Didn't get my grow light yet. Using a 216W T5 fluorescent that was on hand already.

Exciting week with the plants really starting to take off. Gave the first real saturating watering. Added 1/2 bottle recommended dose of cal-mag.

Just keeping up with watering and checking on the plants daily. Have lowered the light some and started increasing intensity. Also lowered humidity trying to hit a more appropriate VPD. Planning to start feeding nutrients next week.

Gave first feeding with nutrients. Continued using cal-mag. Can definitely tell they want to drink more now. Plants are progressing nicely. Tucking larger leafs as branches underneath get long enough to reach. First pistils are coming out on all 4 plants. Have light a tad closer and up around 450 PPFD.

Upped the nutrients to half the dose recommended on the bottle this week. Started using LST clips and netting for training. Started seeing some yellowing at the tips of upper leaves. At first thought it was some kind of deficiency, but upon further research it seems more like nitrogen toxicity. Maybe the liquid nutrients weren't necessary and the soil had plenty already. Looking back, it does seem the Banana Daddy leaves are dark blue/green and are clawing down fairly often. Have decided to hold off on adding more nutrients until I see some signs of recovery.

Got into defoliation more this week. Have also continued tucking, training with the net/trellis, and using LST clips. Based on signs I was seeing in the leaves last week and researching more grows, I was comfortable starting to give flowering nutrients this week. The Trainwrecks aren't quite as far along even though they were planted at the same time. Their small leaves (the ones that will turn into sugar leaves) seem to be twisting. Though they eventually straighten out. I am thinking this may be due to light stress. Though I am hoping to ride it out because the Banana Daddys are ahead in flowering and can use the light.
