Hey 👋
It's been a while. I recently moved and I'm sharing a grow space now. I'm doing this grow for fun, so a large yield isn't as important to me at the moment.
1/2 popped up so far. I'll update this once the other does as well.
Edit: Nice, the second seed popped up hours later.
These seedlings are growing strong so far.
The last time I grew these they had explosive growth. I added a bit of Orca mycorrhizae to give them a boost.
I'm still adjusting to the new space. Forming the right environment is always tricky. I'll keep the humidifier on from now on regardless of how often it rains here. The air gets really dry in the tent at times.
Then, I lowered the intensity of my lights and brought them a foot closer to the plants. I noticed their color is a bit lighter than I'm comfortable with and some stress to one of the plants pictured.
I fed them light nutrients this week and it seems they're back on the right path.
So far so good. Impressive growth so far. I believe I have another week or so of vegetation before they flower. I'll see to top them before that. It's been raining heavy this week so the humidity is reaching 80% at times inside and outside of the tent. 💦
These ladies exploded with growth last week. I've topped them and started training them a bit to grow flatter. It's been about 4 weeks so far; I'm expecting them to flower soon. I'm gradually bumping up the nutrients a bit this week so by the time pistils show up they'll have a full nutrient dose when I feed em.
Great growth this week. It doesn't even look like I defoliated and snapped a couple branches. Aside from that I've raised my lights and increased their intensity. I believe they can handle it. They should be flowering pretty soon.
I switched to 12/12 since there are photos in the tent ready for transition. I feel I'm too cautious when defoliating autos, but the pics look like I did nothing at all lol. I'll try to periodically trim until late flower if it helps. They recover so quickly, I don't think it'll hurt.
The girls are starting to flower and show their buds+pistils. They're pretty bushy again; Going to defoliate one last time. I'm feeling this harvest is gonna be a nice one.
More defoliation this week. They're responding to it pretty well which is nice. I believe I can get away with this for a few more weeks.
The buds on top of the canopy look really nice so far and I hope the ones in the middle of the plant get the right amount of exposure.
I gave the ladies another trim to expose more buds to light. They look fairly good so far and the buds are starting to swell and smell really nice. Looking forward to cruising like this until harvest.
Not much to report this week. I gave them a break this week; no defoliation. The buds are swelling and giving off a very nice aroma. Just a few more weeks to go.
These ladies look close to harvest; I've inspected the the trichromes, and most of them are not as cloudy as I would like.
Time to flush them for a couple weeks and hopefully they're right where I need them to be for harvest.
I grew these for fun and I sure had a good time. I stuck with Jacks 321 formula the whole grow using Koot's formula. There weren't any major issues aside from the excessive heat and humidity during certain weeks, but they powered through it. I wasn't expecting a yield this big either, which is a plus 👍
