yan402 So I decided to start experimenting with Korean Natural Farming and Fermented fruit juice as a pH down and extra to my standard feeding schedule. ⚠️Types of fruits best suited to making FFJ are non-citrus fruits and vegetables high in potassium.⚠️ It’s best if fruits are at the height of ripeness. This is because the sugar content is at its highest then. Source everything as locally as possible if you’re not growing it yourself, no such luxury for me living in Berlin Germany so I have to use what I I've got from the Supermarket. 🍌🍉Fermented fruit juice recipe for flowering🍉🍌 📍 1200g Unrefined Sugar(Wiki values) Calcium 85 mg (per 100g) Iron 1.91 mg Magnesium 29 mg Phosphorus 22 mg Potassium 133 mg Sodium 39 mg Zinc 0.18 mg 📍200g Banana peels(Wiki values) Iron 0.26 mg (per 100g) Magnesium 27 mg Manganese 0.27 mg Phosphorus 22 mg Potassium 358 mg Sodium 1 mg Zinc 0.15 mg 📍800g Watermelon fruit and peels/bark(Wiki values) Calcium 7 mg (per 100g) Iron 0.24 mg Magnesium 10 mg Manganese 0.038 mg Phosphorus 11 mg Potassium 112 mg Sodium 1 mg Zinc 0.1 mg 📍300g Ginger with skin(Wiki values) Calcium 16 mg (per 100g) Iron 0.6 mg Magnesium 43 mg Manganese 0.229 mg Phosphorus 34 mg Potassium 415 mg Sodium 13 mg Zinc 0.34 mg 📍200g Mix salad rests Nutritional value unknown!! 📍0.8ml Bio Heaven 📍0.8ml Top Max 🚧All chopped in squares thrown in a plastic 8l bucket and covered with about 1200g Raw/dark Sugar and mixed well covered and now I have to wait for it to ferment and draw all the minerals out for about 3 weeks, in the meantime I'll be checking every day and remixing it to make sure it's all mixed well 🚧 After 3 weeks when I'm done with this batch I'll do one for the Vegetative stage and pH down combo.

yan402 Result was 2 Liter's nothing much to say other than it smells interesting and edible (don't eat it pls). This batch is going to be fully tested on my Nirvana mystery seeds diary as a flowering nutrient in about 2-4 weeks. I did not add biobizz products at the end of it so it's pure FFJ and if it works I'm going to be eating my extra portion of fruits this year 😁 decided not pasteurizing it after all but it will be kept in a fridge at low temp 2Celsius. That's it folks nothing more to add for now.

@Baryon23KoekNL, Those are general values of the ingredients I used, no guarantee that the fermented juice will have all those minerals in it growmie, and yes lemon juice works great, been almost exclusively using lemons for pH down for about a year now, it's cheaper to use pure citric acid though.

Way to go! It's awesome that you make your own inputs. I often feed a stinging-nettle FPJ during veg, an apple FFJ during early flower, and a banana FFJ for that extra potassium boost in late flower. BTW, where do you get your sugar? The cheapest place I've found to buy unrefined organic sugar is DM (2,25 € / kg.)

love_2_growcommented2y ago
@nonick123, It's pretty straightforward: mix the plant/fruit material with brown sugar 1:1 in a glass jar, top it off with a layer of sugar, cover the jar with some cloth, and leave it to ferment for 5-10 days in a dark place. Look up Korean Natural Farming (KNF) to learn more.

@love_2_grow, I'm not sure about the price of it but I buy from my local Rewe Supermarket Berlin Germany, it's my first actually with the Korean way of making things I tried to use classic organics like humus, worm shit, bat guano and other things but the results were never good enough to justify the trouble and smell, especially the smell indoors and the results are rarely immediate with those methods, with FFJ I see a difference in a day max. Love the Koreans smart people 👌

@Sour_D, It's definitely interesting 🤔 I'm already using a "light" version and my first impressions are quite good even though I see some deficiencies on Medusa#1+3 the bud development speaks for itself in combi with good genetics off course. And it's quite potent as well I had slight nutrient burn on Medusa#3, and it works as a pH down the only thing is this you have to keep adding water in your reservoir to keep the pH from dropping as it is still "active" I guess depending on dosage. I'm still learning though. Thanks for dropping by 🙏❤️

yan402commented2y ago
@Hou_Stone,I'll be using this batch probably on my mystery seeds diary as it's going to take 3-4 weeks to finish fermenting, but I did do a "lighter" version out of curiosity, which I fermented only for a bit less than 2 weeks and only with banana peels and watermelon which I'm using already, and I can say that it's quite potent got some burned tips so I'll have to keep on "experimenting" and tune my main nutrient schedule differently. Thanks for dropping by 🙏

@Hologram,Just chilling in the kitchen having one coffee after another trying to get some energy to defoliate my babies had a rough week at work so a Coffein overload is necessary before I even start. I'll be making pics as well later of the defoliation progress.

@yan402 y @love_2_grow al final me he lanzado a hacerlo! 😍🙏♥️

Wow this is really extensive and how cool! I am also doing a similar experiment. How do you determine the nutrients you mention here? and when it is done how do you measure the nutrients? Quick question, I see you don't mention citrus fruits. I use dissolved lemon juice as PH - is this good for the plants? There is a lot of information on your growdiaries site that I find very useful :) If I have any questions, can I ask you privately?

@yan402, Verry nice to hear that lemon juice works great! I want to grow everything organically, hence this experiment. I have always had this hobby until 12 years ago. Something happened that made me unable to do it. but a few weeks ago that changed. It makes me feel so damn good to be busy with this oh so beautiful hobby again :)

Apecio muito, fertilizante cazeiro. Eu estou sempre experimentar, coisas nova.

@Tmasm, Thanks for dropping by and I'm glad you liked my diary, this weekend I might give it another go with fermented plant juice as that one failed to ferment properly, fermented fruit juice seems easier to make so far. 🙏❤️
