Welcome to my first Northern Light Auto grow. I heard good stories of it being the highest yielding auto of Royale Queen Seeds.
Let's see how big she gets when doing a FIM on the main shoot at node 7 or 8, as well as FIM on the lateral shoots. Im curious to see how many more shoots she will produce.
In a glass of water on Monday and it sank to the bottom on the same night. I put it in a paper towel and it germinated the next day on Tuesday.
I put her in a 15L fabric pot with Plagron light mix.
The next day, she sprouted already super fast.
My seedlings are beautifully pointing their leaves up to the lights.
The first week of the Northern Light Auto by RQS.
She has a really strong start already. I only sprayed the soil with regular tap water. (We have good quality tapwater where I live.)
I will give her pH water with very little nutrients in the end of next week.
She is already at node 2 entering 3 in the first week. I hope she has a longer veg time and recovers fast from FIMming.
Let's see how rapid she will grow this week.
Week 2 of Northern Light.
She is growing super fast and is at node 5 in 2 weeks already.
I started feeding her a little bit of nutrients and will increase the amount this week again.
By the end of next week I will probably start with a FIM on the main shoot.
The leaves are definitely more Indica-like compared to my other hybrid strains that I'm growing.
I'm hoping she will have quite a longer vegetative stage compared to the F1 Hybrids, allowing for more training.
Stay tuned for the progress!
Boy I did not expect this. The northern light already seems to go into pre-flower. I already spotted white pistils on the top and I havent topped her yet.
This means I am doing LST only and I already started the first bends.
I slowly introduced nutrients and she is growing very fast.
I will tie the side branches down as well this week.
I actually was hoping for a little bit of a longer vegetative period.
Stay tuned!
The Northern Light really stretched this week in Pre-flower.
I really did not give her enough training but she is turning out quite nice.
I added more nutrients and she has beautiful green colours.
I will not do any additional training anymore.
I am excited to see how she further develops.
The Nothern Light is now in full flower. The white pistils have really appeared and are shining and growing bigger and bigger.
I changed from the veg nutrients to the bloom nutrients. No toxicity or deficiency is showing, perfect.
Although she does not have a lot of shoots with flowersites, she really strechted beautifull and is growing superfast.
I wont be training her further. A single bend on the main shoot was enough. Im still curious about what would happen if I topped her.
Let's see how the flowers will turn out!
Check my other diaries for other strains😃
The second full week of flower for the Northern Light.
She really stretched far out and is producing very thick white pistils that are very shiny.
I am not doing any further training.
The nutrients are doing a fine job whilst giving half a recommend dosage.
There are no signs of stress at all, which is perfect. Hope she will stay like this!
Happy growing!
The Northern Light is really busy with producing more calyxes. I gave her quite some nutrients but no signs of toxicity is present. She really takes nutrients well and looks great.
Im excited to see her in full flower with big buds.
She already looks very frosty.
Stay tuned amd happy growing!
Please check my other diaries.
The northern light is packing up. She is getting fatter and looks beautifull. Pretty orange pistils
No burnt leaf tips or anything. Which means you can really push this strain.
I still am feeding her half dosage and have implemented the PK booster this week.
Let her grow fat!
The northern light is slowly packing herself with big buds and colourfull orange pistils. Im excited to see the full matured flower already.
Nothing really new, no problems at all.
Still feeding her quite heavy. She can take it.
Happy growing!
Hola amigo
Nunca he hecho topping a una automática. Lo haría solo a cepas que veas en el foro que lo llevan bien, como las Gorilla Cookies de Fastbuds y algunas cepas muy potentes del estilo
@nonick123, thank you! Im very curious now, Ive never grown a classic before.
I will only bend the main shoot and let the rest grow!
Do you have any further advice, do you recommend Lollipopping? Have you topped auto's before?
Cualquier cosa, puedes preguntarme!
@nonick123, yeah it is the automatic strain. You think she will start producing white pistils between week 3 and 4? Good that I will be FIMming them right before that
@Densko, hi mate, will strongly advise you to not apply any topping or fimming to any autoflowers. Have massive yields on the original Northern Lights in the past. Lovely bedtime puff. Growing first auto now and so far having a lot of fun with these little ladies :)
Happy growing buddy
✌️
Very beautiful ! Besides - do you use any extra CalMag addon? I am thinking about to spray the leaves with foliage 3 ml/L once a week to be sure the plant receives all necessary macro nutes …. What is your opinion ?
@CruelJa, I agree fully! I have not used CalMag, but I am about to purchase it. I do see some calcium and magnesium deficiency so I will be purchasing it soon and I would definitely recommend it. For me personally, I would add it as a liquid fertilizer.
