Three seeds all look different so have numbered them up, see if any difference in phenos. Seed 1 doesn’t look the best it’s smaller and smooth looking.
29/5/23 All put into paper towel method at 12:30. Temps for the week 22 during the day roughly 50% humidity, it’s down to 10 at night. Sunrise is 4:50 and sunset is 21:25
Seed 1 will be grown in cheap supermarket grow bag straight into final tub.
Seed 2 and 3 will be in solo cup of seedling soil for week and a half and into final pot of bio-bizz light mix after
All will be water for first two weeks then some veg nutes until signs of flowering every other feed. Going to use coffee grounds to add some nitrogen in just watering
30/5/23
Seeds 2 and 3 had split when checked at 19:00. Both into their solo cups one cm deep, seed 1 should be ready tomorrow morning.
1/6/23
Seed 1 has split slightly and straight into final 5 gallon fabric pot at 6am, little bit of water in surrounding area. Seeds 2&3 haven’t broken the surface yet.
3/6/23
Seeds 2 and 3 had popped through the surface of the soil when checked at 6am.
5/6/23 Temps for week 2 looking the same as last week 22 during the day and 10 at night until we get to Friday the 9th, then daytime going upto 25 and night 15. Seed 1 still hasn’t broke the surface, give it another week if no joy will pull it. Seeds 2 and 3 around an inch tall. Sunrise is 4:46 and sunset 21:33.
6/6/23 seeds 2 and 3 transplanted into final pots at 9am, not fully happy with the soil from solo cups. No sign of seed 1 breaking surface
10/6/23 still no sign of seed 1 so will just get rid. Seed 2 is bit taller than seed 3 both healthy and starting to sprout three finger leaves. Added some coffee grounds to the water to give them small amount of nutrients. Temps are around 27 for next week with approx 50% humidity.
13/6/23 next set of leaves have just started to come out in middle of both plants, seem to be loving the sunshine and temps, gave them both a good watering (500ml) to get some water down in the medium, will mist during the day to keep them moist. Sunrise is 4:42 and sunset 21:40. Both getting 17 hours of light I’d guess approx 11 hours direct sunlight. Hope to see them take off as the roots expand this week.
19/6/23 both plants doing great, 2 is about 5” tall and just working on 5th node, 3 is about 4” and is on the 4th node, just done lst on both plants trying to make better yield, anchored the stem then bent over at 90’, gave them 100ml of nitrogen rich feed each around the base of stem. Will let them turn up themselves and then manage the canopy when needed. Temps this week have cooled down to around 22 and humidity up around 60. Nice breeze so should strengthen the stems naturally, number 2 has got a weed smell starting, number 3 no smell.
24/6/23 plant 2 was damaged slightly when doing the lst, was taped up and has fully recovered, tape was removed today. Think I lost two days growth due to it, overall it’s responded well to lst and side branches are starting to grow well. Plant 3 has loved the lst and has responded very well, lot of lower branch growth and both plants look as healthy as can be. Expecting some pre-flowers towards end of next week. 2 smells strongly and 3 still no smell at all. Temps for next week are down to maximum 20 with nights around 12, will put them indoors at night.
27/6/23 gave both plants 3 litres of water yesterday afternoon, checked plants this morning after work and both showing signs of pre-flowers near to top of plants. Regarding managing the canopy will let them do their thing for a week without any more water then flatten it out and give a good feeding with some coffee grounds and 1/4 does of vitalink bloom included, hoping to see some big stretch the next two weeks and plenty of bud sites opened up.
3/7/23 both plants are healthy looking, no signs of anything wrong, past week has been bad weather and just hope it doesn’t affect the yield, both have reacted well to training but number 3 seems to have more thicker side branching, regarding the pre-flowers number 2 seems a few days ahead of 3. Left plants out yesterday and ended up raining quite a bit that weren’t predicted. Won’t be watering them for a week probably due to the weight of pots. Gonna let them dry out fully then start on the vitalink earth max bloom.
