Dropped into some ph 6.5 water for 24hours & left in the dark. Planted straight in their forever home & had popped up when I looked this morning. Took two days for the girls to emerge.
I started with my light at 50cms on approximately 40% power. The girls didn't like it & stretched like hell & one fell over. I've added a copper support to that one and dropped my light to 40cms on 40% power.
It's been a struggle keeping temperatures down even during the night & my timer has failed me. While I wait for a new one, they are getting 17hours light a day.
I topped up the soil a couple of centimetres where it had dropped & the girls were very stretched the first week. No problems holding themselves up now. Kept the light at 40cms, now running at 50%, which seems to be the current sweet spot for growth. Photos taken after the dark period.

They have almost doubled in size in the last week & took their 1st feed yesterday, day 20.
My biogrow has gone off, so I used a little topmax instead while I wait for some more to be delivered.
Started LST day 20, just bending them over with some copper wire tied to the pots.
Watering approximately 1 & a half litres each now to 10% run off.
Have moved the light up to 45 cms on 60% power.
Grown up & out this week. The smaller one of the two is now 4cms bigger than her sister at 30cms, the other a respectable 26cms . They have only had the one feed so far, due again in a day or so. No sign of preflower yet.
The smaller of the 2 plants is drinking more than her sister & has had 2 water feeds & one feed as above. She has multiple bud sites & lst has worked well.
Her sister is uncontrollable in height, inspite of trying to pull her main bud down, she keeps shooting up. Has less bud sites & is behind her sister by 2 days on a water feed.
No sign of the elusive purple yet, but I live in hope one at least, will be accommodating this grow 💜
I'm one day past the 5 week mark. How much more is the one plant liable to stretch now & could I top her or is it too late ?Tall & gangly is now 76cms, while her sister sits at 48 cms.
You're using a 1000w bulb any only 35cm away. This would be an issue with a 150w bulb.. there's no way your plants leaf temp is 25c the plants temp is far exceeding the average you should try keep temps dif in pre flower no more than 7c. You need to move your bulb way back. 45-55cm and she'll stop stretching so much when lights go out and the plant cools.
Plant still stretching before lights out & has grown another 10 cms in less than 24 hour's. I put the light to 50 cms as advised & dimmed the light from 60% to 50%. Very concerned I'll run out of space if she keeps growing like this. I only have 20 cms left to raise the light.
High, you can bend the plant down carefully to win some space. And if that is not enough then you need to supercrop the plant. There are many articles on the internet how to do this without breaking the stem. I can tell you but it is easier to watch a video about it to fully understand the concept.
But I woulf start with just bending the main stem down CAREFULLY. You can bend it a bit further everyday. You do not need to bend it in 1 time just do it in small steps to prevent that you break the main stem.

I tried to bend stretch my tall purple lady & the stem broke, losing the top 3 buds. She stands at 97cms . I've had to tie her branches back, which is a shame because I think she'd be glorious if she could hog the entire light & would more than fill my little tent.
Her sister is coming along amazing well, responded perfectly to LST & ive just adjusted a few of her copper ties this week. She's standing at a respectable 66 cms.
Both are having the above nutrients and I'm on feed/water cycle now for both plants.
Approximately every 2 days they both take around 2 litres each to a 10% run off.
Calmag only given once every 8 or 9 days
Light is running at 65% power at 40 cms away.
The smell has become more powerful this week, both stinking like lemon haze.

Uneventful week, nothing much seems to have changed except the size.
Stretch the tall purple lady who accidentally got topped, is now 113 cms. Her sister, who is more curvaceous, is 77 cms.
Stretch has been having feed/water every 48 hours. Her sister has been having 2 water feeds, then a nutrient feed after I noticed slight tip burn on some of her leaves.
This is the slowest progress I've had with fast buds, but only my 4th grow so hopefully the yield will be worth the wait.
I've been cheating with the water, using two different mineral waters. One is a perfect pH for water feeds & the other comes down to 6.4 with the biobuzz nutrients if made up 24 hours before.
My light is as high as it can go, I'll have to tie the lanky gals branches down some more !
I have one plant ready to harvest, the other which I suspect is a totally different variety is still at least a week 10 days away.I only have one tent & have to fly, under the radar. Would it work if I customise a cardboard box to hang the Purple lemonade in, with some air holes
I have done something similar for my last grow. I hung my drying rack on top of the light in the growing tent, similar to your box idea.
The worst part about it is that a plant in its last days needs 40% humidity while a drying plant needs around 65%. Learning from that experience I would opt for the humidity required for drying.

I harvested on week 12. I'd broken a toe & my foot hence being absent for weeks. My friend looked after them both for a week & almost killed them so not a bad result in the circumstances.
The other plant, which is still drying is not purple lemonade ! It stayed pure white with brown hairs & although it smelled very little during the grow, is making up for it now drying.
