I wanted to experiment with growing outside and I had a pack of Grand Daddy Purple autos from Beaver Seeds and decided to drop one and stick it outside. I'm going to transplant it around week 1 or 2 of veg depending on how quickly it grows. All I used is reamended soil with some Coast of Maine Stonington blend I got to try out and that's it so far.
Didn't take many pictures this week. Still keeping it inside because of its size and I don't feel confident with it not being eaten immediately at this size.
The plant slowed down a lot this week and I think it's going to kick into flower. I think I might have stressed it too much by over watering and stunted it or maybe roots hitting the bottom of the pot triggered it. I'm going to keep it inside and just let it finish in the closet and see what happens. I top dressed with some Gaia Green to prepare for the transition to flower.
Plant definitely started to flower. Unfortunately it's very small but it's my fault I guess. This is my first try with an auto and it's clear I have a lot to learn about them. I'm going to let it finish and see how it tastes to see if the other 5 seeds will get planted soon or to try another strain I have in the collection.
This week I figured since I'm not really gunna get anything out of this grow, might as well try to get the lowers as big as they can get. I used a garden stake to help bend it to try and get more might on the lower buds.
Finally starting to see some trichome production. Buds are also starting to get bigger and are starting to purple up already. I also moved this girl and my clones into the tent to finish up while I get my next big grow ready.

Unfortunately this week I had a huge heat and humidity spike for a few days. Luckily everything took it fairly ok but we started to get some foxtailing on the Grand Daddy Purple.

Last week of the grow. Checking deep in the plant, it has around 20-25% amber trichomes. I decided it was time to cut it and free up the rest of the tent to get ready to flower.
Unfortunately with my inexperience with autos I believe I stressed it and that lead to stunted growth and maybe even early flower. Overall this plant was super easy going and gave me no issues. I have more seeds and I plan on trying again soon.