6/7/23 number 2 is stretching more than 3, 2 has started turning purple on calyxes and a lot more apical dominant and pistils starting to increase rapidly, number 3 is a nice even canopy and starting to pistil slowly so I would say it’s behind as I thought. Rolled the sides of pots down to soil level to allow better air flow. Defoliated fan leaves from all branches and removed low growth tips, left fan leaves on the main stem, enough leaf coverage on each branch for stretch. Came home this evening to half of plant 3 including 3 stems and a few leaves off plant 2 been eaten by the dog!
7/7/23 nice sunny hot day today so have fed both 1.5litres, added 4ml vitalink earth max bloom and 0.5ml vitalink buddy to each litre.
11/7/23 number 2 seems to have stopped stretching, top of main cola is around 18inches from soil. If I wouldn’t have bent her over early I’d say she would be 24 inches tall now. Pistils coming out consistently all over and purple calyxes everywhere, number 3 seems to be ok after the dogs adventure into harvesting! Hasn’t stretched as much as her sister but seems to be more dense pistils. Still no purple at all, Couple of weeks ago I noticed that she had three fan leaves from a node, didn’t have a clue what it was so googled, whorled phyllotaxy apparently it’s called. Supposedly makes bushier plants, on the side branch I noticed this on, the plant has grew three branches at the very top of the cola, such a strange looking thing, looks like I’ve topped it but when you look closer can see there’s three growth tips, should be an interesting bud to see develop. Number 2 is really stinking now, number 3 just a mild smell.
14/7/23 gave both girls the last defoliation of most fan leaves and removed lower growth tips that weren’t that far developed to let her concentrate on the top three to four nodes. Number 2 has started to push the purple out into the stems of fan leaves and is really starting to swell and stink!! Number 3 has started to get a bit of purple in calyxes and is budding nicely, mild smell too, the branch where I noticed the mutation is growing madly, not getting fan leaves facing each other, seems to be putting two out together then another single leaf a third of the way around the main stem but all at the same node. Really strange to see, number 2 also has a slight strange growth to the fan leaves starting on one stem too(see red arrows). Having a few problems with insects thinking that the girls are a nice hiding place due to the bad weather, overall very happy with them.
16/7/23 mixed up a litre with 5ml vitalink earthmax 0.5ml of vitalink buddy and a quarter of recommended dose of 1ml so 0.25ml of vitalink pk 13/14 gave both plants 500ml, gonna give them a 1/4 dose of the pk for the next few feeds then a full dose in two weeks nice sunny day with temps around 20c and a nice warm breeze. The purple is really starting to come through now and plenty of pistils. Both smelling really strong. No sign of nute burn so will up them slightly next feed.
Was a pretty shit week weather wise, had two days of sun and 5 of rain, luckily they have been under the canopy on the back door and not soaked with the rain, plenty of trichome coverage and really starting to smell got a really strong sherbet smell, buds are starting to fatten up and pistils are starting to go bright pink on most buds, weather for this next week doesn’t look too bad so hopefully see the buds swell this week, they already seem like they will be quite dense. Should be done in three weeks according to seedsman so I’ll feed them for another week and a half then start to flush them if think they will be done. Can’t wait to harvest these and give them a smoke,
Weather has been really bad this past week in uk, two days of actual sunshine and rain the rest of the days. Slowly but surely fattening up but the weather has surely affected the density of the buds. Looking through other diaries of this strain I’d say two weeks and it could be ready, will start to flush with just plain water once a few pistils start to brown. Loved growing this strain to see the colours explode but really hard to keep an eye on bud rot due to how black and sticky the sugar leaves get, check out the close up and can see it looks like tar and the trichomes are black on leaves.
All the pics have been taken today, so another week has flew by in the life of these girls, weathers been a bit better this week and the girls are starting to mature, some pistils have gone orange and there’s lots of milky trichomes( also plenty of pink ones too). Started to flush them today and will just keep checking trichomes daily and waiting for them to swell once all pistils turn.
Just water now no feed, number 3 got chopped on 11/8/23, just looked done and all pistils were brown and trichomes were 20% amber. Has dried pretty shit so far. Number 2 is still going and keep spitting more pistils out, her trichomes are 90% cloudy 10% clear. I’ve took all her fan leaves off and waiting for her to start turning trichomes 20% amber and chop.
