Update on week 9...I pretty much built an insulated room in my shed in my yard, with an AC Infinity tent in it. It's getting so hot here my VPD got up to 1.84 , that's when I grabbed the plants pot, scrog, and all, and got them into the garage, so as not to shock them, as they came in the house. Then a neighbor and I (after removing the light) carried the whole thing into my house. VPD 1.26 they're loving life. My house is on the market...perfectly legal...I'm even state endorsed medical. We'll see how it goes...

I've had powdery mildew, don't think this is it. If two leaves overlap , the overlapped part is clean ...any ideas ?

it's the type of humidifier.. one of those misters or atomizers? those leave nasty films on everything, not just plants. the normal humidifiers won't do that even with tap water.

My plants got as far as 1.84 when I instituted emergency procedures. I would much institute emergency procedures too early, than too late. So, if I'm supposed to stay in the 1-1.5 range, they were starting to get crispy on the leaf tips at 1.84, what is the tolerance +/-10% 5% ??

The flowering phase can endure elevated VPD values, yet it requires reduced humidity. I'm mot sure how you landed on 1.84 but if I were you, (maybe for next time) incrementally raise the VPD from 1.0 kPa until it reaches approximately 1.4 kPa. Now with regards to the tolerance, I wouldn't go over by a lot and If I do, increase it in small increments because plants stress most when there are drastic changes. Good luck with the rest of your grow. Looking good 👍

I;d think it partly depends on the strain how much tolerance they can take outside the regular realms. Good Idea to strive and stay in the green zone for VPD charts for best results. Good Luck!

Hi Barney, First of all amazing grow so far. When it comes to nutrient solution concentrations (EC or PPM) for plants, maintaining the ideal range is important for their health and growth. The optimal range varies depending on the plant species, growth stage, and specific environmental conditions. However, a general guideline to consider for EC fluctuations is around +/- 10%. In your case, if you were aiming to stay within an EC range of 1-1.5, a tolerance of around +/- 10% would mean a range of approximately 0.9-1.65 EC. This allows for some flexibility while still keeping the nutrient solution within an acceptable range. It's worth noting that different plants may have different sensitivities to nutrient levels, and factors like temperature, humidity, and the specific nutrients used can also influence how plants respond to changes in EC. Therefore, closely monitoring plant health and adjusting nutrient solutions as needed based on visual cues, such as leaf color and growth patterns, is essential. Additionally, if you notice leaf tip burn or other signs of stress at a certain EC level, it might be a sign that the plants are not tolerating that concentration well. In such cases, it's better to make gradual adjustments and avoid pushing the limits of the EC range to prevent further stress to the plants. Remember that plants' needs can vary, and observing their response is key to finding the optimal EC range that suits your specific growing conditions. If you got further questions feel free to send me DM Have fund and good luck !!
