Hi all! Back at it!! Nice to see ya again!
This time I changed a few things in the box.
I'll be running one plants of two different strains instead of three plant of the same, so I raised the pot size to 15 liters / 4 gal airpots.
And I'll give a try to a new nutrient solution! I'l be running the Bio Tabs line that I won a few month ago in the diary of the month contest (Thanks GD and Bio Tabs ;-) ). I have very high expectations so let's hope everything goes fine!
I prepared the soil according to the Bio Tabs instructions.
The rest is identical and I'll list the hardware here under.
Also I'll try to be more regular and to update my diaries more often. My last indoor diaries were missing some weeks and some quality pics too to be honest.
So see you soon and thanks for watching!
Ho and as usual fel free to ask anything!
Hardware:
60x120 (2x4) blackbox
PrimaKlima 220/360 m3/h extractor (always on switch 1) pushes air in
Green filter CH10 (entrance, passive exit) So yes I filter air coming in but not going out. I don't have any need for odor control :-D
1 secret jardin 20w fan
2x 180W COB led lights
2x 15L airpots
Winflex temp and humidity tester
And the top of soil, Bio Canna Bio Terra Plus
Wow, the gelato seems to fell good in that soil, impressive growth in a week!
I water only with Ro water added of 1ml/L of CaMg+ to bring back some minerals and once a week I add 2ml of orgatrex. Seems to work fine.
Also I try to keep my soil a bit more wet than before to preserve the microbial life.
Cya next week!
Hi all!
Looks like we will have an issue here soon! I already see some signs of overfeeding... I definitely should have waited a bit more before adding the tabs to the soil but couldn't know! I followed the Bio Tabs directions.
I'll try to remove some of the tabs and use more water to see if I can stop the overfeed.
Despite this she seems to grow quite fast.
I cut the firs pair of branches as always. I find they are too close from the second pair and also too close from the soil.
Cya next week to see if she feels better!
Hi all! Finally it seems that the Green Gelato is handling quite well the overfeeding! Certainly due to her indica genes... the more sativa Hulkberry in the other hand doesn't handle it at all!
She is growing fast and responds nicely to the training. I flattened the branches and twisted the main stem between the second and third node so that the top two pairs of branches don't overlap the first two. I usually twist 45° between every node but this is way more simple and the result is almost the same.
When twisting the main stem I plant two wood sticks to block the rotation of the plant. Leaving those for a week allows to settle the position definitely. You can see them in the hulkberry diary w4.
So for now everything is fine for the Gelato. I will top her very soon. I don't top too early to reduce a bit the development of the two top branches.
Cya next week!
Hi all!! So same bad news as for the Hulkberry! Gelato has been terminated this week!
As you can see she was less affected than the Hulk but finally, as more and more roots dig in the more rich layers of the soil, she starts burning too!
So restarting all from seeds is definitely the best solution.
End of the story, beginning of a new one!
Cya next week for better growing!
@DKBJJ, I did several times and I was starting to get over-watering symptoms without significant improvement on the overfeeding... that's why I gave up! But thanks for the advice!
I recommend you move to fabric pots
Drainage is excellent, and you can touch the bottom of the cloth and feel if it is dry and so you know when to water ... ... every two days watering
