Welcome to my Tropical Tangie From Dutch-Passion.
I've no idea what I'm going to do, r how I'm gonna grow.. I'll get her through the 1st few weeks. Then I'll decide. Gonna think of something different, either method, pot used, style, etc.
If anyone has any ideas please leave in comments. I have one r 2 of my own ideas. As she's a dom sativa I was going to do a 50cm2 scrog in my 100cm2 tent. But, as the order didn't come for a few weeks. Sour Strawberry got the honour of been tortured by a SCROG numb..
Edit
Have made up my mind, with some advice. Going to do a 70cm2 SOG 10x13.5cm pots. SF-1000 will be used. For flowering, I might invest in a G3000. If not my Mars-Hydro FC 3000 will be used. I'm going to veg one out for 30 r so Days. I'll top it above the 6th, and remove the 1st set of nodes. Let it grow to a point I feel ill be able to get 10 evenly sized cuttings. They'll be going into Root!t cubes with the same brand Gel and 1st Feed (specialist for new cuttings 1st Feed) and I'll be using 10 pots as I said. If I get 10 12cm2 ones it'll give some room for the plants to grow. Not much, as it's a SOG but, enough for the light to hit all key areas.
Edit: Seedling Days 0-4
she popped on the 7th early am. Got to Seedling Day 4 & kinda lost track of the pics. She flipped into veg on Day 6. Healthy & Happy. Going strong. 40% quicker growth rate already at this stage.
Welcome to my Tropical Tangie From Dutch-Passion. Sponsored by DP & SPIDER-FARMER with their new 2023 upgraded Spectrum.
Veg Day 3-5 10th Day and she's well advanced as you can see from screen shots no BS. removed the 1st sets of 1fingered fan leaves and both nodes. As 99% of the time. These are weak. As they've only 1 fingered fans they are slow for this reason out the gate. And always lag. So I rid them. I'll be growing to I get 5 sets of nodes. And then removing them so I can get 5 even enough shoots for a 10x 6.5L SOG. Growth won't be as rapid. As I'll be using no co2 in veg for the sog. Cause, well, its just too fast. I will keep what's left of the mother and veg her out she'll have 20 sets of tops after taking clones from each one. Let's see where's at on day 28. But, if at this rate of growth. Itll be to fast for allowing 3 weeks before flipping. So, I'll be using my SF-1000 and will probably add the new SF-2000 prob to my 70cm2 for my 1st SOG. the SE5000 from Spider-Farmer will be used to veg and fully do the mother. So, you'll see how she is under co2 and ambient conditions. (I'll take 3-4 clones as back ups also for any possible failures) so, a full 5 sets topped on each one mother and then 10 babies for a SOG. This should cover all aspects of what this strain can grow like. In the SE5000 temps from 33-35c with the SOG it'll be 24-25c. If that and ambient conditions.. I'll be storing my SOG tent outside as my room is a dedicated co2 room
Edit
I've no f....g clue as to why. But my whole crops co2 intake has dropped. I done individual checks 8-11 plants are locked out and not growing. Including this. No real change in 2 days. It looked like that more or less on day 11.
Welcome to my Tropical Tangie Diary. Decided to just do a small plant. Was doing a 9 plant SOG. But, things changed.
Veg Days 9-21 Day 25
Plant is moving along at an alarming rate. Really healthy and happy, she's lush and haughty. Used no base nutrients. Just soil. Changed to suit its needs. Used root stim pure zym. And, she's going strong. Am going to move her to a 5L pot when I put her to the flip next week
Veg Day 22-29
This is the last week of veg for this micro grow. I was doing a SOG, Got 9 healthy clones. But, sadly. My time frame didn't fit into been able to complete it. So, this is the only girl I have. She's got 8 tops, they'll be HST'ed. And nutrients will be kept to a minimum. Gonna let this girl grow out with good owl soil + bat guano. I see I've got little yellow mushrooms in my soil. "Flower pot polaliris". Lots of house plants get it. And there's no harm to the plant. I tried getting rid of it. H202 and so on (scraping the soil). But, it just came back stronger..so as the plant moves through the flowering phase I'm sure she'll eat through all that fungi.
She was moved into a 5L pot. And then I got hit with this FPP.. Generally I don't like micro grows as they take just as long in flowering as it does a big girl (plant). Just 2-3 weeks extra veg & into a bigger pot. But time wasn't on my side. So she got 4 weeks off veg. And then moved into flowering.
Thanks to my sponsors from Spider-Farmer and Dutch-Passion for their products and support.
Also, to all who stop by. I look forward to seen your grows so drop a like r whatever so I know. But, either way I appreciate you stopping by.
