fix when I noticed the brown spots commonly found under LED lighting. I highly recommend this if you are using both organic super soil and LED lighting. Half or even just a quarter dose is plenty.

I will be improving my ventilation and watering system next time around. I learned a lot about topping, defoliation, and watering properly this time, so I am looking forward to using the experience I gained on this round for the next one. I’m really happy with how it turned out nonetheless. This strain was very forgiving - I totally recommend it for anybody who is still learning, and even for just the aroma and taste. I could just tape the container to my face and huff the flavor all day and be content. This was an all organic grow with Kind Soil hot soil and a very minimal use of Recharge, Mammoth P, and Camg . I did Nugbuckets' Mainlining technique to get 8 even colas, but 2 of the colas had to be removed because my circulation fan shifted overnight back in the veg stage and severely wind burned those 2, so I only ended up with 6 colas. My overall weight would have been over two ounces with those two extra colas. My flowering light cycle was at 11/13 to bring out the individual characteristics of the plant. 11/13 has also been proven to accelerate the flower cycle. In the beginning I accidentally severed the main stalk, but taped it quickly and the plant survived almost like nothing happened. Later I also split one of the cola stems and it was left hanging by a string, and I quickly taped that as well, then even more so it acted like nothing happened. Compared to the yield of the Acapulco Gold that grew beside her, she ended up with less weight since this Blueberry Kush has only 6 colas because of the wind burn accident, and the AG had all 8 of hers. Yet this BK still had taller and thicker colas though. After some calculation of averages from what the BK produced with only 6 colas it would have actually had more, somewhere around 71.65g instead of 53.74g. The AG ended up with 65.91g. Final thoughts: the Kind Soil for me isn't super fantastic. It works really well for some people, but I think maybe it lost some of its oomph being shipped to me. I also had a lot of negative pressure in my tent, so it kept things really dry, which also isn't good for living soils. So next time around I will install a better fan that has a temperature controlled variable speed. This will also help with my CO2 retention. I believe fixing these issues will help increase my yields. Also, for “grow room size”, the open space in my tent was much larger than the plant itself, so I think that it is unfair to rank the g/ft^2 size based on tent space, so I used the actual square area of the plant itself for grow room size instead. For example, if I were growing in a 20’ x 20’ basement with a plant that is only 1’ in diameter, it wouldn’t make sense to rate the plant’s production off of the 400ft^2 area. "The Church" by the legendary breeder, Green House Seed Co., and "Holy Grail Kush" by the powerhouse breeder DNA Genetics. It will be a "religious experience" - agnostically of course 😜 .

You can always try dropping the temps the last week to get those colors if they don't show for you.

@MovingOn, mine has that genetics too, but I can't get it cold.

@BeefWellingtons, yeah, but was going to see if they'll come out alright without relying on the temp change too much. DJ Short, the father of the Blueberry strain, recommends 11/13 to help bring out the more exotic traits. If it doesn't work, I won't be too bummed out. If anything, the 11/13 is at least supposed to be bring out a stronger terp profile anyway.

Dude, what’s not to like about packing almost 2oz. In to a 22” plant. IMO - it’s all relative and quality always trumps quantity! Great grow and awesome info. I’ll def. give that light cycle a try on next photo grow. Got stoned and forgot to on this current one 😉 lol. Great diary homie👊

@MovingOn, All good either way far as I’m concerned. When you grow your own what’s a couple quarters here or there😉👍. Lol

@TheBudWhisperer, thanks, Bud! I really appreciate you sticking around through this grow! Haha, yeah, according to the breeder's estimated flowering period I shaved off about 10-20 days. I think it is true the yield would be larger if I did 12/12, but the dankness is just too superb.

I feed my soil grows every 4-5 days in veg and 3-4 days in flower. Gotta let that soil dry up a bit.

@BeefWellingtons, ... the Super Silver Haze and Neville's Haze videos I think were my favorite. Monster plants even though they were grown indoors. It looks like somebody else has a good collection of the videos on this link: https://growhd.tv/channel/Green-House-Seed-Co-Grow-Videos/3

@BeefWellingtons, they are kind of scattered around on the internet. They have a few on their website, but the easiest way to find the one you want is to Google them. I do think most are on YouTube at least. All the ones I have watched, they do the 5-day drought after a flush on the 16th day of flowering, and then again on the 28th day. I don't flush, because of the living soil, so maybe that is why the BK went dry so quickly? This Google search should have a bunch of the videos available: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-ab&q=green+house+seed+company+grow+videos

@MovingOn,I hear ya. Same here, with letting it go too dry. Two of my lower branches just sagged over the weekend. They were popcorn colas but still it sucked. Can you link me the GHSC video?

hey Doc, Are you going to use anything for the Co2, I see you got your Co2 PPM measured, do you use a meter? I use the Co2 bags but i have no idea if they are effective or what ppm comes out as i have no meter yet, they look a bit costly at the mo. The plants seem to like the bags tho.

MovingOncommented6 years ago
@MicrowGrow420, thanks, I'll consider it.
MicrowGrow420
MicrowGrow420commented6 years ago
@MovingOn, if i could make a suggestion...You would get away with just 1 light on veg mode for now this early on, 1800w on 2 young plants is possibly a bit excessive, that would bring your temps down a bit and you would possibly get more benefit from the Co2 bags you have going. But your grow space and environment will dictate that too.

MovingOncommented6 years ago
@MicrowGrow420, yeah, two of them. One for each. I figured if I'm going to be doing manifolds, I'd better get some good light penetration.

The flowering nodes on your plants look to be absolutely amazing. You've done such an amazing job with this grow so far and I'm so excited to see how these plants finish up as well as to hear how they smoke. Best wishes my friend :D
