So this is day 14 not sure if it's root rot my first go round with hydro/dwc there's no smell or slime on the root plant still growing nice and quick, I did notice neut burn so changed the res gave a good clean out and scaled them back to 1/8 of manufactures specs 330ppm and 5.4ph.
I've got over half brown roots no slime smell fine res temps 21-19 when I'm checking once a day. Room temperature flux between 25 when on 17 off. Is this the start of root rot or am I just stressing over nothing.
Hello @Stooooned. Nah, it isn't. But if you want to take some preventive measures you can add trichoderma harzianum (its an aggressive fungus) like bioponic mix from GHE. Then stop it and add a mycorrhiza . After the mycorrhiza has establish and you have a simple DWC system ( not under current that uses water pumps ) you can give in the bucket a compost tea. It will make your roots very white. Happy growing ! 👊
Wasn't gonna manifold this cause it was just growing so well but thought Fuck why not. Hopefully recovery time isn't too long and she'll be pumping away again 😁..
This week was shit house, poor bugger got the claw so emptied the res and dropped neuts way back to 200ppm. I've noticed this particular white widow strain doesn't do we'll with heavy neuts so hopefully I can get her back on track and growing like she was.
This has to be one of the bushiest plants I've ever had constant defoliation man... So I did the manifold/mainline whatever you want to call it exposed the 8 mains. Slowed the growth by a day but I've found this plant if the ph is kept at exactly 6.0 and let it drift up to 6.3 it bounces back real fast. The last pic is the day after I trimmed it all back to expose the mains and it hasn't missed a beat. Depending on how tall she gets I'll flip her next week I think. Think alls going well for my first hydro/dwc grow. Anything I should or shouldn't be doing let me know haven't really done much research into hydro just jumped in.
Um just alot of pruning really it's smashing back the neuts which is a pain to keep on top of. She hasn't had a lot of vertical growth but it's lateral growth is pritty hearty..
Ph has been all over the place this week not sure if it's because the root ball is so big that the air stones aren't creating enough bubbles so I'm just doing it old school and measure then adjust. Not much happened again apart from ph flux. Buds looking good getting bigger everyday day has a nice sweet scent to them.
Good week everythings ticking along well. Nice smell in room really starting to fatten up pics don't really do her justice. Ph still all over the place but I've been keeping on top of it and she's just doing her thing.
This thing is a champ been super hot here so controlling heat was a mission but she's hung in there. Still fattening up as you can see in the pics. Last week this week so I'll start the flush in a few days and chop her down.
This was my first hydro/dwc grow and to be honest this is so easy to grow. The plant was awsome have to give a shout out to ams seed for this white widow xtrm was so easy to grow took training like a champ and the smell is epic. Only just been pulled so will update on taste and high but I can imagine it's gonna be good..
