Fingers - Dinafem Blue Critical Auto

Dinafem's Blue Critical Auto is a indica dominant cross of (Critical+ Auto x Blueberry Auto). Estimated life cycle of this strain is 70-80 days from germination. The setup for this grow will be as follows.. Tent size - 4'x4'x6.5' 6 in 440 CFM fan ducted to push through air cooled hood 6 gallon nursery containers Pro-Mix HP + 20% extra perlite for aeration and drainage 600 watt HPS on dimmable ballast Viparspectra PAR450 - add blue spectrum during veg GH Flora Duo nutrients with GH Supplements,Terpinator and UC Roots All measurements are recorded in ml/gal. 9/13 - Seed placed into moistened Rapid Rooter. 9/17 - She's above ground. 9/18 - Day 1 of Veg. Transplanted to her final home, vigorous taproot already through bottom of rapid rooter. Water PH to 6.1. Ballast set at 50% power(300 watts). 9/20 - Day 3, Not much to do right now. Just keeping moist as needed. Got a new TDS pen and calibration solution. I had a feeling something was wonky with the old one, and sure enough, it was off by 46 ppm. The new one has a calibration set screw. I will check it bi-weekly to make sure it stays calibrated, along with my PH pen. 9/21 - Day 4, gave some water PH to 6.1.

9/25 - Day 8, the young lady is getting her first feeding today. FloraDuo A&B went in at 25% strength, and CALiMAGic at 50% strength. PPM of 242 and PH was set to 6.1. She has been the most vigorous plant in the tent so far. 9/27 - Day 10, gave her some water with PH set to 6.1. 9/29 - Day 12, water again at PH of 6.1. 10/1 - Day 14, fed her again at 350 PPM with PH set to 6.1. This is my first veg under HPS, I notice quite a bit more distance between nodes compared to my previous LED setup.

10/2 - Day 15, she is showing signs of stress I think related to watering. I put a small box under this plant to boost it up a few inches closer to the light, as I am learning what height is best for veg with this new light. 10/3 - Day 16, began LST this morning. Bent main stem over 90 degrees and secured with coated wire staple. Also watered a little deeper than previously. with PH set to 6. 10/4 - Day 17, she is responding well to LST and was perked back up within a few hours, she is also starting to smell faintly. 10/8 - Day 21, she is really starting to develop her side branches at each node as you can see in the pictures and has started preflowering as well. She is healthy and takes anything that comes her way in stride. The faint smell has now become pretty strong for for veg..

10/9 - Day 22, tucked her big fans down a little to give the lower side branches coming up a bit more light. All of her side branches are developing nicely, and should provide a nice support for her upcoming harvest. Fed at 470 PPM and 5.9 PH at ratios indicated in table. Tap water is 80 PPM. Added one of my LED panel to the tent for blue spectrum during veg. 10/12 - Day 25, she is doing very good, lush, green and healthy. Roots peeking out the bottom of the pot already, gave her water today PH to 5.9 and runoff was 720 PPM. 10/13 - Day 26, did some more LST on some of the side branches.

10/17 - Day 30, she is hungry and showing nitrogen deficiency on lower leaves, Fed at 580 PPM and 5.7 PH with 0.5 gal of solution. 10/21 - Day 34, fed 1 gal of solution mixed at 660 PPM, 5.8 PH. This is an early bloom feed as she has begun budding.

10/23 - Day 36, she is budding for sure, she suffered some nutrient deficiencies and there has been no stretch. 10/26 - Day 39, she is stacking budsites up, gave her water today pH set 5.8.

10/31 - Day 44, she is still yellowing a bit soon for me. I defoliated a bit today, she is definitely a runt, but building a little frost and stinks to high heaven. It sucks i screwed this plant up early on, because I can only imagine how great she'd be if I'd got it right. 11/2 - Day 46, fed her at 640 ppm according to mid bloom wk1 of GH DTW schedule with pH adjusted to 5.9.

11/7 - Day 51, she is getting frosty and smells loud!!!

11/16 - Day 60, she will be getting a mild finishing bloom feed this week. She is so stinky and sticky, everytime i bump her i have to get the alcohol..lol

11/20 - Day 64, she may have to get taken a week early if she yellows any more. Very frosty and sticky, trichs are starting to look a little like plastic. 11/23 - Day 67, couldnt let any more sugar leaves start to curl, so she got the chop today. She is drying now.

Overall, I'm impressed with the potency of the bud, considering how badly I grew it. Too big a pot, inadequate drainage, never grew up close enough to the light, underfed. I plan to run this again in the future when I get more seeds, and treat her better. Definitely give her a chance, Blue Critical has some serious potential.
