Soaked Rockwool cube in Distilled water Ph'd at 5.85 until the actual water from the rockwool cube read 5.85 after being squeezed out some ( I know your not supposed to do it but I've done it this way every time without any problems) I then place the seed pointy end up in the rockwool cube and then the cube into the humidity dome with the top vents 1/4th to 1/3rd closed on top of a heating mat. The hydroton is also soaked in a strainer which sits in a larger bowl until the water reads 5.85 and much of the dirt has settled to the bottom of the bowl, I repeat this until the water from the hydroton becomes more clear a the bottom making sure to wash away as much as possible. I use 2 controllers to control everything, Exhaust fan ( exhausts to a separate room ) 3 Manual fans, humidifier, Dehumidifier and a led light, I only use distilled water for the entire grow and use a Apera 3719 for water testing, Each bucket has a 6 inch cylinder air stone attached to a shared 1189 gph air pump, a pump inside to get rid of old nute water and is also attached to a tote outside the tent to replace it, all pumps are controlled using smart plugs and a app on my phone, this really comes in handy when they get to big to move around, Each bucket also has a sample port and a level indicator tube with zip ties every half gallon to know how much they have eaten/drank, its also used for feeding and ph adjustments if need be
I think she got hit with some Ph down, 2 days after a ph adjustment I noticed she looked like she had a ph issue, the ph has been fine as the other plant shows no signs of ph issues right now, I believe I stuck her back in the nute water before the ph down mixed good or my meter wasn't reading right, I checked the meter against the 4 and 7 and they read correctly so I believe she just got hit, not to mention the newer leaves seem fine and new growth looks okay, we'll see, increased nutes to 1/4th strength
She's chugging along, increased nutes to half strength, she's a little small, showing same deficiency as the other plant, so I bumped her up to half strength grow and full strength cal mag just like the other plant, showing signs of pre flowering, I won't be doing any lst with this plant either
Increased call mag some and it has appeared to have worked, started 1/2 strength bloom nutes, gave a haircut, upgraded tent controller, with the help of 4 uis plugs, a dongle splitter, putting the fan that blows on the light in manual mode, and using one spot for the dehumidifier/humidifier because I don't run both at the same time I can now use 2 spots to fill the buckets and 2 spots to drain the buckets manually or on a Schedule etc giving me complete control using 1 controller and 1 app
Reduced the extra cal mag she was getting, she didn't like it as much as I thought lol, she's doing good though, bumped up flower nutes a smidgen and added terpinator into the fold id usually use Botanicare sweet but I bought the terpinator once because the price was so good and I'd been wanting to try it, removed some bigger fan leaves, will do a defoliation soon, eating and drinking as expected
She's really enjoying the feeding so no increases in nutes this week other than the addition of Silica blast, I might just let her ride out the rest of the way like this, can no longer add food from lifting the net pot so the feed tote is now up and running when needed, seems to be favoring a sativa growth structure, bud sites coming in great, did some trimming to help with are flow and humidity
She gave it one last stretch which put her to close to the light so I ended up having to turn the light to 80% so I could keep the fan on it, I could have just raised it and kept it at 100 but I didn't want to move the fan. bought a re fillable 6 inch carbon filter for the exhaust fan, it didn't have one when I bought it so I figured might as well get 2 for one and save some money down the road, I'll update with pic when it arrives. She's not fattening up like I'd hoped, and some of the pistils have a very faint orange on the tips, doubled up on the terpinator, treated the tent with Insecticidal soap inside and out for good measure
She's starting to fill out nicely she's definitely trying to pack it on, consuming a gallon a day, some orange pistils here and there, smells good, really good, refillable filter installed, sprayed tent and outside again for good measure looks like she's got a good 4 weeks to go, hoping she gets super thick if not it's cool there are a shit load of bud sites, this happened with my cali Kush too.
Not too much longer to go, about two weeks maybe three id say. very nice sweet smelling citrus smell, sticky too ! She's bulking up better than expected, hope she plumps up even more, orange pistils coming in with beautiful milky trichomes
She definitely added some weight, happy to see it, gave her one last trim before harvest, still consuming a gallon a day, got a couple left in the feeding tote after that no more food, she's got about a week, week and a half to go, I love the smell she has, very tropical and sticky milky trichomes everywhere some are starting to turn amber
Great harvest, filled in better than I thought, very sticky, trimmed her up pretty good prior to harvest, going to try finishing her up with dry trimming now since I trimmed her up pretty good already, I'll be using the bowl trimmer on this one
Nice sized plant. I am growing two free seeds of this strain from blimburn as well and they look very tiny compared to yours.
Yours looks like my gelato 33 when I harvested and yielded around the same weight. However this run my purple haze is looking like my royal haze. Very very compact, dense and short.
@Dabking,first of all, awesome rig !!!, and thanks, that was my first blimburn seed too, she was very compact as well, I had a fun time growing it, nice " no pic this week " lol and diaries
