Germination

Week 1: Let this be the start of something special, with a 95% germination rate and a great start under 24 hours grow LEDlights. All the babies are doing well, the plan is to keep all of them 2 weeks under 24 hours of light to give the auto’s a little head start. Most of these strains I’ve wanted to grow for quite a while now, so I’m really excited to finally grow the classics I grew way back! Happy outdoor season everyone!! 🌱

Week 2: One out of three Fastbuds CBD and Michka didn’t make the first week. The rest of the bunch is doing fine luckily! Germinating two extra Michka’s at the moment, cause I really want to grow this particular strain. The Humboldt Green Crack CBD was ready to be transplanted to a bigger medium, so I’ve put her into a 5L Airpot. She’s happy to finally catch some sunrays in the garden outside

Week 3: Moved the whole bunch outside last friday. Great weekend with nice temperatures for the northern hemisphere, 23 degrees Celcius outside looks like the little ones are quite happy with it. I’ve put my last 2 Michka beans in soil after three days in wet coffee filter. As there wasn’t very much growth visible, I decided to put them in soil and hope for the best! My 70 year old hippie friend gave me a nice little present; 2 ounces of good ‘ol Marrocan hash 🎁 Till next week, happy growing!

The question is: To top or not to top?

Making a topping cut on an autoflowering cannabis plant has both risks and benefits. Here are some of them: Risks: Plant stress: Topping involves removing the main shoot of the plant, which can cause stress and potentially affect its growth and development. Delayed flowering: By removing the main shoot, the plant needs time to recover and produce new shoots, which can delay the onset of the flowering stage. Benefits: Increased branching: Topping encourages lateral growth, resulting in a more branched structure. This can lead to increased overall bud development. Height control: If you have height restrictions in your growing space, topping can help you control the plant's size and keep it within desired limits. Enhanced yield potential: By promoting a more branched structure, topping can increase the potential for higher bud production. It's important to note that the response of autoflowering cannabis plants to topping may vary, as they are genetically programmed to follow a specific growth and flowering cycle. Some plants may tolerate topping better than others. If you decide to top an autoflowering cannabis plant, it's recommended to do it during the early vegetative phase, ensuring you use clean and sterilized tools to minimize the risk of infections. Remember that each plant is unique, and results may vary. Observe and evaluate how your plant responds to topping, and adjust your cultivation techniques accordingly. I hope this information is helpful. Good luck with your cultivation!

Week 5: Last weeks weather did really good for the ladies. Suns been shining pretty great, couple days 30plus degrees Celcius ☀️ Humboldt Green Crack CBD is firing up after transplanting it into a 55L growbag. Transplanted Strawberry Cough into a 42L pot last night. The autoflowers start to show signs of early bloom. Gave em a heavy showering with Advanced nutrients Overdrive. Made 4 clones from Humboldt’s Green crack as well, hope I can hand em out to friends in a week or two 🎁 Till next week, mahalo 🤙🏻

Week 6: The plants are doing awesome! All auto’s are flowering and soaking up sweet summer sun rays. Discovered a hempfield just 400 meters from my house this morning, acres and acres of Canabis Sativa L. This particular field belongs to Hempflax, a sister company of Sensi Seeds in Holland. I hope this hempfields pollen won’t mess up my crop of photoperiod plants later on.. Big shoutout to Humboldt for the Green Crack CBD. This plant in the root pouch has some real sturdie genetics!! Till next week, happy growing everyone!!

Week 7: Last week was a bit cold and rainy unfortunately. But the plants are doing great though, Humboldt Green Crack CBD is bulking up pretty good in the 55L growbag. Fastbuds cbd 20:1 is entering the third week of flowering and looking good! Been feeding her 10ml Advanced nutrients Budcandy and Overdrive, great nutrition so I’ve heard. Strawberry Cough is still a bit slow and small. Hope she gets a bit bigger in the coming weeks so I can take a couple clones from her and can give a couple handouts to friends. Maybe not a smart thing to do, cloning a slow pheno? 🤔 Till next week my fellow weed growing friends 🌱

Week 13: Green crack CBD is doing great, she’s almost 2m high. Thriving and looking super healthy. Strawberry Cough is a little slow, probably the slower phenotype of the three pheno’s. The weather’s been a bit shitty in Holland the past couple weeks, lots of wind and rain ☔️ Hopefully the weather is getting a bit better in the upcoming weeks, fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Week 14: Harvested all my autoflowering plants last Sunday. The smell on the Fastbuds California Snow, Fastberry and CBD 20:1 is intensely fruity so to say. Very happy with the outcome on these particular plants, sadly I forgot to do a wet weight on all the plants that made it to the cut though.. I will do a dry weight after trimming. The Blueberry cbd plant from Weedseedexpress smells really great too, very creamy and fruity aromas. The RQS Solomatic plants smell brilliant as always, a mix of fruit green tea and a little hint of diesel. Can’t wait to do a smoke report on all these plants, but first things first! My Humboldt Green Crack Cbd is thriving and probably one of the sturdiest plants I’ve grown the last couple years. Really looking forward to the end results on this one! The Strawberry Cough from Dutch Passion is a bit more slower though, but getting fuller since last couple weeks. Till next week everybody, happy growing!

Week 18: This is the 2nd week of flowering for both the Green crack CBD and the Strawberry Cough, luckily the past couple weeks we’ve had great weather in the Netherlands. Late summer with up to 30 degrees Celsius; quite good for early September in the northern hemisphere. After this weekend the forecast is turning around and autumn will kick in, lots of rain and humidity up to 80% I will both plants under a roof in my garden to protect them from heavy run during bloom. Always exciting if they’ll make it or not; the flipside of growing in Europe.. Till next week; happy growing fellow gardeners 🍓

Week 23: Chopped the Strawberry cough down as well, not super excited about the harvest as it could’ve gone a couple weeks longer. Unfortunately the humidity didn’t allow this. This particular strain would do better in a bit more tropical climate.. not that suitable for outdoor grows in the Northern hemisphere in my humble opinion. The smell of these buds though, almost candy like 🍭 Luckily I got two clones from this plant that I’m growing indoors this winter 😇
