They're all about 20-25 inches tall right now. Some of them are pre-flowering others are not. I'm not too worried because the plants that did this last year had relatively comparable yields just a month or so early.
They're all between 25-29 inches. Due to back pain, I don't have the wherewithal to put each individual measurement but despite some being started a week later, and some FIMed while I left others, they're all about the same height. Some have begun to early pre-flower, I'm not completely sure, but I think it's a genetic issue where some plants are more susceptible to early flowering under outdoor conditions. At least this year only one is fully in early flowering. The rest should be transitioning at least more relatively close to the summer solstice.
With the coming solstice, I'm starting all on veg to flower transition nutrient schedule next week (except the one that already transitioned I put it on a bloom schedule already). It was a bit windy when I was trying to take pictures will try to only do it in the morning.
Starting the transition to flowering for the upcoming solstice, which should force the rest of the plants into flower. The temperature has been going up so I've upped their water, and I ran out of Hydroguard 😭 and it's too expensive for me so hopefully they do fine without it lol.
It's getting so hot, upwards of 105 F, but they don't seem to mind much so far. Upped morning water to 1 gal each. Put everyone except the 2 that are already fully flowering on this transition schedule.
A few of them are still holding onto the veg state, but most of them are in pre-flower or full flower by now. The nutrients listed are only a general reference for the majority of them transitioning, but different plants are in different growth stages and I change their nutrients accordingly.
Defoliated the lower bits of most of them. They don't seem to really mind this heat too much, but it's probably still slowing them down a little. Nothing I can really do but water twice a day, and hope for rain.
*Edit had to update that hours after posting this it started pouring rain. 😂💚
I ran out of the florabloom, so this week I mixed it with a lower amount and added a very weakened concentration of Grotek Monster Bloom to make up for it. Wind is getting crazy and I think it's about time for the rainy season to start, and the anxiety that comes with the possibility of hail storms 😰
Temperatures are starting to ease up a bit. Headed for monsoon season. The earliest flowers are about ready to harvest already. I lost my jeweler's loupe so I'm just going to judge by watching the larger fan leaves as they change color and die off. Right now it looks like the outer trichomes are ripening so maybe another week or two.
Not much to report. They're just bulking up at this point. Some will be harvested in mid to late August, and I predict the rest will be ready by maybe early September. I've found this timing common for indica dominant genetics over my few years growing outdoors here. Usually I plant some sativas too that run almost to December. Kicking myself for not doing that again this year. 😂🤷♂️
Just another week of trying to fight nature and bulk up my buds. Temperatures finally letting up, but have to stay vigilant against caterpillars and possible aphids, though luckily the aphids don't seem interested in these strains like they're going after my Northern Lights auto. Harvested buds dried faster than I anticipated I might have let them go too long. Quickdried a little bit to test and it burns completely clean, so I think I'll be happy with the fully cured results in the end.
Sorry I fell off a few weeks they're all basically done for the fall all the leaves are yellowing/browning faster than I can even keep up. There was a really bad wind storm out of nowhere that snapped a few lower branches off and I've been cutting the very top colas off.
I'm drying, jaring, and trimming as I go with an overwhelming amount of plant matter. Too much bud? I'm not going to complain lol but this is going to be a lot of work for this poor disabled body. Will keep updated and get a final weight when all is trimmed.
@JohnnyBarrel, thanks, and same to you and yours! I can't believe they're doing so well it's been up to 108 degrees F, but I can't take much credit. I just flood them in the morning and give nutrients once a week and they do all the rest of the work! 💚 At the moment I'm just life support, when the temperatures drop and it starts raining in the fall my work is pretty much done til harvest lol
They're all showing sex now, some even seem to be in pre-flower, which is interesting because the same thing happened with these GG#4 seeds last year. Unfortunately, my two non-fem seeds, and one of the fem white widow were showing signs of male sex so I pulled them. Sad day because it was the three biggest, most beautiful plants I had. C'est la vie.
