TheBudWhisperer Been a minute since the last run came to an end. Weβre now back in the grow with a 7 plant run of fem photos. Each of these has been specifically chosen as a thank you nod and tip o the cap to a few of the breeders that have proven themselves reliable and high quality. While I am no longer bound by any sponsorship commitments, I wasnβt about to avoid giving deserving credit itβs due for these guys. All of these breeders have treated me extremely well in the past and this run is a tribute and thanks for that treatment.
Each of these breeders rock and you likely wonβt go wrong giving one of their strains a try. I have seldom had to be critical of any of them in the pastπ.
***update***
Lost the tropical fuel unfortunately. Seed damped off in the rooter - nuttβn doβn about that, just bad luckβ¦
Also lost a blue dream, nycd and the purple ghost candyβ¦ tough run. They all cracked but damped off and the NYCD grew downwards like a dopeβ¦

TheBudWhisperer Slow start with 4 stragglers after the first half batch of germs failed to pop. Got the NYCD and 2 blue dreams playing catch up with the rest. But, other than that - pretty standard growth for week 1. Pink Rozay has an obvious lead on everything and is almost ready for topping. Thatβll be required to maintain the eventual canopy and keep everything even.
This system is so damn easy I refuse to start another grow until I have the same set up in the other space. Probably a winter project at this point so that thereβs time to establish a new tester run. Alls well Iβm boring week #1π

TheBudWhisperer Week 2/3 of veg. And it was time to top 3 of em. Fimmβd the 2 blue dream and left the NYCD as-is. Itβs a runt plant and wonβt really do much of anything. They all recovered really well throughout the week and growth is slated to accelerate next week. If weβre lucky we flip in 2 weeks or lessπ€.
Minor deficiency noted on lowers amongst all plants at early veg growth. Likely because of varying needs and I keep the nute ratio to the point of starvation this early just to make sure thereβs no overfeed issues that are harder to correct. Alls well and just feeln em out right nowπ.

TheBudWhisperer Week 3 of veg. And theyβve recovered and exploded post-topping. Had to defo out quite a bit on the rozay and dos-I-do. Theyβll be the monsters of this batch. The og kush is lookn exactly as expected too. Shorter and quite stout - true to the indica lineage. The blue dreams are meh - weβll see how they shake off the fim but they didnβt react particularly well at all.
The nute regimen has continued to gradually increase. Iβve had no prior experience with these nutes so only time will tell but so far, so goodπ. At this pace of growth, we should get to harvest about as fast as possible for photoperiods - so thatβs a good thing. All told - Iβm still in love with my grow system. Best Iβve used in 10 years and havenβt found anything that comes close to the convenienceπ.

TheBudWhisperer Week 4 of veg. And all just maintenance right now. Should be flipping in a week regardless of what the smaller ones might be doing. Pruning and tying em down to maintain a very low canopy for the stretch. So far, so good. No real deficiency issues as weβve been keeping the regimen real conservative. All is well to the flower showπ

TheBudWhisperer Week 5 update and last week of veg for these girls. Most photos are post-defoliation and we stripped each plant out to clear up the canopy and allow for expected stretch and transition once the lights roll over to 12/12. Itβs a little early for the blue dream and NYCD but weβre not waiting any longer or else weβll have some height management issues. No deficiencies to note and alls wellπ

TheBudWhisperer First week of the transition this week and theyβre all shooting up quickly. All plants, even this early are looking to turn out rather well. Still holding the veg. Nute ratio for the first week of transition just to keep the nitrogen levels high as they turn to bloom. Weβll probably blend the veg and bloom ratio for week 2 before moving over to a full bloom ratio. Canβt upload video these days so I guess the sites on the fritz again - limited photos this week.
Alls extremely good hereπ€.

TheBudWhisperer Third week of transition and theyβre really doing well. Had to supercrop a few tops as expected but overall, canopy management has been excellent this cycle. They should have a really nice base for flowering. Nutes are steady as she goes - moving from a blended mix of veg and flower to straight flower ratios next week.

TheBudWhisperer More supercroppibg this week as the plants move into full flower. The stretch has still been pretty manageable. All plants are doing just fine and looks to be a very fruitful harvest on the way here. Alls good and photos are about to become a whole lot prettierπ

TheBudWhisperer Week 5 of flower and theyβre all starting to puff up and pack on hard. Got some early turn in the leaves on the do si do and pink rozay as well. They should all colour up pretty nicely as we move into colder months and the basement temps get a little lower on avg. alls still excellent and now just waiting on the finishπ

TheBudWhisperer Week 6 and entering late flower. All plants doing just fine and starting to plump out nicely. Nute ratios have remained constant and Iβm impressed with how well theyβve performed this cycle. Added in a little PK booster for these last few weeks to try and max out the yield. Weβll start lookn to pick the first to come down in about another 2 weeks or so. Systems on auto pilot as usual and itβs another great run of plants all around.
Winners are the pink rozay and dos I dos. Theyβll be bigguns with a generous yield. The NYCD deserves honourable mention after a runty start. She turned into a half decent plant and Iβm happy I let her live. The blue dream are probably the slowest to mature and the least notable in terms of trich production. The OG Kush brings up the rest as likely the last to come down but, sheβs still a solid plant and we expect good things. Alls well to the finish we hopeπ€

TheBudWhisperer Week 7 in the books and weβre coming up on the finish right quick. Everything will go at least a full 8 weeks with the dos I dos expected to finish out first in about a week or so. Weβre on trich watch for those plants now and theyβre showing signs of both fade and light burn. The rest are close but expected to go slightly longer as per last weeks update. What has been notable over the last week however, has been a late stage calmag deficiencythe likes of which I have not seen in some time. Itβs rather surprising just how much both the dos I dos and the blue dream have been impacted by it. While we donβt suspect or have concerns about it impacting overall yield or growth, itβs still real strange to see that pop up so late in the flowering cycle. No way weβll try to adjust for that this late in the game and hopefully they push through to the end despite it. Weβre real close now. A few more days and weβll start looking at a chop date. Dos I dos first, followed by the pink rozay, NYCD, blue dream and OG Kush. Timely too, thereβs less than a pound in the cupboards these days due to the previous hiatus and weβre expecting most of this yield will go straight into the rosin press. Canβt wait to see the squish yield on these as fresh buds.
