cornozito It seems to me that they are a little bit too small for their age. But let's see how they're doing the next week!

cornozito Oh, what a horror! It feeld like a course to me: every time when I'm coming back from holidays something big worse happened in my appartment. This time: the Autopot system that i tried out for 2 days before going on holidays. It worked perfect at the beginning, i trusted the system. After one week (7days) I came back and 3 of the 4 plants felt down (the downer part of the stem was to wet and week). the strange thing: the leaves looked healthy! It needed two days until the leaves also showed signs of big overwatering (maybe already dead?). The only plant (strawberrie pie) that was not overwatered was my Albino-mutant, weak since the seedling-stage (took three days longer and was half yellow coming out of the soil). What shall I do: start from zero with new seeds or try to get the best out of them?

After 7 days of vacation and my first try of the Autopot system I noticed heaviest overwatering by the autopot. Took them immediately off the system. 3 of 4 plants felt and layed with weak stem on the ground/soil. When you watch the photos: go on (any tips?) or start from scratch

Any more advice when preparing the pot substrate? Step 1 Always put a layer of expanded clay (hydroton) about 2 or 3 cm at the bottom for drainage. Step 2 Fill the pot with substrate (or the mix you prepare) to the top and weigh the pot. That will be the weight of your "dry" pot. Step 3 Empty the substrate until halfway up the pot. Step 4 Water that half of the soil in the pot very slowly, saturating the entire substrate with 5 percent of water based on the pot volume. Step 5 Fill the remaining half with substrate. Step 6 Water it very slowly, saturating the entire substrate with 5 percent of water based on the pot volume. This way, you'll have a well-moistened pot but NOT soaked. Check the weight of the pot daily. Water ONLY when the pot has the "dry" weight. Good luck!

On which day after germination would you turn on the Autopot system and stop watering from above? The instructions said 7-10 days, but that wasn't enough for me. Would you turn the Autopot system on and off in the first weeks or leave it on all the time?

Hello friend, i start auto watering from day 14/15 some time even later. In My experience its better to plant develop roots system first and after transplant i start auto watering. From start i don't use continuous watering , i like to have on/off periods 10-15x per day

cornozito After the entire grow went bad due to overwatering, I put the Strawberry Pie, which still showed a bit of life, into a bonsai pot just for fun and placed it on the windowsill. Now, after 13 weeks, this little albino has formed - although it's really, really small. The trichomes are still crystal clear, and I'm curious when my weed bonsai will be ready for harvest. And whether it will yield 1.5 or 2.5 grams of dry harvest. I'm looking forward to THAT high 😜

cornozito I let her do her thing on the windowsill. Nice and leisurely. She'll probably be harvested together with the second grow and sent to the Cannatrol.

cornozito This albino bonsai is growing in slow motion. I estimate it will yield two to three grams - I have high hopes for its taste and effect! I think I will harvest it in 5 to 7 days, along with the two mature plants from the next grow, which are also slowly getting there.

cornozito After 108 days, the mini-harvest of the Strawberry Bonsai, which no one believed in anymore, is here. Drying in the Cannatrol cabinet along with the next grow generation, which again included a Strawberry Pie from Fast Buds - only this time in a larger size. I'm curious to see how different the effects and taste will be. And the albino mutation looked beautiful as a houseplant on the windowsill.

Very good. I also had overwatering problems. I put 500ml in a 4L pot, more than 10%, and it didn't like it. Then I lowered it to 5%, adjusting, and it bounced back. Next time, start with a cup of water and see how it goes, then a little more. It's more beneficial to let it dry out completely (they eat more at the next watering!) than to overwater. Enjoy it!

@DonGoro, thanks for the tip! In my second and third grow, I only water very little for the first 2 weeks, the soil is dry every day - but it works great - then I put the Blumats in the soil - I get along well with them - they took good care of my plants during my 3-week vacation. 😁

Today, on the 28th day after sowing, I'm ending the grow. Overwatering has caused the lower stems to rot, unfortunately. For my second grow, I will start with the seeds directly in the soil and will intentionally monitor the Autopot system for a few weeks to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Thank you very much for your responses and the guide. I think I'll wait another day to see how everything develops and will probably replace the weakest plants (with new substrate).

I mixed Biobizz lightmix with clay pebbles (about 30 percent) as a substrate and added 3 cm of clay pebbles to the bottom of the pot. I didn't water much, except for the starter plugs from Biotabs - they were soaked with water according to the instructions. I didn't do any top watering except for the first watering of the soil, but from day 15, I turned on the Autopot system to water automatically from the bottom. I now think that was too early because the plants didn't need that much water yet.

Watering: the first watering was 25 % of pot size (2 liters for 8 liter pot) when i moved the starter plugs with the seedlings into the final pot (autopot 8,5 liters). That was after six days of germination. This first grow I try to find out if the biotabs starter pack is really enough for different strains of autoflowers. Even if i want to do more (compost tea etc.) i try to stay disciplined and stay with the biotabs starter pack this time. After the first week of germination I waited another week (all in all 14 days) for putting the first biotab into the soil. Today (15th day from seed) I put on the autopot system. Don't know if it's too early, but from tomorrow on i'm on vacation and put the hole system including the daylight cycle (sanlight evo series) on a serious test. I'm hoping for the best :) My light 'technique': I am measuring Ppfd and DLI with a real par meter to be as precise as possible with the light amount. In the first week they got 12 DLI, second week 16 DLI, and now in the third week (15th day) they get 20 DLI (320-350 PPFD). If they continue to grow as planned they will get more DLI (up to 25/27) when they will get closer to the lights. Because i'm on Vacation the next week I put the light round about 50 centimeters away from the leafs so they will grow into the 40cm range during the next days. I forgot to mention that I watered the pots a second time adter the first main watering: on day 13 I watered the dry corners of the pots with 200-300 ml per 8,5 liter pot.
the end.
