This Titan F1 will grow most of her life in my greenhouse. For the first few weeks I will give her a nice start in my GTools growbox. This little one had a bit of a rough start as the seedling got stuck in the seedplug. With a bit of help I freed her and now she's back in business.
Nutrition for this grow will be Easy Boost from RQS that should provide for enough nutrition for this grow cycle, although I will add some Easy Grow Booster Tablet and Easy Bloom Booster Tablets later on in the grow cycle.
To wrap up this first week after germination I can say I'm really happy on how this seed has developed. After the rocky start she is almost as big as her sister and the stem is really strong compared to another autoflower I'm growing. If she keeps growing at this rate, she will be ready for the greenhouse by next week.
The seedling is growing in a steady pace. She had a bit of a rough start popping her head out of the soil, but now she is as big as her sister. This week she will stay in the small cup and after this week I will move her to the final 11L Geotextile pot in the greenhouse.
Today (Thursday) I decided to move the Titan F1 seedling to the greenhouse and her final 11 Liter pot. To make the transition as smooth as possible I used an empty paper cup to make an imprint in the final pot, carefully cut away the paper cup that holds the seedling and slide her in the potting hole. No stress 😇. She already developed a nice root system in her first week after germination!
I added some Mycorrhiza and Bactrex to help her grow and develop healthy roots. The windows of the greenhouse are now closed to protect her from the weather for a couple of days. Let's see how she likes her new environment!
The Titan F1 is growing steadily, she doubled in size in a week's time and looks healthy and strong. Not much else to say for now, it's too early for training but more pics will follow this week!
After two weeks of fast vertical grow the Titan has stopped to develop her side branches. She has healthy looking leaves and the stem is already quite thick and sturdy. More pics and updates will follow later this week!
At the end of week 3 I'm happy on how healthy and strong the Titan F1 has become. I will add some Easy Grow booster tablet to the water the next few days to support her vigorous grow. As the temperature is quite high during the daytime I added a mulch layer (hemp of course) on the soil to prevent it from drying up too fast.
Week 4 and the Titan is still growing fast and strong. It's hard to capture the actual color of leaves on camera but they look just beautiful and healthy. The initial stretch has stopped and now she it growing strong side branches. Seeing her in the morning sun in the greenhouse just lightens up my day! More pics and updates later this week.
The Titan is now blooming and slowed down on the vertical growth. She looks strong and healthy. The greenhouse is really hot these days, so I moved the plants a bit closer to the door where there is more wind. The smell is really nice, flower and citrus.
The Titan is creating more buds by the day and the smell is great. Flowery with hint of citrus. Beside a few bugs eating her leafs there is no problem at all. With temperatures rising in the greenhouse during the day she drinks a lot. This is not an issue as I can check up on her a few times a day and provide water when needed. The ant infestation has been solved thanks to the neem oil and I see no signs of thrips and other pests. So far so good 😊
The Titan is looking better by the day. A lot of trichrome production resulting in nice frosty buds. The main cola has grown really big already with no signs of slowing down. I water her once per day, and when it's really hot in the greenhouse she also gets a watering in the afternoon. Even though she looks a bit different compared to her mutant sister, the smell is very distinct. Herbal, citrus and flower fill the greenhouse (and everything around it 😄)
Well this week took a bad turn 😑 This morning I found mould on one of the top buds. I quickly removed it and managed to save most of the plant. Main cola is almost gone though. I salvaged the top part which is now in the freezer to make some bubble hash. The disadvantage of the greenhouse is obviously high humidity. And because of the rain the last few weeks this is bad news for the Titan with it's already dense buds. Also, I discovered a small bud on one of the leafs 😜
I hope this will be the last of the mould problems, we'll have to see.
At the end of this week the mould issues have grown even worse 😓 I had to cut off three more buds with budrot. Thankfully the plant is ready for harvest and most of the trichromes are milky. Checkout the harvest update later today.
Despite of the budrot I'm really happy with the result of this grow. In hindsight I should do something to improve the airflow in the greenhouse. I'll fix this for the next run. The strain is great in both yield as in taste. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments and likes. It's great to share our love for this wonderful plant together 🙏
