I defoliated a bit this week because of the fan leaves throwing shadows down into the lower sections of the colas. I probably should have done it the week before flipping to reduce shock during the flowering stretch, but it’s okay because the plant responded really well anyway. Buds are forming, and the top weight of the colas seems to be increasing pretty quickly.
I am looking forward to comparing the performance of this girl compared to the Acapulco Gold beside her - this Blueberry Kush has only 6 colas because of a wind burn accident, and the AG has all 8 of her colas. Yet this BK still has taller colas though. So it will be interesting to see which has the better yield.
A little recap of my grow, which is also growing alongside with its Acapulco Gold cousin in the same tent in my other journal:
I'm going all organic with Kind Soil hot soil and a very minimal use of Recharge, and now also Mammoth P and Camg+. I'm doing Nugbuckets' Mainlining technique to get 8 even colas, but 2 of the colas had to be removed because my circulation fan shifted overnight back in the veg stage and severely wind burned them. I now only have 6. My flowering light cycle is at 11/13 to bring out the individual characteristics of the plant. 11/13 has also been proven to accelerate the flower cycle.

@BeefWellingtons, yeah, but was going to see if they'll come out alright without relying on the temp change too much. DJ Short, the father of the Blueberry strain, recommends 11/13 to help bring out the more exotic traits. If it doesn't work, I won't be too bummed out. If anything, the 11/13 is at least supposed to be bring out a stronger terp profile anyway.
Dude, what’s not to like about packing almost 2oz. In to a 22” plant. IMO - it’s all relative and quality always trumps quantity! Great grow and awesome info. I’ll def. give that light cycle a try on next photo grow. Got stoned and forgot to on this current one 😉 lol. Great diary homie👊
@TheBudWhisperer, thanks, Bud! I really appreciate you sticking around through this grow!
Haha, yeah, according to the breeder's estimated flowering period I shaved off about 10-20 days. I think it is true the yield would be larger if I did 12/12, but the dankness is just too superb.
@BeefWellingtons, ... the Super Silver Haze and Neville's Haze videos I think were my favorite. Monster plants even though they were grown indoors. It looks like somebody else has a good collection of the videos on this link:

@BeefWellingtons, they are kind of scattered around on the internet. They have a few on their website, but the easiest way to find the one you want is to Google them. I do think most are on YouTube at least. All the ones I have watched, they do the 5-day drought after a flush on the 16th day of flowering, and then again on the 28th day. I don't flush, because of the living soil, so maybe that is why the BK went dry so quickly?
This Google search should have a bunch of the videos available:

@MovingOn,I hear ya. Same here, with letting it go too dry. Two of my lower branches just sagged over the weekend. They were popcorn colas but still it sucked.
Can you link me the GHSC video?
hey Doc, Are you going to use anything for the Co2, I see you got your Co2 PPM measured, do you use a meter? I use the Co2 bags but i have no idea if they are effective or what ppm comes out as i have no meter yet, they look a bit costly at the mo. The plants seem to like the bags tho.
@MovingOn, if i could make a suggestion...You would get away with just 1 light on veg mode for now this early on, 1800w on 2 young plants is possibly a bit excessive, that would bring your temps down a bit and you would possibly get more benefit from the Co2 bags you have going. But your grow space and environment will dictate that too.
@MovingOn, looking forward to the harvest. I will take another run with the kind soil after I move to the new place in Feb. Going to use all your suggestions too ;)
@Iop420, thanks! I am really happy about it. If only I could share the taste over the internet, this strain is so flavorful. I highly recommend it to anybody out there. There's a link to the seeds in the weekly comments if you are interested.
The flowering nodes on your plants look to be absolutely amazing. You've done such an amazing job with this grow so far and I'm so excited to see how these plants finish up as well as to hear how they smoke. Best wishes my friend :D
