Grow Questions

Can someone look at the most recent photos and tell me if this is normal (the close up of the pistils) ? The last two days I haven't see any changes in the plants: no height gain, flowering seems to go slowest. Is this okay?

That the plant stopped it's vertical growth means that it will focus it's energy and resources into producing buds. It's hard to tell if the plant is doing anything, but if you take pictures every 5 days you will notice how it developed it's buds. Your temperatures are fine, why would you want to use a heating mat? That could give you root problems. You recently transplante the plants and most likely disturbed the roots giving it some transplant shock, in a few days it will start growing. Be patient and good luck.

Hi Rien, all I can say is that it's too soon for harvest. Keep them going for another 3 weeks minimum and let's review the status then. Don't be alarmed by a couple brown pistils bcuzz this strain has a lot more potential, just look at my baby... She has already some brown pistils but still is shooting new white ones.

2 be honest I have the same issue as 1x northern light and 2x royal dwarf are already growing out of the expected proportions. So I just finished cutting the higher buds and one major side branch to create space and also to give more light en time to the rest. In the end you are growing to gain experience and good smokables so I believe there is no wrong only lessons

The point is that my closet can't keep all three of them (I didn't expect them to grow so big) so I might just chop the second one to give them space

Just look at my weekly update for comparison. Lots of brown but still I see that she can be pushed one more week before she will be put in the 48 hours dark. Obviously you can cut one down as a small test but as long as there is plenty of fresh air circulation I don't think you have to worry about any bud rot. From the other side.. If you cut one down this creates more room and light for the remaining plants which should give a bigger yield. Eventually the choice is all up to you but my advice would be to wait a bit longer.

Hey Rien. Your plants have really come on. Great to see. Merry Christmas, Bonne Noel, Frohe Weihnachten, and Nollaig chridheil (that's Gaelic).

Thank you, I hope they'll be okay while I'm gone. I left them with a cheap irrigation system and automated lights. Buon Natale, Feliz Navidad et cetera to you too :)

Hey Rien, when looking at the current status I recon you can keep on going for a couple more weeks to ensure you can fully enjoy the harvest. Please don't cut them down to soon as you will have major loss in weight and quality. If possible please invest in a irrigation system.

Don't worry about their thirst ;) As far as I know that means that your roots are doing what they are supposed to do. Very curious about the development and looking good and healthy green, good luck Rien!

@Athos thank you for the information. Temp dropped to 21/22°C, that's why I added the heat mat.
