Germinated just fine, seed starter was a little hot for the other strains I grew but the MSG didnt seem to mind. The picture is of all the seeds I started in this grow, they are not all MSG. I will do diaries of the rest after this one.
I didnt separate the MSG from the other strains when I took this photo cause I didnt know I was doing a grow journal at that time. Plants did well in veg, had a little nitrogen deficiency as I was learning the plants and adjusting nutrients accordingly but overall doing well. The plants are under a cheap chinese LED light that cost sixty bucks. I stated that this grow is outdoors because after this I moved the plants outdoors, they just vegged inside till they were about 4 weeks old. I kept one inside and the other 2 went outside, more pics to come.
This is week 8 from germination. In the pictures is two MSG autos and one Big Bomb auto. The Big Bomb auto is the largest of the 3. These are in the garage getting light because the weather is crappy and rainy. So far the MSG have handled some pretty strong nutrient solution along with fortified soil, and have super dark green leaves. The Big Bomb doesn't like such high doses. The smell of the two MSG are totally different. One is very pungent with a strong acrid diesel skunky smell and the other is a piney mint lighter smelling one with a hint of skunk. The acrid smelling one is larger and is not as frosty as the other one which is much frostier but smaller. The one in the tent indoors is smelling skunky, gassy, fruity, and the structure is much different, Its like it topped itself, it has so many tops and I didnt top it. Pictures of the one in the grow tent in the next week. The acrid smelling larger one is in a 10 gallon pot and the other one outside is in a 5 gallon bucket. The one indoors is in a 10 gallon pot.
In the picture of the three outdoors, the closest one is the Big Bomb auto the other two are the MSGs. I pollinated them as well with some Grandaddy Purple pollen I had from 2014 from a photoperiod GDP male, probably a little late but I had to unearth the pollen from the bottom of the chest freezer. I wonder what will come of these seeds, a photo pollinating an auto, interested to see.
This is a picture of just the one inside, I didnt take any pics of the one outside in this week. As you can see the onside one has so many tops that it grew on its own its really cool. Smell is nice and skunky, gassy, onion, peppery.
This one is under 12/12 lighting and has been since June 14th. This photo was taken on June 27th, the seeds sprouted on April 15th, so now the plants are about 70 days from seed.
This is pictures of around week 12-13 July 5th to July 14th, this is the last update before the harvest. The outdoor MSG autos both had a little bud rot towards the end. The Big Bomb did not get any but the buds on the big boms are more airy than the MSG. The MSG buds are rock solid. Its been super humid and rainy pretty much their entire life so Im not surprised they got a little bud rot. The humidity levels have been in the 90% for days on end most days. The one indoors did not get any bud rot. All three plants grew differently as far as structure. Leaves stayed super green throughout till harvest.
Check out my harvest pics as well and smell report.