Welcome to my Tropical Tangie From Dutch-Passion.
This update is all pics I had for flowering phase. Sadly a lot of time was missed, (pics/videos) and such, as family stuff hit this crop, I just finished off the last of the puff this week. So, I have her taste and qualities fresh in my mind. So, stay tuned as full harvest & smoke review coming in the next day or two.
Took a little over 8 weeks to flower. 60 days. Pre Flower she didn't really stretch so she'd be a ringer for a good SOG. The plant started to develop a lovely tangie smell early. I hit her with a the SE5000 and was at the edge. Picking up a lovely shape. The buds started to develop really nicely. Swollen calyexs, with fuzzy tops, dripping in shiny glistening trichomes. Was HST'ed early into the flowering phase. Knowing that HST works best after PRE flower has ended im sure id of gotten bigger buds. But what I did get was 21 grams of premium A grade HomeGrown. (More 2 come on that topic)
Really happy with this girl and her strenghts. As a lot of my crop suffered from light exhaustion. Co2 was kept steady and the process of ppfd intake was really high and not enough co2 which led to the plant eating the very thing needed to push your plants, sugars, co2, light. And the ppfd was been kept up but sadly the co2 was not. But, she pushed through it the best out of the bunch. Hitting highs of 35c. Brought it down to 28 the last 10 days or so and cut the ppfd in half and dropped and extra co2. She ate all the Fungi in the pot, and was a happy lady. As you might be able to tell. I'm talking about this girl in the past tents, and that is because this girl and her whole 21grams got 1.5 months cure. I was smoking it upon curing also. Defo one of the best tangie puffs I've had in a long time.
Brief flowering phase(s) reviews:
Total time 90 days. 9 clones taken, but sadly I had to ditch that plan. I HST'ed this girl just as she was moving into pre flower. And was a very hardy girl. Drenched in sticky trichones she glistened under the light during late flowering period. Will defo be doing a SOG as she hardly stretched at all during pre flower probably 8cm, and there was a big swing in lights on/off 35c / 23c. Very easy girl to maintain and very hardy to harsh conditions. Thanks to Spider-Farmer for providing the light and to dutch for allowing me to try this baby. As I said. Harvest and puff review coming soon. She isn't a house stinker. So, some light air cleaning with an air filter and you'll be golden. But, don't be but off by this. As she'll be a stinker upon finishing or at least doing 4 weeks of curing. (More in the harvest update coming soon). 90 days + 48hr dark rest and 10 days drying at 19c and 70% rh. (Gen not my ideal conditions for drying but done 3 of my girls this way, and they're probably my best dried plants ever. No bush whack smell (hay smell).. some very nice bud that grinds a treat. Takes a little longer to dry but no dropping the RH, it must of been the steady conditions that made them some good owl phenos..
Thanks for your views and so on. Glad to be back after my few months absence.
Buds grew really nice. As it was a micro grow. It also didn't stretch much during flowering, making it an ideal candidate for SOG (Which I had Originally started, and got 7 healthy clones, 2 failed. But as my schedule was limited I had to drop it and do a micro.)
Got 21ish grams of very high grade what I would define as Orange Skunk. Very pungent and with it unique tropical citrus hints. But, unmistakable for me was orange and a very similar trait an OG skunk with a tangrine Twist.
Defo going into my winter garden. And, one of these days I'm gonna do that 9 7L SOG.
As you'll see in the harvest. I'm giving a brief look at how she progressed. Its not the diary I wanted to make. But, as I had family stuff come up and other stuff. Here's what I got.
She's a pleasant easy plant to grow. She took a lot of punishment with every node topped and she pult through the entire crop of 14 plants the hardest by a ways.
Odour is strong. So, I'd advise a purifier or filter and use a negative seal. Steady on the nutrients she doesn't demand to much. I'd of loved to give her another week to ripen and get some more orange popping but with 15-20 ambers I was more than happy. And she was done. The smoke itself was smooth which let you truly taste all this girl tropical and sweet tastes while blowing your socks off with her stank.
Roughly 90 days. She took a lot of punishment as I took 9 clones off her. And it took just over 2 weeks in the pre, pre flower stage. (Its the stretch before you actually get in pre flower, in most cases that's when you'll get your most upwards growth is in the period it takes before you see stigmata)
So, all in all. She's a very hardy plant and took everything that was threw at her, heat, pests, fungi disease (FPP). (SHE TURNED ALL THAT INTO BASIC mycelium, so it ate everything needed. Bat Guano was added during the Flowering phase and the fungi carried her through flowering phase real easy. Other than that it was a breeze.
