A little nervous, I don't want to fuck this up. I think I might have harvested my fem White Widow too soon. It got me an oz of smokeable weed so I am not complaining 👍because it smells and smokes great and gets me high!
I chose to do this diary because I searched high and low and there aren't that many MeatBreath diaries. This is my first try at an Auto. I've smoked it before and really liked it. So I figured I would try to grow it. I have it under a paper towel right now and will hopefully be putting it into it's grow medium, a 5 gallon vivosun fabric pot.
7-12-2023 seed has taproot, I put it into the fabric pot.
7-17-2023 I had to help the cotyledons find some light. I'm not sure about this seed, it's been really slow coming and well so far not that impressed with my skills or the seed. I hope now that it's found some light it will blossom!!!
I've read several opinions on this ... Is day one / week one when the first true leaves show or when you start germination?? I am when the first true leaves show for this grow.
This plant seems very small, I've never grown an auto before so I have nothing to compare it too. I hope it's supposed to be this small. I'm keeping the top soil wet by spraying it. The water is room temp (23C) and is water only, no nutes.
Week 2 and she's growing nicely, I'm still not using nutes yet, I'm a little nervous using nutes due to the issues I had with my last plant.
7-28-2023 - She needed watering so I broke down and used some nutes in her water. 1/2 ml per liter because she is so small still.
I gave her a trim so more of those bud sites can get more light. I noticed a couple pistils so that was cool. She will get her nutes on the 11th. I can't believe how fast she is growing. I have realized so many things that I did wrong on my white widow grow.
Week 5 is here and not really a whole lot going on except she is growing a lot and there are lots of pistils. I hope she gets more than 30g that would be cool. I did notice a small tree like coming off the fan leaves when I trimmed them but other than that I don't smell anything, yet! Through this experience I think I prefer photos to autos but I'm still learning and there is lots to learn, I could change my mind. Happy growing friends
I tried lowering the light to get more light to the bud points but I noticed light burn on the tips of the leaves. I put it up to 15 inches. The buds are getting bigger, she is drinking a lot more and she is growing tall. It looks like she is doing well, so things are good 👍
8-24-2023 I noticed her leaves wilting and weepy so I moved the light back to 17 inches and they popped right back up. All is good 😊
Week 7 has mostly been growing bud sites. I did notice a little orange on the tips of some of the leaves but not all of them and there is some red in the stems and top part of the leaf where the fingers meet. I watered her today ( I water every other day 2L ) and I feed her once a week and that will be this friday. The bud sites don't seem that big and I hope they get a little more thickness to them.
9-6-2023 Week 8 has started. The smell is very weak, if I touch the buds it smells like pine. I noticed some of the leaves turning orange with orange spots, my pH is solid 6.9 so I'm not sure. So far so good!!
9-8-2023 I went to water her this afternoon and BAM like a slap in the face she had a very pungent smell coming off her. I'd say she went from no smell to strong smell in a few days
The leaves are turning orange so I didn't feed her nutes during Week 8 and I will only add 1ml to 2L of water for Week 9. I was giving her 2ml to 2L of water but I think that is what caused the orange leaves.
Meat Breath took 10 weeks from seed to harvest, however I should have taken her down at week 9. She is very frosty and had a strong smell. Not to large of a plant so easy to grow in a smaller tent. I will grow this again.
